  • I hope this video picks up enough of the clatter to help diagnose the possible cause. It's especially noticeable when decelerating, as when the truck pulls out in front at about 0:43. (The bouncing camera at the end is from shooting with one hand while reaching for the ignition switch with the other.)

    Could be a wrist pin indeed. Only one way to find out: open up the motor. I hope you will keep us updated on the status!

    looks like that long trip may have put excessive wear on the motor.

    Wrist pin?? Sounds upper end. Had Model A that type of noise, was number three pin.

      Sin ce the pin floats in the piston on a T, could be a cracked piston. Loose timing gear in an A can sound similar. Just thoughts.

      @@unclesuperstar Yes I had to replace a timing gear in my Model A with a similar noise.
