- Yes thats right my friends. You may have seen this when it was up briefly on my SMTV portal but likely not. So this is another little gift for those of you waiting out this pandemic. This in fact was the last official Survivorman episode I shot a little while ago with my good friend, the incomparable comedian extraordinairre, Bill Engvall. He wanted the real deal so I gave it to him and I ended up producing this episode out of the event. It may find its way to TV soon but in the mean time we all need a smile and some good vibes so here you go.

Les Shroud got me through a rough childhood and now all I want to do is escape in the mountains. This man saves lives.
Biggest thing I have taken away from Survivorman is that when it’s cold, if you sweat you die.

Joe Thompson not true but compared to other shows his Is the most realistic.

its true cause it almost happened to me. I had to strip down to skin in 5 degrees or I would have been hypothermic in 10 mins after chasing a dog sled that was getting away when I stopped to piss and take a bearing.

He ain't dead, he is a survivor. I think his shows are back on CB I think and with some minor re-editing to remove the green screen parts as per Les' instruction. He is also doing new production commentary n UA-cam. That is how I found this.

Survivoman is not only the best survival show but the best show period ! I met Les at a book signing in 2013 which has to get boring for him and he was the nicest guy . Another thing about Les is that he gives you solid survival skills and not this crazy risk your life mess on almost every other survival show. Survivorman will always be my favorite!!!! Thank you so much Les !!!!

Many years ago, a friend and I rode our bicycles from Georgia to California. Now we had our gear with us, so it wasn't strictly a survival situation, but crossing the desert was an experience I'll never forget. Camping out under those skies, seeing rattlesnakes, scorpions, and all manner of deadly creatures, weathering epic thunderstorms, hailstorms, and even a tornado (thankfully somewhat distant) is burned into my memory. This video reminded me of some of the most amazing campsites ever. Since it wasn't a survival situation, we had a backpacking stove, so every night was a hot dinner, and every morning was hot coffee. What Les said about hot beverages is so true. There's no better cup of coffee in the world than one made after waking up in the wilderness.
I forgot how much I missed survivorman. Good to have you back.

Love the show as always! Tell Bill the first rule of Survivorman man is to shoot horizontal so we can enjoy the landscape shots even more!
The cable networks are all such idiots and pieces of crap for not bringing Survivorman back. Everyone that I’ve ever known that has actually watched Survivorman either thoroughly enjoyed the show, or, like myself, loved and obsessed over it. Les, I’m sure you’ll probably never see this, but please know that you have saved more lives than you will ever know; not just with your survival expertise, but also with the spectacular entertainment you’ve provided to some of us who are going through our darkest times. Truly, thank you for everything you do and have done, you are a TRUE legend... and whether it be on TV, UA-cam, or elsewhere, we will continue to watch and support you.

Man.... so glad to see Les back and Bill....who knew....awesome man. Back in 68 and 69 I was in the Marine Corps stationed in Yuma, Az. and at times we would do desert exercises that would last as long as a month. I know how cold it gets in the desert....that's the problem with wash's ...that is where all of the cold goes. Great adventure guys....looking forward to more.
Just love Survivorman Series. Appreciate being able to watch this new episode during stay @ home isolation due to COVID19. Bill Engvall is the best. Know survival is serious but love his humor. So glad his survival challenge went well.👍👍👍

Man! ,Les was the 1st and only one to grab 4 or 5 cameras, and solo head into the bush for a few days and film his experience, good or bad. Next thing you know discovery channel totally oversaturates the market with dual survival, bear grilles, and can't remember the name of the one with Mike Hawk, and his wife, but anyway, none could even compete with Survivorman, Les Stroud. I can literally quote most of the dialog from every episode as I was obsessed with the show so much. I didn't even care if it was reruns, I learned something from every one. Thanks Les, please do more of these.

I have been in that desert many times for many years. I have never in my life been as cold as I have in that desert at night. Snow keeps things around 32 the moisture in the air helps to keep the temperature up. When you have neither and a wind that you can not get out of and it cuts through every layer you have on. Nothing like it.
I was a fan of Les years ago- much like most of you- but I didn’t know he was producing UA-cam content. 👍

Lots of credit to Bill Engvall, most "celebrities" would be crying and wanting their soy latte's about 20 minutes into the bush. It's good to see a competent and overall great guy taking on this kind of challenge, not making an ass of themselves, and proving they got the chops to do it, even if it is just one night. I wonder how many other famous people are capable of doing this with the degree of seriousness, maturity, and yet have a sense of humor about things like Bill Engvall showed. Perhaps Jeff Foxworthy and Cletus T Judd might make it, I'm sure Crazy Uncle Ted Nugent could make it, but who else? Great episode, and glad to see another Survivorman episode!
