I know a contractor who has one like this but not same brand, he also has a very large one mounted on a good size excavator, we use this guy to clear a fence line. Also we use 8" logs and up for saw logs, always remember the ugly log is the one with the pretty wood inside. Have A Day

You got air in the cab that blade really kicks up alot of dust, does a great job . I started out using as DR brush mower I also got the 46" lawn deck did fine at fitrst but they had as lot of trouble with the drive chair Dr sent me all the parts I needed to fix it finally figured out that thert was to much flex in the drive set up the sent me some pretty lame fixes with plastic parts, they made cradle that bolted to the trans and frame work but it was only a twenty six brush deck. They now have a trans axle like on a lawn tractor. But made living with it clearing lots but it would still chucvk a hunk of wood, I liked working outside some people didn't like the $40.00 a hour rate I charged I just hand to figure out how long it take the give them a total price for how many day it take to do the job. But I worked alone wanted no one around while mowing, but I ended up with doing lawn mowing as well, its hard work but I liked it, I liked being my own boss.

Hey Mike, Mike here..... That diamond mulcher is a hoss for sure. Like you said the deer are curious about equipment that way. You talked about all your Ash dying years ago. When they logged my place here in W Ky this past fall they saw a little sign of that Ash Bore Beetle or what ever . They cut every ash even down to pulp wood size because only a matter of time. Tell Hunter hello from Ky for me.

Well Mike this machine should make all of the "You Shoulds" happy, you know the ones that have been saying, "You should get a chipper". That machine...what a tiger! HUNTER ALERT! I was outside of the local super market (Stop and Shop) and they had little .6 cu. ft. bags of mixed hardwoods for sale for $8.00 a bag. These bags of wood are kiln dried and have the bark on them; just thought you'd like to have an idea for pricing when you start to get Hunter going on his fire wood packing. I’m curious. That wheel is heavy and turns fast which means it has a lot of angular momentum like a big gyro. When you tilt the wheel like you were curling a bucket, can you feel the wheel tugging on the tractor? For the curling action the resulting tug would be to try to tilt the tractor sidewise. If I have the rotation correct, the tilting force would be to the right.

Deer have learned machinery in the woods may mean new food or other changes. logging would mean new cover and tops for grazing, for example.. My dad said deer would welcome chainsaw sounds, not spooking as from hunters. There was toy Engine for bicycles which emulated a motorcycles sound. Dad mentioned he wondered how deer would react to it, in hunting.
Also deer once called "Virginia deer" are not actually native to much of their current range. Human settlement removed the heavy, old growth forest. The much opener forest, and fields of post settlement opened the door to deer moving north. Deer have even adapted to the near urban area where I live. Areas like this still have small areas of woods, yet are too thickly settled to support safe hunting, Deer and Coyotes have taken advantage of this habitat. God Bless you..
