Great advice. I am 76 years old and have been playing since I was 10 and saw a school friend playing a Sonny Boy. Had to have one, taught myself to play it and have enjoyed playing ever since
I only know 1 song on harmonica... it's in the key of D... it's called Night Owl Blues by the Lovin' Spoonful... it's a great blues song for harmonica... 🎶🤪
Almost 70.. been playing since I could walk. Love my Hohner Rockets (Special 20 IMPROVED!) Love my Lee Oskars.. My Seidels... But I have a very special love for my Harmo Harmonicas... Major, Minor keys, Paddy Richter & Country tuned. I lost track of the number... But I KNOW each and every one!
Been playing 77 years since I picked up another kids's Hohner Echo and played immediately every song I knew. Keep reaching out to all those budding harmonicats. Mike M
Just started today. Went into the store ready to get a Hohner model but they didn't have them in stock so I got the Lee Oskar by Tombo. Similar in the price range. Started with your train chug and the 5 licks. At 58 and with a musical background the journey is about to begin.😊 I was actually able to do a bend today. Not everytime, but at least I figured it out.
Alright tomlin love your videos I am a beginner of 61 years old I will follow your videos and hope I can play some stuff in the near future. You make it sound so easy I hope I can replicate what you are saying keep well.dan. 👍
Thank you for this. I have lots of entry level diatonic instruments in various keys. Never moved forward with it. I will someday but right now I'm about to start lessons for piano accordion. One member of the reed organ family at a time :)
I'm 46 and have just ordered a set of EastTop diatonic harmonicas. I used to play by ear when I was a child and have since learnt to play the piano, so I'm hoping I have a good advantage as a new learner. I'm hoping to pick it up by ear again even though I need sheet music for the piano.
Just to say from a beginner, I totally agree that the special 20 is very good, I also have an east top which is good, and an Arkia origin which cost 3 times the others did and as a beginner is harder to play. Great video!
Good info, you tube can send you round in circles never learning anything much and wasting time you could be practising. I know I've been doing this for years and I'm still not very good. Just for the record I'm 74
Spec20 is a quality tiny, harp, SoI prefer Lee Osçar's because the holes are larger for my arbuture and the build is robust❤ Do not boil to sterilize!!! Plastic Comb will heat shrink😢
Hi, I want to learn to playing the harmonica whit you, please let me know what’s the step I should take fallows now, thank you for your time and patience 😊
Hello Tomlin, not connected to this subject, however would you kindly have a link to an Amp Speaker & wireless mic with the ability to alter the volume ? I have been having great difficulty in finding. Can you help me please?
I recently took my hohner blues harp apart to clean it but as I was putting it back together I snagged the reeds and it’s just so messed up now I know it can be fixed but I’ve been looking into getting a new one anyway I like blues old folk music and country and like western style cowboy harmonics are they any recommendations you have?

Super cansle, completo e con con lezioni chiare e di evidente competenza. Grande risorsa. Grazie.

Budget friendly harmonica, the East top model 008 Key of C rated very well .
East Top harps are gaining a growing fanbase due to their affordable price along with excellent quality; a very respectable “first harp!”
"The best time to start is today " I am now 70 years old - I thinks it's now about time !
