Great video again. We are proceeding at same phase. My Dextas engine also in suprisingly good shape. Never opened, over 8000 hours at least (meter broken)... Cam is almost as new, no wear at all. Crank also nice, maybe polishing will be enough. One piston had broken rings and ond valve realy loose. Those I suppose were the reason for oil soitting from exhaust. Hadnt measure the sylinders, they seems quite worn. Over all, good time to make complete overhaul. Waiting and looking Your videos for guidance and tips. Br, Juha from Finland
Hi thank you for your message glad to hear that your engine is not too bad. I will try and do a video on all the measurements regarding this engine. Thanks again for watching.
aah thats great stuff! thanks Kev its so hard to see and figure out when the motor is in its home, so Daunting to pull down even though it needs to be done. thaanks for making these videos and explaining all along the way. Legend !
Thank you. The bottom of the sump was quite clean the worst of it was in the sump strainer so it was doing its job. Also the camshaft is in great condition for its age I was very surprised.
I’m amazed that the engine is in such good condition considering its age and never been apart now wondering if the damage to that piston was there when the engine was originally built in the factory?
Hi thank you for your message if you google Emmark uk Ltd they post all over the world also I do know they send parts to Mexico so there may be a supplier you can get the parts from.
Refreshing to see someone actually using spanners and sockets to pull it apart rather than a bloody impact wrench. Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you I know I see a lot of that now on different channels. Thanks for your support.
Happy New Year 🚜🍺🍻🍺🥃🥳

It’s very possible it was a damaged as it was fitted very interesting though.
