What I love about the finale is that them going back in time to start it over again explains the reruns of old episodes! It’s such a brilliant and beautiful way to finish a show! I love it

That's how you know they truly love each other, the fact that they were stuck together for YEARS and loved every second of their time with each other is true devotion and love.
The fact that they spent the better half of their entire lives in a frozen world and stayed a loving couple into their senior years says a lot about how much they love each other.
What really got me about this ending was how honest they kept it. For all it's time travel shenanigans, they ended up growing decades older instead. Poetry.

Throwing my opinion on the whole loop debate - i remember when this episode originally aired, as soon as it was done they played the first episode right after, there wasn’t even a commercial break either, the last second we see here with the credits then jumps straight to the pilot. coincidence? 50/50, but what I like about this theory is that unlike most shows, it makes watching reruns/rebinging the show have more meaning, like you’re not just rewatching it, you’re watching them go through the loop again and in its own crazy stupid way it’s almost like you’re watching a new episode, regardless on everyone’s opinions on what happens after he pushes that button I think we can all agree that this was a great show with a very wholesome ending
They seriously nailed it with this finale, never been more emotional and satisfied by a conclusion to an amazing story, my love for this series is bottomless and many of the lessons it's taught me and moments it's given me will stay with me forever.
Can I just say I adore this finale? Imagine it..A world that's for you and the one person you'd love to spend eternity with. Having the ability to walk on water with the sun at your back. To see a snowflake suspended in motion that you wish upon it. To know that time belongs to the both of you, and not the reverse. Fuck, I'm jealous of these two. Fry and Leela were in their mid to late 30's in 3013. 38 if you want specifics, although it depends if Leela actually was a couple years younger after going in the fountain of aging in Teenage Mutant Leelas Hurdles ten years prior in 3003.
That would actually make sense considering the distance they would have walked For example, in the 1700s it would take 3 years to travel on a ship from england to japan
I'm hoping it'll (and most likely will) be after the events of Meanwhile so we can get to see Fry and Leela's life together as a husband and wife with the universe unfrozen. Then again I'm so desperate for more Futurama if they decided to make the comics into episodes I'd accept that too.

The use of Chopin made me absolutely lose it, especially because I was recently playing this piece and had just finished my music degree. So beautiful.
When I first watched this as it came out and heard Chopin, I immediately was overwhelmed with bittersweet emotions. I bawled because it reminded me that they played this song at my Grandpa's funeral. He was a genius, a hell of a marine and wonderful man, though I didn't know him too long. He loved to play classical piano, especially Chopin. Rest easy, Grandpa. I dropped the series like 20 years ago at the school... Only now after 20 years I come across this video and learn that Fry and Leela marry in the end. I used to ship them so hard... Now I feel old but satisfied

Futurama to it's credit knew when to quit. Didn't end on cliffhangers, in fact each season finale made each attempt to be a good series finale when the creators knew the show was coming to an end.
What a beautiful ending! this with My Little Pony FIM, Regular Show, Steven Universe, King of the HIll, Bojack Horseman etc. have such beautiful ways to end their series even on good notes as it's better to end than become a repeptive stale zombie corpse like The Simpsons, Family Guy and Spongebob

I've never seen a perfect ending to a show before this. Its both bitter sweet the show didnt end here. I want more Futurama but... this was sorta their perfect ending.

The professor tells fry and leela that it will send them back to the instant before he had the idea for the time button meaning that he wont come up with it. And because the professor was showing the crew the button for the first time in meanwhile and with how fast the professor fixed it we can guess he built it only a few days before meanwhile. Also the Simpson crossover and podcast episode take place after the series finale. So if they ever brought the show back they probably wouldn't even address the time button and just do more random episodes.
Not necessarily, the Professor probably calculated ahead to ensure time doesn't stop again even if he doesn't remember what happened by leaving a note or something in the device itself. I mean he wouldn't just doom himself to another eternity doing nothing but moving at right angles over and over again right?

How does freezing time let you walk on water? Leela literally blew a snowflake and it moved, meaning the water should have been capable of moving too. This was literally the best ending they had though.

...quite an exaggeration mate. It took about 6-7 months to sail from the Netherlands to Deshima in 1617.

That is not the case, the frisbee is still frozen in time, it's because Fry interacted with it that it was able to move, but it was still frozen.
