I love these. I would definitely purchase 4 of these if I had the means. I have always been more interested in the lightshow than the music. The music us always awesome. The Oz and Parade Disc come to mind they are located in New Orleans. They used Intellibeam the HUGE ONES and I could never imagine the operation costs of those super bright lights
These sure were awesome functionality wise and they produced some awesome shows!

It's one of the best!
I've read that they are more difficult to clean (they collect spots and debris in the visuals) and the gobos are more difficult to replace. Would you take these over the new Intimidator 375X models?@@DJDarylBennett
I own 8 of these. I had 6 of the Chauvet Professional Legend beam fixtures and got 8 of the 140SR movers and I haven't looked back. They been my centerpiece for my events and have never let me down. I get all three options in this little powerhouse AND I get CW, WW and UV? Man come on...NO BRAINER...
They truly are an awesome light
I own many moving heads, from little Blizzard Switchblades to Varilite VL3500's, and it is my opinion the SR140's are hands down the best, most versatile moving head you can get under $2000.
I really like them, especially if portability is not of concern
My good friend who does lighting in a NC theater...kinda loves and hates these, lol!
These definitely have some quirks and awesome functionality

Is there a way to get the 140SR Hybrid to switch the colors without going through all the ones in between on the color wheel? (I'm Using Sound Switch if that has an option for it or if its on the fixture? )
The special function in Attribute cues, value 32 "Blackout on color wheel movement"

Do not and I repeat do not aim those at something 7ft away you will cause a fire. When a friend of mine first got these. We had them hanging from a truss. Before we raised the truss wanted to test them. They were 7ft from the carpeted platform and the carpet started smoking.
Also if these wouldn’t have jumped from $1500 Canadian to $3000 I would have bought 6 of them.

for the band / stage, your performers were in the dark... you need a spot for the lead and solos, and foot / overhead to wash the stage at the min.
That require a lot more infrastructure than just two t bars on the corners. Which isn’t always possible with mobile gigs. That said I debated using 8 pars instead of 4 and it probably woulda been beneficial
way too much all you paying is for the brand ... i had a similar light from bottom to top just different brand for 450 no issues .. ever since

Thanks for sharing your experience! I just tested a hybrid from another brand and while it had similar features, the Chauvet was noticeable better quality. For instance the minimum beam angle on the Chauvet is 3 while the other one was 10. I'd love to know which one you tried.
