Other then the obviously cracked genei-jin combos, its really impressive how KO (and other top level Yun players back then and today) is so menacing on screen with Yun, and yet so slippery at the same time . The super jumps, the near constant dropkicks at different ranges and directions, its impressive how anyone can play through that. You corner him, he's out of it immediately, he pops genei-jin, he's on you almonst instantly with a SJ. Impressive, Yun is top 2 or top 1 in this game but he is not easy to pilot.
I mean the combos and pressure aren’t nearly as well optimized as they would be today but it’s impressive they were doing this back in 2004 or 2003 I don’t remember
Evo, suggestion for the next tournaments? Is it possible to gather more match vids from the crowd's perspective like this? Nothing against commentary AT ALL, but I realize now, the ambiance of seeing this and imagining yourself among the crowd is hype! I'd love to see how the crowd views the matches this year.
People often always check talk bout EVO Moment #37 but the Grand Finals is too often overlooked. Both players out played each other and the ending will without a doubt continue to be a jaw dropper 😮
@@FRISSONhandleDaigo didn't see the timer, it's a VHS tape timestamp - this entire match was most likely captured on a camcorder as EVO wasn't nearly as big and capture devices were possibly a novelty back then
In my humble opinion "Street Fighter 3rd Strike"is the only Fighter that needs a Remaster Version for the mondern age. If they the Developers can manage to keep everything the same yet update the graphics and/or framedata/ Bugs. This Game would stand the test of time...

Idk man, the camera footage is pretty crisp for the time it was recorded in, if you don't see some good ass 3rd Strike on the screen then that's a problem I'd suggest checking out on your side
Are you joking? The quality is crisp as fuck for 2003 and the only way someone wouldn't be able to tell what was going on is if they're a 3rd Strike noob
THIRD STRIKE FOR LIFE!
I like the crowd interacton, combos were saucier.
Old Tougeki was like that. So hype to hear the crowd chant along.

So glad i get to rewatch these in their highest quality 🙏
This is honestly really good compared to some tapes from that era.
this is the greatest 3s match of all time
1:04 ay ay ay ay ay
Love when the crowd does those
Funny how even though Daigo hates this game he plays it pretty well. KO's Yun is nuts too. 3S has come a long way.
Goated.

YUN IS SUCH AN AWESOME CHARACTER. I LOVE HOW EVERYONE GOT INTO THE EY EY EY EY EY !!! DUDE YUN IS MINT!!!!
Hard to explain but quick and seamless moves are very Daigo-ish.. ))
Surely this was uploaded in response to the conversation that was on Twitter this week.(that people only remember Evo moment 37)

Can't wait to watch tournament in EVO 2024
One of the craziest things Capcom could do now is to relaunch SF3 running natively in 9th gen consoles! 😂🤤 That would be a banger!!
I wonder what time this match happened…?
Good question? and I don't understand how Daigo can see his gauge with that weird timer at the bottom of the screen

whoops another bad joke. im not really good at these
