Man i love the piraka so much, they have that like decepticon charm of just bunch of silly goons in a dysfunctional partnership but i also appreciate how in this aniamtion they have like closer bonds, especially avak and hakann seem like good friends
I always liked how some of the Piraka seemed friendlier with each other than others. Like how Reidak went out of his way to save Vezok from falling into that trap, or how Avak seemed genuinely happy when Hakann survived that lava pit. I dunno, I think it's cool that they actually seem to like (some of) each other, rather than being totally against everyone all the time.
I also have noticed that Thok and Avak are very aggressive to eachother most of the time. Also my personal headcanon is that Vesok is genuinely disliked by the rest of the Piraka (besides Reidak) because nobody looked or tried to save him when he nearly fell to his death in the canyon. Also pretty sure Thok and Hakan don't like eachother aswell.
Yeah, the only problem that I had with these animations is that the arrival of the Toa Inika was incorrect. They were Matoran turned into Toa who arrived in canisters, not ancient heroes who had been sleeping in a cave.
This animation was so cool growing up... This was the year Bionicle got really edgy. I mean, it was going that direction before, but 2006 was probably the biggest leap.
Why that year? 2005 saw the Toa Metru mutated into monsters, discover that Makuta had been behind their transformation into Toa, Vakama turning evil before redeeming himself, and eventually threatening to destroy the universe to keep Teridax away from the Vahi.
@@toahero5925 yeah, but after all, it's just filler for the Metru Nui's precuel. to be honest, the Web of Shadows' arc is not very relevant because it has some plot holes, because that never is mention on the 2nd movie. so, just pretend that the 3rd movie don't exist and nothing changes, nothing happens. now, the Voya Nui's arc is relevant because is the secuel of Mask of Life's ark.
@@ianmata1998 There are zero plot holes. It makes perfect sense. The only thing that doesn't make sense is that it is Vakama who turns, although Greg made it make way more sense in the novel.

CandleClockMedia because he kinda is. I know a lot of people are not really fans of Piraka because of their "Yo yo Piraka" advertising, but the lore behind them was really cool. They were all like anti-Toa, kind of pararel dark version of them. They were working in team, but they all hated each other. They had elemental power but could use them only in union with another Skakdi, so this and search for Mask of Life was the only thing that kept them together. They've arrived to Voya Nui with Toa Canisters, but instead of protecting Matorans, they've pretended to be a Toa and enslaved all Matorans except for the last six. Zaktan was a leader that nobody listened to but was the most cunning, had an ability to split into small protodites, and could utilise Antidermis and had contact with Makuta. Thok was the solitary one, he disliked everyone and wanted to betray them all, but acted to everyone to be their ally. Avak was the engineer, he was able to create smart devices like Zamor launchers and prison cells for even Zaktan and Toa Nuva, but also was the most loyal to the group, especially to Hakann and they actually respected each other the most in the entire team and they had the strongest alliance, but he also was cool with Zaktan, Thok and Vezok, but Reidak seriously hated Avak. Hakann was the biggest brutal and bully, he just loved giving pain and suffering to others, and he had an alliance with Avak, but he hated Vezok for some reason and tried to kill him multiple times. Reidak was the strongest, the most dangerous and the most reckless, and he was teamed up with Vezok to steal the Mask of Life from the rest of Piraka, but Vezok also planned on betraying Reidak. Vezok was the craziest of them all, and also actually everyone wanted him to die for some reason, and actually was not really loyal to the rest of Piraka, only to Reidak. Also he got split with Fusion Spear and that created Vezon, but all Piraka would rather wish Vezon gone and he was not part of the team. Piraka actually felt to me like a rich and interesting characters, I loved their interactions and how independently each one of them acts, I don't think they have deserved to be mocked because of Yo Yo Piraka song, which wasn't even that bad, just different from the rest of Rocky Bionicle Music, okay not the best choice, but if you read their biographies they are actually entertaining characters.
Nice post, I'd add some line breaks for readability and I think you once mentioned Vezon when you meant Vezok? As for "Yo Yo Piraka" I think I can take it seriously, but at the same time I can find it funny due to how Lego seemed to push the whole "Gang Violence" topic to possibly attract more young people to it(wonder if that was specifically done for the US Market) which makes it funny, but something being silly, funny or nonsensical, doesn't make the entire thing stupid by far, something can be silly but still good.
