As a native American My father ( world war two) was what is known as a 'brown shoe,', the army air corp) and my oldest brother gave his service for forty years ( also Air Force) who just passed this last year and buried in Fort Gibson National Military Cemetery ( in Oklahoma )with high honors . It's something that we ( my family) take as an honor to serve the constitution and democracy of the United States of America.

I said yesterday on a post that I would sooner vote for Donald Duck than Donald Dump. Mr. Duck is not a real person but that in no way prohibits him from possessing far greater integrity than the king magaT himself or the rest of that unprocessed trash.
To those republican voters that still have the capacity to vote for someone other than Trump, I wholeheartedly encourage you to vote for Biden this time around. If things go well, you won't have to take this extraordinary step again. Applying this democratic voting to the rest of election races where magaT candidates (just magaT ones, not all republicans) are in the running, it really is the best thing to do for the republican party. The sooner empowered magaTs are flushed out and new magaTs prevented from coming into office, the better the republican party will be!

Supposedly the US flag should never be flow upside down EXCEPT to "signal dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property."
That is exactly why I put a upside down flag on my car in 2020 after trump murdered millions of Americans with his Covid lies and republicans were dividing this country with anti mask rhetoric, actually causing people to be assaulted in grocery stores.

A situation of that dire magnitude is the only reason as to why the US flag should be flown inverted. And with today's social media opportunities available to the vast majority of Americans, the need for such an SOS call is even further remote.
From what I've learned about the junkyard dog-like behaviour of Alito's wife, it wouldn't surprise me that it was her idea and she who hoisted the inverted flag back in 2021. Similarly it's no surprise that Alito would hide behind her regardless of what the truth was.
Flying the flag upside down is both disrespectful is against US Code. It's against the law in D.C.
Kaepernick kneeling for the anthem was a result of a military vet telling him it was a more respectable protest than just sitting.

FOX did violate one flag etiquette in that video. No other flag in US territory should be flown equal to that of the US flag. Always below, never equal or higher.

As a Marine the only issue I have with the flag flying outside of Fox news is the height that flag flies. The American flag is always supposed to fly higher, I can't see that difference from your picture Lawrence. Can you please verify that that is the case? Thanks for your commentary all this time.

Also they aren't even saying it as it was originally written. The "under god" part was never in the original Pledge of Allegiance. That was added sometime in the 1950's. And it should not have been changed. Religion has no business in Government or the Public Education System (and children are forced to say this pledge of allegiance every morning in schools.

I remember that - every morning. At some point in junior high (early 80's) I became aware. I stood and placed my hand over my heart to respect the intent, but I never said those words again. Just like the flag. Since false "patriots" have co-opted it, I will not fly a flag or wear a flag pin. I'll keep my reverence of the flag and what it REALLY means to myself, until the arc bends back towards justice.
