The end ing made me realise that there is always more to the story that is portrayed. This might just be THE anime to surpass FMAB for good.
I wish I could’ve also went in blind, although the impact was the same because I am an anime only. I first saw the anime promoted and wanted to know more about it to decide if it was my taste but of course, the commenters just can’t put a spoiler warning. I got spoiled about Ai’s death. Also, a question- what is FMAB
I got spoilt a bit, still was screaming and cowering in fear. I hate it when shit gets spoilt. I however did go into Gundam Witch from Mercury blind this season (2nd cour also came out in April)
I love how they did the intro becuase it's not one of those "Oh, they had dead parent due to a tragic event," It's "Oh so this is waht happened... Then this... Oh and they are all connected like this..." It shows us and I think that we can build a connection because they demonstate to us why we should care, and ACTULLY gives us the emotions, "then all these happened in this CONTIUOUSE THING, not a sudden short flash back" Edit: forgot, but it's like a lot of books we were forced to read in english class like things fall apart :/ all the extensive small problem and story telling and setting up.
I know it’s obvious but it hits me harder personally that her name is ‘Ai’ as in love in japenese. And instead of ‘koi’ which is more romantica ‘Ai’ is the purest definition of love representing the love she learns to have with her family.
Ai is one of the stagenames of the idol in Japan this entire series was inspired by; Mayu Tomita, who was stabbed over 60 times by a fan simply because she returned their gifts, Ai as a character was written as a direct tribute to her and those events.
Oshi no Ko was honestly such an interesting first episode, one that for sure broke a lot of people's expectations outside of the fact that it was the length of a full movie lol The shift in focus toward the end as the story begins to follow Ruby and Aqua was honestly so smooth and I loved watching Ai's progression as she tried to find it in herself to love people through her lies. I think it was really good that you spoke to the industry side of things as well considering that objectifying these idols as if they are possessions is a really bad habit that idol culture sort of promotes in Japan (Kind of anywhere but Japan has it pretty bad). It can be a pretty nasty business and giving Ai that sort of disconnect in personality between her job and her at home life was really interesting to watch. Great video man, it was hella worth the wait :D
The thing that makes the ending even more depressing is seeing the recording that Ai made of their first birthday to show them when they were older only to see that she didn't live long enough to even see their first day of school
i completely agree that Oshi no ko has the greatest opening episode of all time. and i mean it has the unfair advantage of having that 90 minute run time. because of being so long the anime was able to tell a complete story to set up the future of the show. it can kind of be looked at as if this is in fact a movie created as a prologue to the show. i was able to feel so many different emotions, feel like i got an entire story, and still feel anticipated for the future of the show. I’ve recommended this anime to every single person i know, and as an anime only, i can’t wait to see ruby and aqua’s story unfold
When the anime adaptation got announced, my friend immediately told me that its going to be amazing and to avoid spoilers, so that's what I did. I actively avoided every bit of information about this show, and I am so happy I did. Going in completely blind made it hit much harder, and I'm not going to lie when I say I cried (you know when), and I think if it's going to maintain this quality, I think it is going to be anime of the year for me. But I'm sad that as soon as the first episode came out, so many spoilers got released through social media and youtube. During the episode, I was loving more and more Ai's character, and I was heartbroken when the twist happened. Another thing that makes me sad is how a lot of people just skip it based on the cover and the synopsis. On one side, I am happy the synopsis didn't spoil anything, but on the other hand, it annoys me when people skip it thinking it's just another boring sol isekai show. okay this was the longest comment I ever wrote sorry if my English was bad its my 2nd language and thank you for reading
People in this hobby have a terrible habit of skipping things without trying them. Heck, most people get into it on shounen junkfood and spend years rejecting anything that's not a battle anime before the find something deeper. (Not saying everything in the shounen battle genre is junkfood, but there sure is a lot of it there lol)
Bro, im 35. And this show made me effing cry tears, down my face tears. That was 4 days ago, and still I get really chocked up re-seeing that scene or thinking of it, now I'm reading the manga and teared up again for that scene-- i swear, this had to have been the saddest death scene i have ever witnessed in fiction. None other has ever affected me more than a day or 2, tops. Especially in the anime version, that scene is burned into my memory, the way she looked.
I've tried typing out the way this episode made me feel so many times and I just can't put it into words, even a month later I still can't go to sleep without hearing the words "I love you... aah... I finally said it, that definitely wasn't a lie" as the scene plays over and over in my head. The entire production team, from the director, to the animators, the voice actors (especially Takahashi Rie), they've all created such a masterpiece that has made me feel more genuine grief than I've ever felt over real life events (which is a bit worrisome to be honest, a work of fiction got more out of me than anything else that has happened in my life). And of course you can't forget who wrote it, Akasaka Aka who has quickly become my favourite Mangaka after watching Oshi No Ko, I already loved Kaguya-sama as my number 1 romance anime but that was the only thing I knew from Aka-sensei so I never really payed much attention to him, now I've realised how much this man never misses on anything he writes and I'm never going to miss out on any series he works on. See even after all that I don't feel like I've put all my feelings into words, I just don't think it's possible.
Not sure if I read too much into this, but I've been thinking about how Ruby and Aqua's responses to Ai's death are reflected in how they experienced it; Aqua having seen it firsthand and afterwards showing his declaration of revenge and Ruby being behind the door when it happens, keeping some innocence in check and decides to pursue being an idol in memory of Ai Anyways, this was a great video, you've got a new subscriber :)
And to think on the 27th Aka is going to write another series called Love Agency. That means he's gonna do two series all within the same week again. I just hope he doesn't burn himself out like he did when he was finishing up love is war and doing Oshi No Ko at the same time. Hell, after doing love is war he quit drawing to focus on writing.
@@danyul- most authors can draw and put out a chapter within 4 to 6 days and Aka was able to put out a love is war chapter in three. That's just insane and you could see him wear down near the end as he was taking more breaks as usual.
I was not ready for this when I watched it and the final scene hit me like a sack of bricks, I don't even think it's the fact that she gets stabbed, just the scene following it was so powerful and depressing. 10/10 ep
As someone who loved Aka Akasaka’s previous work in Love is War, with it’s surprisingly in depth and lovable characters, when I heard he started a new series and how good it was I decided to put it off to let it marinate so to speak. So when I heard it was getting an anime adaptation I eagerly waited. And was it worth it. That single episode made me say screw it and catch up to the manga in a single day.
I’ve watched the episode probably 7 or 8 times over the last week with reactors, seen many reviews, talked about it a lot. And my heart is STILL so soft that the mere mention of you talking about the performance of Rie Takahashi is making ugly cry
I'm looking forward to the anime. Definitely one of the ones i'm most excited for this season, and as a manga reader I hope that they're able to adapt it well. If so, this might end up being one of the best shows (if not the best) this season. Really great video, man.
Im a big idol fan so when I heard news of a new idol anime I watched it instantly. I went in knowing nothing and was blown away. Ive never cried so much to an anime let alone the first episode. Saying I was shocked is a huge understatement.
I think the flashforwards where mainly here to make readers stay until the end of the prologue, which is not necessary when you put everything in one episode and make that ending even more unsuspected and powerful
I think the nature of the series by itself also complements the stellar quality they put into the final product. During Kana's scenes I couldn't help but also think about Kana's VA doing an excellent job, only amplified by the narrative talking about the thought process that is behind the casting.
This could have easly been an amazing comedy slice of life, there is a universe in which it is, but we ain't living in that universe *presses cigar out* no, we live in the mysterie and Drama romance with a nice amount of thriller sprinkeld in, we could have gotten our hearts stolen by Ais family life but instead we got our hearts broken by one of the most exciting mangas I have read in a long time.
as someone who has spent most of their life watching anime, i had begun to feel that anime had dried out. which is entirely my fault because i had fallen down the isekai rabbit hole. but lo and behold, oshi no ko episode one. it brought out so many emotions that i havent felt for an anime in so long and it instantly captivated me. and all in one episode(movie) at that. it's even more great because i get to experience it all with my two cousins, one of which didnt even like anime just a week ago. needless to say, i definitely have a refreshed view on anime again and hope that oshi no ko carries it for the next few months. it's funny because i originally had no plans on watching it.
Man idk what I expected coming into this but it hit so hard. Never heard of it until just a few days ago so as an anime only it threw me for a loop and I've seen so much anime by now. Great piece of work, recommending it to friends for sure.
I honestly believe that even with an hour 30, the adaptation made incredible use of its time. Any anime could start with over an hour of a first episode, but the delivery to make it so good?? That watchers are hooked from beginning to end takes a whole lot of skill and pacing. I loved this first episode
The first episode absolutely blew me away… I knew SOME spoilers, but by the time I got 30 minutes into the episode, everything I knew about had happened… the episode was a wild ride. The episode absolutely sold me on the series, so I have now purchased volume 1 to read. I cannot wait to see where the series goes from here. :)
I don't usually write a lot of comments but this video touched me. You say everything I thought. This love for the characters and everything else makes this Story simply unique and has robbed me many tears. Thanks for the video!
Bro got me tearing up from a review man. I honest to God just love everything about this Manga and love more what this anime is doing for the source as well. I can't wait to see a lot more from this show with certain future scenes, in this season, and future seasons to come. There are a couple scenes that I hope/know that will be done justice, ie aqua's acting scene with best girl. As my favorite Manga of all time, this has my some of favorite anime adaptions to happen in recent years.
When a brilliant story gets an amazing adaptation u get that first episode. I feel like you rarely see such detail and care put into a show that's not a shonen, breath of fresh air
Really liked you analysis, specially the final part. I totally agree that this is one if not the most impressing 1st part of any anime. The idea that this story got such a great animation is a fresh breath in the anime and manga industry. Aka Asaka must be pleased about how everyone did such a great effort to create such a strong and great adaptation of the work he wrote. Kudos to your video.
AI’s death recked me almost as bad as the going merry’s send off because unlike the latter AI’s death feels like a life that could have been was ripped away as opposed to a good life lived and a sad farewell
I haven't read the manga befoehand. Going into the anime adaptation fully blind. The first episode made me feel so many emotions, disgust, anger, happiness and sadness. Oh god I cried so hard, don't remember the last time a show made me feel like this. Impressive how connected I felt to Ai, even though it was just one episode. I loved it
I've seen the manga, and the story I don't know if it is one my favourite, but this premiere really left an impression on me. The adaptation went all out :,D
I checked the first four chapters from the manga prior to the anime release and i am glad i stopped there, the intro episode conclusion was one of the most powerful moments I’ve ever witnessed in anime and got me even more invested
i absolutely love the anime and the manga ever since i started reading it's easily in my top 5. the animators have really went above and beyond doing the manga justice.
I went into this anime blind and came out of the first episode blinded by tears. It was such a turn that I’m not even sure what this anime is about anymore
I was completely stunned by how amazing the first episode was, i went into it not expecting much when i saw it was "isekai" but while watching it i was taken back by the animation the emotion and the hidden world of idol culture its beautiful and takes u completely by surprise especially when *that* happens, the I love you fucking killed me man i dont think ive balled soo hard. Im so excited for the future of this show and havent had a show make me feel this way in a while. Sorry for this mess of a comment thanks for reading
As a manga reader i really hope it ends in chapter 68-72 range it's just a perfect way to close a season. Before you say it's to many. the chapters are very short compared to normal rate it's like 5:1 now granted they are absolutely gorgeous
I have seen a lot of people giving Aqua shit for not reacting like the doctor he was in his former life. But all of those failed to take into account the following factors: - He was still a 3-4 years old boy. - There is a CRAZY man in the room with a knife. Who knows how that lunatic would have reacted at any attempt to help? - Rushing to get first aid would have also endanger his sister. As he had no way knowing if Stalker would go after them once Ai is gone. - You have NO WAY knowing HOW you would react if you never have been in his situation. Sometimes, in the case of an agression, potentially fatal, your mind just shut down. Ai may have indirectly saved his children by giving this speech that may have disturbed the Stalker in what he was about to do.
The manga is another masterpiece by Aka Akasaka. It really shows how parasitic the relationship between idols and their fans are. If you guys don't watch idols then another compression would be Vtubers and their fans.
This could've been an amazing slice of life, wholesome anime about a family taking the entertainment world by storm, but, one singular scene and its destiny shifted so majorly, making the story even better.
Watching this completely blind from the anime perspective was absolutely wild. I had no idea what the plot was besides the main girl was an idol singer and there was multiple characters with shiny bright eyes [literally didn't even know this chick had kids]. If anything the anime intro had that 'dark chanting' in it that made me get slightly flashbanged with "why is there something so creepy/spooky sounding in the intro?". Which made me think there may be a plot twist to the anime? But god, nothing to be expected like with we got. Especially when we got full throttle of the man's body the first time, and then Ai's later on. They were all mind numbingly good- And the art for Ai's scene? I would be lying if I didn't say I was balling... I even knew she was going to eventually say 'I love you' but when it actually happened? It hit like a frait train. I immediately went to go read the manga afterwards, and I'm so thankful the anime adapted in such a direction. I would have hated those panels popping in. They felt incredibly spoilery and even reading the manga now made me a tad upset? It gives you insight on the characters in the future that I kinda wish I didn't have. But either way, this is probably the best introduction to an anime I have ever seen. I wish and hope more animes go about this style of a movie like episode 1, to really flesh out the characters and the world before truly moving onto the 'real plot'. This was just so good...
I don't know if it was intentional in any way, but having ruby blocked by the door in ai's death scene is such a genius move from a storytelling perspective as said in the video she started out with a barrier between her and a potential loving parent, and after reincarnating she finally got that parent that could give her the love she needed. but when suddenly that is ripped away from her, it was like a door was slammed shut against her, and she'd be back to not having that parent that could love them every day.
I think it was also symbolic of the divide between Aqua and Ruby in terms of what came after. Aqua seeking revenge and Ruby wanting to follow in her mother's footsteps.
That moment of her first true "I love you" broke me. Luckily, I am at home and alone so I can cry my heart out without any restraint. That moment was masterfully executed.
best girl was the one who was willing to communicate despite her sharp tongue and being avoided best girl constantly failed but never changed and kept steadfast best girl knows what she wants and constantly pursued it regardless of reputation best girl is direct and unfiltered among a cast of conniving individuals (except for mem, love you mem) best girl broke down, picked herself up without the need for help i'm not in the shipping war, but she as an individual character is just outstanding
I thought it was very interesting how Aqua being reincarnated didn't really have any high expectations for himself. It's almost as if he thought that he couldn't be an actor because he wasn't special in his previous life. I think that he thinks that the talent for acting is something innate that you are born with and that because he didn't have it before he can't possibly have it now and that it isn't something that you can learn.
I was in serious denial that she would die, until the stars in her eyes faded. I thought Aqua would be able to do something, but I searched it up an the chance of survival from a ruptured abdominal aorta is slim af. If only the stalker stabbed slightly to side.
I knew nothing about this story, and didn't even consider watching it until a review video said to 'watch it blind'. So i did. And Glad I did. it was amazing. I still think the way they drew Ai in her 'death'.. that watercolorish style was freaky and actually creeped me out some.
as an anime only, who listened to the opening before watching the show a billion times cause of how good it was, i hyped up this show even without knowing anything, wanting to see ai in the show seeing as it was the main character of the op. yesterday after watching the first ep i just felt so down for the whole day, even more that others i think since the main reason i watched this was 1. sick op and 2. wanted to see ai 😔 also 10:02 *ahem vinland saga*
This is going to be my anime of the year. No question. (I'm an anime-only btw, but if it's as good as Kaguya was, you know damn sure I'm picking up this Manga afterwards).
This only thing I have to say is. I am so glad that Oshi No Ko was adapted and that I forced two of my friends to watch the first episode. They are HOOKED now.
Man who tf cares if the first half of the ep had mid animation, it SLAPPED where it mattered. Watching the stars disappear from Ai's eyes, the line art forming Aqua's eye when he decided his future. HOLY FUCK
there were some very minor flaws with some very minor parts of the animation/pacing that I wish weren't as noticeable to me even during first watchthrough, but overall I'm happy with how this prologue was presented
watched this blindly and gashdarn I had my own character development haha, I started out veing weird about it into being open minded into just depression

It shows us and I think that we can build a connection because they demonstate to us why we should care, and ACTULLY gives us the emotions, "then all these happened in this CONTIUOUSE THING, not a sudden short flash back"
Edit: forgot, but it's like a lot of books we were forced to read in english class like things fall apart :/ all the extensive small problem and story telling and setting up.
I know it’s obvious but it hits me harder personally that her name is ‘Ai’ as in love in japenese. And instead of ‘koi’ which is more romantica ‘Ai’ is the purest definition of love representing the love she learns to have with her family.
Sometimes simple is the most beautiful
hoshi also means want in japanese. so ai hoshi(no) can be translated to wanting love
@@tabledevourer Hoshi also means star
I thought it was a movie at first haha
@@chappiescollectables Fr, the length of the first episode caught everyone off guard lol
Watching the whole first episode made it feel like a whole journey
After the countless amount of video essays I have seen on just the first episode, I can confidently say that this one is the best I've seen
Thanks! Means a lot
On one side, I am happy the synopsis didn't spoil anything, but on the other hand, it annoys me when people skip it thinking it's just another boring sol isekai show.
okay this was the longest comment I ever wrote sorry if my English was bad its my 2nd language and thank you for reading
yeah this series is so good to go into blind, I did the same with the manga
People in this hobby have a terrible habit of skipping things without trying them.
Heck, most people get into it on shounen junkfood and spend years rejecting anything that's not a battle anime before the find something deeper. (Not saying everything in the shounen battle genre is junkfood, but there sure is a lot of it there lol)
@@priestesslucy I totally agree
Not sure if I read too much into this, but I've been thinking about how Ruby and Aqua's responses to Ai's death are reflected in how they experienced it;
Aqua having seen it firsthand and afterwards showing his declaration of revenge and Ruby being behind the door when it happens, keeping some innocence in check and decides to pursue being an idol in memory of Ai
Anyways, this was a great video, you've got a new subscriber :)
It should be much easier on him now that he doesn't need to draw. I'm sure drawing one series while writing 2 was insane work
@@danyul- most authors can draw and put out a chapter within 4 to 6 days and Aka was able to put out a love is war chapter in three.
That single episode made me say screw it and catch up to the manga in a single day.
i had no idea episode 1 was gonna end like it did and i basically cried
I’ve watched the episode probably 7 or 8 times over the last week with reactors, seen many reviews, talked about it a lot. And my heart is STILL so soft that the mere mention of you talking about the performance of Rie Takahashi is making ugly cry
I'm looking forward to the anime. Definitely one of the ones i'm most excited for this season, and as a manga reader I hope that they're able to adapt it well. If so, this might end up being one of the best shows (if not the best) this season. Really great video, man.
Appreciate it!
This is what i thought too ❤. It definitely made me stay curious the whole time.
I think the nature of the series by itself also complements the stellar quality they put into the final product. During Kana's scenes I couldn't help but also think about Kana's VA doing an excellent job, only amplified by the narrative talking about the thought process that is behind the casting.
Absolute masterpiece. Manga was amazing and even though I Knew what was happening, it still hit hard. Cant wait for more
This could have easly been an amazing comedy slice of life, there is a universe in which it is, but we ain't living in that universe *presses cigar out* no, we live in the mysterie and Drama romance with a nice amount of thriller sprinkeld in, we could have gotten our hearts stolen by Ais family life but instead we got our hearts broken by one of the most exciting mangas I have read in a long time.
Good job man. I teared up in the end, you narrated it so well it gave me the flashbacks.
as someone who has spent most of their life watching anime, i had begun to feel that anime had dried out. which is entirely my fault because i had fallen down the isekai rabbit hole. but lo and behold, oshi no ko episode one. it brought out so many emotions that i havent felt for an anime in so long and it instantly captivated me. and all in one episode(movie) at that. it's even more great because i get to experience it all with my two cousins, one of which didnt even like anime just a week ago. needless to say, i definitely have a refreshed view on anime again and hope that oshi no ko carries it for the next few months.
it's funny because i originally had no plans on watching it.
Glad that you enjoyed it!
Bro I started crying again watching this video. Good job. You earned yourself a new subscriber
Appreciate it!
Huge OnK fan, reread the whole thing like 4 times. I AM. SO UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY. it feels like I'm watching my son finally grow up
hardest hitting ep 1 I have experienced in the 371 shows I have watched
AI’s death recked me almost as bad as the going merry’s send off because unlike the latter AI’s death feels like a life that could have been was ripped away as opposed to a good life lived and a sad farewell
Great Video. Really great. I started to cry again. Thank you so much for this beautiful video.
Thank you too!
I loved it
Dude, you are seriously underrated, you should have more subscribers
Thanks :)
Bro fr
I'm getting teary-eyed just watching this video and have to stop looking when there's images of THAT moment
Great video but at 6:03 it seems you've put in the wrong picture with akane. It's all good though mistakes happen 😊
💀 Kana maybe a bit of a clown but she stays the goat
@@danyul- aha I love kana too tho
Kana is love, akane is life,
but Ai had neither :(
From what I’ve heard it elevated the manga even more and brought it to life, I’m glad even though I’m not a manga reader
Great video danyul.
Thank you chimpact, very cool.
Thank you, I hadn't drawn the clannad afterstory connection to the emotional resonance. Very good, helped me put my thoughts in order.
as someone whos only heared about this i gave it a watch and it
absolutely broke me
I've seen the manga, and the story I don't know if it is one my favourite, but this premiere really left an impression on me.
The author really said: This world shall know pain!
Sorry for this mess of a comment thanks for reading
actually really well made video! totally agree, though I'm curious about where the season will end
As a manga reader i really hope it ends in chapter 68-72 range it's just a perfect way to close a season. Before you say it's to many. the chapters are very short compared to normal rate it's like 5:1 now granted they are absolutely gorgeous
@@m4y013 yea ive started reading the manga, its not too bad. I'd be surprised if they did this but we might have episodes closer to 25-30min
As a person who went in blind,I was broken.I didn’t cry but I was broken by this.
I have seen a lot of people giving Aqua shit for not reacting like the doctor he was in his former life. But all of those failed to take into account the following factors:
- He was still a 3-4 years old boy.
Ai's wound was also on the largest blood carrier in the body, there was really nothing he could do even if he wanted to
The manga is another masterpiece by Aka Akasaka. It really shows how parasitic the relationship between idols and their fans are. If you guys don't watch idols then another compression would be Vtubers and their fans.
amazing first ep, great youtube video too! i just saw ur channel and you just got another subscriber
Thanks a bunch :)
I wish I could like his as many times as I've cried over this show.
Incredible analysis
They were all mind numbingly good-
And the art for Ai's scene?
I don't know if it was intentional in any way, but having ruby blocked by the door in ai's death scene is such a genius move from a storytelling perspective
as said in the video she started out with a barrier between her and a potential loving parent, and after reincarnating she finally got that parent that could give her the love she needed.
but when suddenly that is ripped away from her, it was like a door was slammed shut against her, and she'd be back to not having that parent that could love them every day.
I think it was also symbolic of the divide between Aqua and Ruby in terms of what came after. Aqua seeking revenge and Ruby wanting to follow in her mother's footsteps.
100 percent facts bro ur amazing at explaining this all
I try my best
I can only say one thing about this episode, it's freaking more sad than "Your Lie on April".
That moment of her first true "I love you" broke me. Luckily, I am at home and alone so I can cry my heart out without any restraint. That moment was masterfully executed.
best girl was the one who was willing to communicate despite her sharp tongue and being avoided
best girl constantly failed but never changed and kept steadfast
best girl knows what she wants and constantly pursued it regardless of reputation
best girl is direct and unfiltered among a cast of conniving individuals (except for mem, love you mem)
best girl broke down, picked herself up without the need for help
i'm not in the shipping war, but she as an individual character is just outstanding

AMAZING FIRST EP
I thought it was very interesting how Aqua being reincarnated didn't really have any high expectations for himself. It's almost as if he thought that he couldn't be an actor because he wasn't special in his previous life. I think that he thinks that the talent for acting is something innate that you are born with and that because he didn't have it before he can't possibly have it now and that it isn't something that you can learn.
I was in serious denial that she would die, until the stars in her eyes faded. I thought Aqua would be able to do something, but I searched it up an the chance of survival from a ruptured abdominal aorta is slim af. If only the stalker stabbed slightly to side.
even if i read the manga before hand it was so insane how good the first episode was
amazing review
Thanks
As a manga reader i am really happy that its animated perfectly
It's one of those rare instances where a show actually exceeds my overhyped expectations.
I knew nothing about this story, and didn't even consider watching it until a review video said to 'watch it blind'. So i did.
And Glad I did. it was amazing. I still think the way they drew Ai in her 'death'.. that watercolorish style was freaky and actually creeped me out some.
I was told it was wholesome, Then I watched it...
It’s funny how it’s rated higher than full metal alchemist by 0.11 stars in MyAnimeList.
It definitely deserves it
to quote michael rosen
"it was great, really great"
as an anime only, who listened to the opening before watching the show a billion times cause of how good it was, i hyped up this show even without knowing anything, wanting to see ai in the show seeing as it was the main character of the op. yesterday after watching the first ep i just felt so down for the whole day, even more that others i think since the main reason i watched this was 1. sick op and 2. wanted to see ai 😔

This is going to be my anime of the year. No question.
(I'm an anime-only btw, but if it's as good as Kaguya was, you know damn sure I'm picking up this Manga afterwards).
Probably my favorite manga atm, but it's much different from kaguya obviously so they're hard to compare

This only thing I have to say is. I am so glad that Oshi No Ko was adapted and that I forced two of my friends to watch the first episode. They are HOOKED now.
The only anime that could compete with kawaisugi crisis this season and im glad I was anime only for this ep 1
Wow you won yourself another subscriber holy shit I am gonna see this
I went into this blind and I regret nothing. haven’t been enthralled by an anime this way since I saw the pilot of AOT.
Happy to see another Arima Kana fan
