    Good tech, but too much formality.

    Loop choke? Kinda looks more of a baseball bat technique more to me. The no gi choke (the aguiar choke) is more like a guillotine.
    Regardless, thank you for the video, I’ll for sure be trying this out today in our gi class

    With the loop choke do you have to let go of the collar when you switch the hips? Can you just hold on to the collar and just switch the hips so not to have to do an extra step? Or is the re-gripping of the collar at a different angle?

    • @markcukrojiujitsu2322
      @markcukrojiujitsu2322  4 роки тому

      You don't have to let go at all. It is changing angles and letting go to get it on the other side. So, if it is working, don't let go!

    Yes. Pulling with both hands as you lean to the side.

    Choke didn't seem to work. Are you pulling with the top hand?

      I think he borrowed a belt that day. He just stopped in and we recorded this. As of this post he is a 3rd Degree Black Belt

    Can you use a baseball grip? (right hand thumb up) for the choke?

    • @lunazhang6010

      handsomegorilluh I think his opponent’s right arm is in the way of a baseball choke

      Both are totally acceptable but personally I use Gi. In Brasil almost everyone calls it a kimono
