Love the drone shots. Somebody clearly knows what they're doing. Great work. Great cruiser for someone to finish. And she does a 2-wheel peel. Be safe and stay well
"If you drive normal you won't throw the belt"... I find it hard to believe Brent that with an LS motor and a 9 inch Ford anyone has plans on driving it normal!😎
I love the LS swap especially if it is a truly daily driver not a car show only car. It's an ugly engine but all modern engines are. You're absolutely correct on the drive shaft shortening. Great site.
This old Chevrolet needs to be a Tri-Five Nationals ant Bowling Green Kentucky next year. Great Build loved every minute and like the looks of an old mans car with the sound of excitement. A+++++
Brent, you are the MAN! I've learned so much from watching your videos, I hope I get a chance to put a lot of what you showed me to practical application. I'm getting older and keep telling myself that the car I'm building now ( a 1935 Studebaker coupe ) will be the last one I do.
I'm a Self Taught Mechanic Bodyman Fabricator etc... Been in the Industry for Over 40yrs... You Really Make these LS conversions looks too easy. I Love it!. Thanks for Sharing... Brother
I love watching you say old man putting them up back on the road that's where they belong they belong running not resting Love video brother your friend and biggest fan NORTH GEORGIA MIKE 🇺🇸🇨🇦
Haha, finally, that burnout at the end! Was about to complain we didn't get to really hear it on the drive but I know you don't really want to push on it without a seat back!
By far my favorite build !!!! Have watched the whole series several times lol . Great work Brent Godspeed Just watched again lol ! Funny the things you notice watching something over but looks like someone was in the background working on a magnetic pickup take
Never could figure out if I liked the 55 or 56 front end. I owned a 57 convertable once. But that's a nice ride. Every day special with that running gear. Nice. Well done.
Brent is hard worker a jack of all trades, it doesn't take much to injury your back, you need a young apprentice or friends to help you lift heavy items. Thanks for passing on your knowledge thur your experience.
Brent your filming is awesome & I appreciate the editing and cool shots of a moving car. Besides the build , you do an all around complex build that is awesome …Bad Chad , needs to look in ! Cheers Brent & hoping all is happy with u and family - Alberta Dave
That's a pretty slick trick installing those universal bearing caps, you made that look easy. Funny thing, I hate to admit.., I have all the C-clamps, impact guns and still used a bench vise, hammer and socket lol . Thanks for the tip. I also like how you factored in an inch of slip yoke end play going into the transmission before shortening the tube, that's as good as it gets👍👍 Good job brother.
I really like that old girl. Sorry to see her go, but happy for the bloke who gets to drive her. I love her color and all four of her doors. Thanks for bringing us all the 56 series man. Cheers!
love your work...watch all your videos, nothing seams hard for you...credit to you man...would love to hang out at your place with you, so many toys to work on lol...stay well greetings from Australia...
The 56 Chevy is a great looking car, even as a 4 door sedan. I have to spend a lot longer than you to get a project up and running. I like to watch you work, though. All the best. Mart in the UK.
She sits like she's got a trunk load of shine. I was surprised by the cherry bombs. They don't seem to have that deep rumble I was expecting. Probably because they are so skinny. Just 2/3rds the diameter of the originals. The posi seems to hook up well. Thanks for posting.
Such a great job. Your so even keel working on them. I try to be the same. My gf asked if i ever get mad working on vehicles. I tell her they are just bolts and nuts. They cant get mad. They dont know any better😂😂
every damn car you touch looks like crap but by golly it runs nice and is not falling part any time soon. You are so creative in the whole process and get it right, the ride, the stance, the sound and the look every car is different but your stamp on it is it just works well, Great project. Loving the drone shot. I watched it right after lunch and dozed off on the right back to the shop. Then I woke up to screeching tires and there you were burning the tires off in the shop I just laughed and wished I was there with you, Keep 'er going Great Stuff.
Excellent work Halfass Kustoms ( Brent) :) also not first time seen a tire for seat check out test drive and seen steal pail with pillow together Lol and was funny for sure !
Back in the 70s my high school days I bought me a 1956 2 door hard top had a 283 original engine enjoy it all my school years, and only paid 500.oo dollars. You probably will spend more just on that rear end and u-Bolts!
Thanks for another great project inspirational even though it’s still difficult to get of my butt! Great work certainly a cut above the average. The burn was great test for rear end and it held out!
All of my old car loving buddies have kicked the bucket . I'm still playing with my old cars at age 69 . Love watching you and still learning things

Is it weird to say I can smell this? all of it. the garage, the rust, the paint... sooooooo good.

man i never get tired of watching you do your magic i love those tri fives
Back in 65, my first car was a 56 Belair w/a power pack engine. it was pristine with 45K miles on her.... Great memories...
Russ
Well that's going to be a sweet old kicking around cruiser when they get off the old tire.
Like the original spiral shocks and shock stone guards.Great build Brent
You have so many project going on at the same time nice to see you get one done

That is going to be a nice reliable summer car for someone that gets decent gas mileage. I like how you keep these builds simple. Kudos Brent!!!

haha without a seat in general
Great video Drive it like you stole it !
So I guess I'm going to be that guy. LS motors don't have thermostats? I've never messed with them. I had no clue. Learn something new every day.
yeah there just on the lower rad hose in the housing where the heater hoses connect to.
NICE !!!
Looks cool rolling down the road. Just a touch of Ford DNA in the back. 😎👍🇨🇦
That is one nice car now. Love to see the old cars with new running gear. Good job Brent. 👍😄👉🇺🇸🇨🇦
I enjoy your work!
It’s amazing how fast you get projects done👍🏻🇦🇺
@@jamesedmonds1350 proably got more done in a day then you have in a lifetime...

That’s good LS radiator tech right there, Vern! Everyone should use the fill through upper hose technique 👍🏼👍🏼
Master level skills , shop is better equipped than most dealer depot level maint. shops . 👍

Nice one, getting there 👍
So cool it's been saved and we'll impressed with the work
👍🏻Another one out the door and on the road, nice job!!!!
Summit has "Builder Kits" for exhaust systems 22.5 , 45, 90, 180 pre bent pipes, cut and weld for those custom needs
Burnout at the end. Priceless.
Love the Tri-5 cars. Iʻd love to do one for my wife, but a 4 door Gasser/Grocery Getter, Straight front axle...
Your 56 is killer!!!
Awesome! Now send it to Dan at DD Speed shop and let him convert it to a 2 door! 😊✌🏻🇺🇸🇨🇦
Brent is quite capable of converting anything into what he wants.
Obviously you're new to the channel.
@@allan9603 I'm aware of his capabilities was just saying! You don't know how long I've been here obviously your newer than I am!
@@Carl09of09 obviously Brent is done, and it's still a 4 door.
So end of subject.
Until the next time, later🕺👌👍🍻🇺🇸🇸🇪

Enjoyed the 56 engine swap, and upgrade. Another great series.👍
Looking forward to the next project you come up with.
Many options on mounting a trans cooler, on each side of radiator, race cars use behind the transmission also available along the frame rails.
this is a really nice built car! cant wait to see it all finished! 👌
Good episode, thanks
Your lathe has payed for itself in driveshafts alone ! Thanks Brent , love your videos

when I had the car on jack stands I put a spare slip yoke in the trans an inch out then measured for my driveshaft from cap to cap.
@@HalfassKustoms ahhhhh good thinking!!!!
And yes it did sound good when you started it up
From the uk you are very skilled,my yard looks the same as yours keep up the great work sir
sweet ride. I would used a lawn chair or one for the beach for more comfort. LOL
Way Too Cool! Yeah the drone shots are great.
Man is there anything you can’t do on a car or truck. Love your videos

That was pretty neat..... so i’m gonna give this one a HELL YEAH!!!!😂🤣
Keep the 4dr, just drop it some and fab some rear skirts. Cool that these 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 engines are living on in custom builds!
kill the 4 door,2 door swap it for little effort and it looses all that ugly
Great to see another trifive back on the road!
It sure warms ones soul that you guys are preserving history.
Another nicely done and informative video. You make difficult fabrication look easy and I know it isn't - thanks for sharing!
Brent love this build, the driveshaft work is very entertaining :-)!
That 56 is sweet!
Minty...👌...

Friends don't discriminate against 4dr sedans , 56 57 had the popular 4dr Sport Sedan
That's the ending I was hoping for !!!! Nice build !!👍👍
the engine runs great....you did well there.
Darn but the music in this one is great. Glad you are happy with the 56 engine swap.
Love the Glass Packs! Does not get any more 1956 than that!
And old car get a new life .
Nice way to both save and enjoy this thing. Just looking at it is relaxing. The best of what we've lost and gained.
A fine cruiser just as it is. Time for a rolling party.
keep the great work man
Once again another great job, keep up the great work and God Bless
I must admit I like the shoebox models with the Double Nickel being my favorite ! There’s just way to many doors on that one ! Lol
Thank you for keeping me motivated! Do something every day!
If there was 24 hours in a day Brent you would be working every hour of the day. Nice Drone footage 👍. Have a great weekend 😀.
Great job on the 56👍👍👍👍
