      Going inside the embassy….that’s like 1950s social piece……not a thread of journalism.

    Good interview - she is very accomplished and her experience with Russia doesn’t seem to say that Putin is going to back off any time soon. Beautiful gardens though to brighten up the mood.

      And yet her parents; instead of staying in Kyiv; decided to join an apartheid state that's still killing people to this day. Was she better or worse than the current bozos that are running the show in Israel? Was she ever for "any" solution? I don't care that much to look her up to be honest.

    Oh, Jen. "Coronated?"

    • @marksnow7569
      @marksnow7569 Рік тому

      Yes. Coronate is given in Henry Cockeram's _English Dictionarie_ (enlarged editions, 1626 onward) as a classy alternative to the verb Crown

      @@Dan-vo7vc What's wrong about it? It's certainly not common, but Jen was using it the way it was meant to be used.

    • @Dan-vo7vc
      @Dan-vo7vc Рік тому +1

      @Mark Snow I think she's back-forming a word that is exclusively used in biology today from "coronation," not trying to be more formal. "Crowned" is the correct word. NYT has the most formal style of all American papers, and I promise they will not write "Charles Coronated." It's bizarre.

    Excellent interview, I really enjoyed it. As an American, Jen Psaki's extremely nasal accent grates on my nerves. Please, MSNBC, get Jen some elocution lessons, to help her not speak through her nose. Also, she needs to stop saying "fir" for "for", and she needs to learn how to address people politely and correctly. She should have addressed her interview subject as "Madame Ambassador", not simply "Ambassador". The subject matter of Jen's interview was good, she simply needs her rough edges polished. (She also needs to stop waving her hands around so much when she talks).

    Ambassadorships for large important countries like France, UK, Spain, Italy, China, Japan and others are not held by every day joes. The usual people chosen are rich and donors...one can dream to be an ambassador but one also needs money.

      Quite wrong. The US is practically the only country where party donors can be ambassadors. Other countries have trained diplomats selected from their Diplomatic Services to become their respective ambassadors. An actual and credible way to do diplomacy.

    There is a difference between liquidity and solvency . To remain liquid solvency is further undermined and that's what's happening through the whole system and thats a big part of the deindustrilization thats occured based on the move away from banking regulation. The war in Ukraine and threat of a war against China are driven by this financial crisis because the casino economy in the West has been underwritten by looting of the global south moving industry there ....outsourcing to get cheap labor ...the literal theft of global raw materials by the global raw material cartels . The enforcement by IMF credit policy which prevents investment in real economy in return for draconian debt payment a death trap ...this is what IMF has been doing since the mid 1970s ...now being rejected by the nations of the Global South which are looking to a new development architecture ....During the period from 1981-87 more than 1000 saving loans were shut down over half ...$160 billion dollars minimum in tax payer funding to shut down the SNLs ...and with Michael Milken and the junk bond operation the whole shift in the economy was pushed ahead away from physical economic production into speculation ..the idea that you can make more money buying and selling paper and exotic instruments as opposed to investing into research and development new plant and equipment worker training the basis of the American economic growth the WW2 into the the late 60s .....all that was overturned and the repeal of Glass Steagall finalized that process....as we continue seeing this unfold there's a continued fall out in Europe from the collapse of credit Suisse which went under on March 19th and the shot gun marriage with UBS creating one of the biggest derivative giants in the World. Can enough liquidity be generated to save these banks without triggering runaway inflation ?
