This was an extremely informative lesson on skin tone. Not only did you show how to mix virtually any skin color from the primaries, but you also went into detail about skin texture and how it will affect the choice of pigments. Thank you for another great video!

Hi. Funny coincidence, I have just today experimented a bit with skintones. Used a mix of raw sienna, magenta and cerelean blue. Liked the result.
Now I will have a look at your tips (started writing this at the beginning of the vid).
Also joined your facebook group today, being a long time follower of your youtube channel thought it was about time.

Well this is definitely a great help for me to learn how to mix up colors for skin tones. I need to take some practice time to mix skin tones. I have been using Titanium Buff & adding some Lemon Yellow, Quinacrine Rose, Burt Sienna, depending on the the skin tones I am looking for.

Skin tone is such a huge subject! As soon as I think about it, my head explodes. Of course there’s also glazing, charging techniques, and level of opacity that drive the subject even deeper.. and let’s not forget the power environment has over hues, which could change a skin tone drastically… phew, such a challenging topic to cover 😖

Correct skin tones are always darker than you think you need! I think it's because there's no other values around it. Once you put in clothes, hair, background, the skin might even need darkening.
