Man, I want Lego to revive the G-1 bionicle sets. This holds so many good memories for me. I always wanted one of the Toa Metru sets, specifically Vakama
The original Bionicle blows the new ones away. The 2015 story is poorly executed.
Only the story? The new sets can't even be considered Bionicle, they're just a new toyline.....they have only the name...only that....
hup2thepenguin Hey, both of you: do you remember what our old Bionicle was in the beginning? Just a search for masks and fighting against rahi, which were minions for some greater evil. We didn't even know what Makuta was until near the end of the first year. I mean, don't get me wrong, I doubt the new stuff will be as good, especially without the awesome store direction of people like Greg Farshtey to keep long time more hardcore fans like us hooked, but don't count it out entirely. As for the sets, we've seen the general change from more Technic -based sets in the beginning to general action figure like sets by the end. I don't particularly like the new ones, but hell, that could be my personal feeling and nostalgia for the originals. Nevertheless, we shall see very soon if Lego has a big plan for this new Bionicle, I would like to see it grow into something similar to what we have spent our entire childhood (and even past that) loving.

The enemies are zombies, with poor designs, stupid weapons and the are more similar than ever to HF, they have the same style!!... I wouldn't care if Lego called them with another name but call them Bionicle? What? Are we joking? Everyone:" yeah! Bionicle is BACK"......is back? Who is back? There isn't any continuity with the time-line (is a different story in everything), the pieces are, excuse me, shit (compared with the old pieces, are only plates pieces of plastic with printed designs), the character are different, the Toa origins are different, they are like superheroes arrived with meteors, than there are the "paesans", the wises old men, Makuta and Mata Nui that aren't the same for the meaning, for their form, for their purpose ecc....the enemies are horrible, patetic spiders, and every part of the story is "contaminated" with the HF style, and you know that is true....(in addition to pieces I mean the style of the story, the character's behavior......).
So if it was a new toy-line, I wouldn't said anything, but they are Bionicle? They are returned? No.
You can't say that.

I had the dream again. I walked into the lego store at the mall and all my favorite sets were on the shelves again. The Toa Nuva, the Glatorians, and the Piraka were all there. I held them in my hands and brought them to the cashier. But as I used my card to pay for them all i woke up and realized the harsh reality of the world. Bionicle is dead and I'll never experience the feeling of it again
And so the Mask of Life returns to the world and time restarts as Makuta and Mata Nui continue their endless chess game~

I've been thinking; just for us nostalgic, older kids/AFOLs, I think it would be nice if they re-released the original Toa in a super-sized, super-detailed, Ultimate-Collector-Series kind of way. Maybe instead of 36 pieces, Lewa could now have 360 pieces. It would be _way_ more expensive than $7.99, but I'd personally be more than willing to fork out the cash!
