    Looks very nice, is it also possible, to times-tretch pad-sounds (sounds without or with unclear transients)? or is it only working with beats, where blackbox is able to identify bpm?

    • @1010music
      @1010music  3 роки тому

      The blackbox can autodetect the beat count. You can also set it.

    Clip Mode would be much more useful with assignable Start and Stop/Loop points per clip/sample!

      Get the loop you want as a clip set up first as a looped sample using Toggle mode. Once you have the loop points set correctly, use the trim feature to extract what you need and now you have a perfect clip without the need for loop start/stop.

      Matt -- so, Sample Mode / Toggle is where one can trim the sample to "appropriate size" and then it can be switched to Clip Mode (which does not have resizing capabilities, if I understand correctly)? Thanks for any help you can provide!

    Just opened my black box and loved it right out of the box. my only question so far is what is the best way to pwer down? Main volume down and unplug usb?

      Blown away by this little box! I was thinking of selling my ableton license before and this has sealed the deal. Addresses all the weird workflow issues I had with a daw.

    I got this box yesterday and love it already.. it's so intuitive and easy to just get going!
    One question: how can I change the start and end points of a clip? Or does it need to be perfect size before loading it in?

    • @1010music
      @1010music  3 роки тому +2

      blackbox needs to start with clips that are already an appropriate length.

    • @DuckForPope
      @DuckForPope 3 роки тому +1

      @@1010music it's cool, I realised I can resize it and save the changes before I make it a clip. Seems to be a fine work around for me 👍

      @@1010music Can you elaborate on this a bit. How would one use the BB to make a clip that is the appropriate length? And by appropriate length do you mean bars / measures? I see the OP knows what you mean by this answer, but I'd be grateful for a bit more help...thanks!

    If the clip has a straight groove, will a swung clock introduce swing? Or is it time-stretched to the straight tempo?

    • @1010music

      Clips are stretched to the straight tempo

    what would you say are the best settings for playing back stems made in a daw?

    • @1010music
      @1010music  3 роки тому +2

      There is no single correct answer. You can load them as longer audio files and sync them as Clips. OR break them into smaller sections and sequence the sections. Or slice into sections....or all of the above!

    What about clip loops in a odd time signature? like 7/8...possible?

    • @1010music
      @1010music  4 роки тому +3

      Currently, not easily. The sequencer functions on syncing clips that are a power of 2. This would be a great suggestion for the wish list thread our forum.

    Clip is great. They do need a bounce clip to wav option as clip is useless when exporting to daw.

      How do you see this working differently from resampling? Just not in real-time?

      @@1010music don't think I can resample it on the same pad. It gets messy trying to find other empty slots/pads to resample to when exporting (as at that stage all pads are taken)
