    Just started playing with my brand new oxides, and this video is super helpful! I made sure to save it to my mixed media how-tos list because I am SURE I will be referring back. THANKS!

      Melanie, it took two days for the booklet, I confess, it's been a nightmare, hard to explain in a video, sorry :-)

    I really liked this video! Can't wait to try it. I have a question though. How did the text show through on the book page after having white gesso applied? When I apply gesso nothing underneath shows through. The book page is my favorite!

      Hello Melissa thank you! What kind of gesso do you use? As long as you use a small quantity of it you are always able to see the text through. So, try to put a thin layer of gesso with a paintbrush, spreading it very well...hope it helps :-)

      I cut the cardstocks made during the video to size, and I made the folds using only washi tape

    I think you should mention you put salt on a few of these bc some ppl might not know.

    • @giogiocraft
      @giogiocraft  7 років тому +3

      Hello Kwantwell, I didn't use any salt, this is the magic of these inks, they reacted like that
      with just water from tap :-)

    As a beginning to all this, you’re doing everything to fast for me to follow, and have no idea what you’re actually doing....

    • @giogiocraft
      @giogiocraft  5 років тому +3

      Hello Tess sorry to hear that, you can set the video speed to a lower one, maybe It Is better. In any case I am here to help 😊

    Your videos are great but way too fast.. doesn't give you a chance to read between the examples..

    • @giogiocraft
      @giogiocraft  6 років тому

      Thank you, and I apologize for being too fast. You can watch the video slower using the UA-cam settings, the little gear on the right corner . Hope it helps

    I was hoping there would be different techniques but it's pretty much the same technique just using different materials... Kinda disappointed thought there would be different WAYS using the oxides
