I think Freewell have all but nailed this design although the proof is in actually using it which I think i’ll be doing after watching your video. This is an excellent presentation, Freewell will be very happy and quite rightly. 👏
I feel the same way sometimes. My problem is I have the 15 Pro Max and intend on keeping it a few years. And that seems like it would be ok to get a specific cage for it. But if I get a different phone sooner then I have to buy a new cage. I'm still looking but I cannot find a universal cage I like. Beast Grip has one but it looks bulky and clunky. Small Rig has one with a MagSafe quick connect but the reviews say it doesn't hold all that well. So the search continues. What cage do you use?
@@ToddDuvall I don’t. I’m still using a plain old iPhone 13. I find this whole niche to be compelling. For my use case case, dedicated camera offers me diminishing returns given the added cost and bulk. With that said the idea of investing into a system of accessories that becomes obsolete when I upgrade my phone seems similarly wasteful.
to anable the shutter button on the rig try to enable "use volume button to trigger Record" in camera setting. For my hohem m6 gimbal works in this way.
Sorry, but I looked in on freewell site and saw that the mount was detachable with 2 tiny screws. So, if you remove that, that may clear my iphone 15 lenses. If this assumption is correct, would I still be able to put a nd filter or/and an anamorphic lens on the rig? Thank you, Frans

@@Stone1108 Thank you so much for the great feedback! Yes it’s brilliant. Very versatile.
I think I would prefer a universal cage to a phone-specific case, but all the other features look impressive.

That's excellent. Another one for the shopping list!
Thanks! Yeah it really impressed me. It’s a fantastic rig for sure!
This looks like an amazing piece of equipment! Great review thank you
Thank you. Yes it’s the first Freewell accessory I have used and it’s a really impressive piece of kit for sure!

Good to know. Thanks.

You could probably still use a filter but not sure about a lens as the cage may block it. Definitely drop Freewell an email though. They are great!
It's helps as a UA-camr, especially when filming using smartphones
Definitely!
wait so you can switch out the lens adapter?! I thought Freewell was strict with only using there lenses! Game changer!
Yeah. It’s pretty cool. All details are on their website.
What about the iphone 15 (non pro) ? Useable ? Thanks, Frans
Unfortunately it’s only available for the Pro models.
very essential a products
