This is the way Tony thinks... Let's say Tony signs a big talent, like I don't know, Seth Rollins. He will have Seth show up as a surprise at the end of a Dynamite show in the crowd and have a "face off" with Swerve and have this holy shit moment obviously setting up a title fight. He will have the title match the very next week and set up absolutely no story at all. He is so god damn impatient and needs instant gratification. He's all about the moment instead of the long term storyline. Every single damn thing he does is about getting a one time pop. There are no stories, no rivalries.

Just want to say that back in the late 90s I was one of those internet fans who blamed Eric for the end of WCW. While I don't feel he is blameless in that, I have spent enough time working in the planning section of a real life corporation that I completely understand how it can't all be his fault. Also, I loved the midcard talent like Benoit, Eddy, Booker, the Cruiserweights. I now get why they were not on top and probably shouldn't have been. I'm becoming a fan of Eric because he's pretty honest about a lot of what is going on now (and what happened then). Keep up the great work guys!

They give the world title shot to Okada. Jarrett wrestles Perry at Wembley and wins the TNT title. Then Jeff wrestles the AEW World champ on Dynamite and loses after a great match.
Completely agree with Eric here. Any match i watch in aew seems to just be random mad spots to impress everyone with zero emotional or interesting story. I struggle to get into it or care about the matches. Not like the old days where the whole match was about telling a story, didn't need high flying or mad spots every 30 seconds. Older wrestlers like Jarret could still wrestle and put on a more interesting match.
AEW needs somebody to keep Tony in check. I don’t have the talent. A lot of us think we do but we don’t. Somebody needs to step in and fix it but will Tony let them.
I would want the AEW fans to chant something like "We want Jeff" to see if Tony and the people in the back would listen and for what Conrad said for Jeff to win the tournament and hold the cup with Owen's family and his at the top of the stage.

Thank you Eric, I agree the drawing out of emotion from the crowd through the physical and presented story is the very essence of professional wrestling entertainment television. The lack of creativity in storytelling is somehow seemingly overcompensated in the over exaggerated over creative wrestling moves. How about a better story with a more basic set of power bombs 💣 and suplexes… something tells me that would be far superior to the acrobatic things that these performers perform with a lacking story element.

Thank you Eric, I agree the drawing out of emotion from the crowd through the physical and presented story is the very essence of professional wrestling entertainment television. The lack of creativity in storytelling is somehow seemingly overcompensated in the over exaggerated over creative wrestling moves. How about a better story with a more basic set of power bombs 💣 and suplexes… something tells me that would be far superior to the acrobatic things that these performers perform with a lacking story element.

Once you seen one AEW match you’ve pretty much seen them all. Nonsensical flippety flop gymnastics, god awful fake looking kicks, multiple idiotic near pin kick outs, piss poor selling, cringe crowd chants, phony no sell back and fourth style forearm strikes, and boring matches that go way too long with little to no psychology at all. Straight up trash 🚮 🗑️.
