World-class acoustics give this an Experience Never to Be Missed. Oh, I wish I had been there. I was at The Kennedy Center in 1978 to hear the Paul Hill Chorale sing Copland's "The Promise of Living" .... it brought tears to many of us in the audience.
+Liz Holmes Either I was asleep when I posted that, or the video title was changed after I posted it. Either way, no, I wasn't aware that the Kings Singers were involved (are you sure they are? Many youtube vids of this song mistakenly attribute it to KS which may be what the title refers to). I have never liked KS arrangements of You are the New Day nearly as much as the simple heartfelt version on the Airwaves New Day album (I have an original vinyl copy from when I worked in a record store and got a preview copy). The thing I diskike the most is the way the KS moved the "You are the New Day" chorus to the beginning instead of just at the end like the Airwaves version. It has far more emotional impact when saved for the end and just feels hokey at the beginning. That said, the KS version is better than no version, but give me Airwaves any day.

I didn't think this could be more beautiful than the King's Singers alone. I am quite happy to say I'm wrong.
Beautifully done. Thank you all.
Glorious! I always loved the Airwaves version, but this expands on it. Thanks for posting.
Stunningly beautiful...ethereal.

Wow! So beautiful. Thank you!
Magnificent, moving.

I never thought I'd hear a version that equaled the original Airwaves one, but I've been proven wrong. Glorious... take that Kings Singers!
+Martin Green You know that /is/ the Kings Singers singing with them, right?

Looovely
Bravo, Gentlemen ! 🎶
And this brings me back to Libera why?
Dat het nog nooit iemand is opgevallen dat deze opname niet in Leeuwarden, maar in Groningen is gemaakt.
A beautiful song. I did feel that the tempo was a bit slow and that the chorus sometimes over-powered the KS. Otherwise, very good.
