- This scanner has a ton of features and output for its low price. The pan and tilt is extremely fast for high-energy effects.
There are a few reasons why this product is less than half the cost of the Spot 360 with most of the same features.
1. Cheaper construction (the housings, DMX ports)
2. Scanners are generally cheaper than moving heads
3. Less features (only one prism vs. two on the Spot 360)
4. The prism only uses one motor to move into the optical path and rotate (the Spot 360 uses two motors, one to move it in and out and another to rotate the prism)
When a rotating prism system uses only one motor, it saves on cost and space, but it generally takes longer for the prism to move in and begin rotating and the prism can only rotate in one direction.
Thank you for watching!

The intimidator scan 360 takes things to e whole new level
I have 2 chauvet dj scanners as well it’s the intimidator scan 110s I love them a lot and I might consider getting 2 chauvet intimidator spot 110s for finishing touch on my light rig
guys do you know if there is a road case for these. A regular or vinyl case won't protect scans...learned from experience.
Tilt angle 39 degrees is very poor. Beams wont hit the floor?
The tilt angle is more than that. This light can easily hit the floor right below it.
What's your opinion on these, Ive ordered 4 but seen the tilt is rubbish so you don't get full coverage of the wall and floor?
@@croissantproductions so why does it say 39 degrees on the website which the previous version were 90 degrees?
@@richardc1983 The tilt is actually about 90° which is normal for a scanner. These cover a large area with the wide beam angle
@@richardc1983 Honestly I have no idea why it says 39°.
Is there a lens on the main light aperture cause when you showed the prisim it looked like it was open air
Nope, there’s just a hole in the metal there
@@croissantproductions ohhhhh ok
