Long story short, I used to have a 1JZ cressida I swapped myself that was a nightmare to work on but fun to drive. Sold it, fast forward I got the chance to do car shopping again and was thinking of importing JDM, instead went with a 428i gran coupe. Videos like thee always make me rethink my 428 decision lol. I love JDM, but waiting on parts when things go wrong is annoying and for me not worth it Heading to japan in two days and renting an R34 GT-T. I'm excited
Life is too short and I love the sound of a straight 6 RB engine as well as driving a R34 Skyline daily, rich owners of R34 GTR always buy them to be stored in a garage without letting them see the light of day. A R34 GTT is perfect to be enjoyed everyday.

Great video thanks. The rust is a little concern to see . I have a GTT Bayside tiptronic since new. Nice car. Just hit 22K km. Getting rare now in NZ. Good to see USA citizens enjoying these cars now too. We are spoilt in NZ & AU with cars.
Agree but I’m finding that now I’m having to buy oem parts from the states with a rare Nissan and US dollar tax on them. The Us has bought all the available oem parts they can

the r34 gtr actually is not a homologation, the n1 r34 is the only homologated r34, but the n1 racing is just a small racing league, the r33 had n1 homologation and 1 le mans homologation that nobody will ever have, the crown jewel of gtr homologation is the r32 nismo, because the race cars that dominated japan was actually r32 nismo it's the real race car the real Godzilla, the jgtc r34 wasn't even all wheel drive, so the gtt is good good car but we're at the point of our life that people paying for badges rather than the car, which is sad.
comparing a gtt to a celica is insane. Its closer to a turbo vs non turbo supras, 300zx, ect... its not much different from a gtr at all, its the same base platform.
If you really want a GT-R, then look at the R33s. That's what I did and got a pretty good deal with lower miles, very few mods, and service records since new. I will pick it up later this week and then I am planning a Mt. Fuji road trip weekend this fall. If you really have to have the R34 body, then you are going to pay a premium. I like the R33 front end better than the R34, but the side and rear of the R34 are hard to beat.

I just recently got a R34 25GT-V with 29k km, but after a few months I'm debating if I should've just got a turbo model..

r32 never had a 2.5l turbo chief, that was the r33. r32 did have a naturally aspirated 2.5 though

Agreed. I driven Silvia’s and celica, and although the GTR is a different car compared to the gtt, GTT are still a class above Silvia’s, celica etc
