I just was fucking around with my grappling dummy and found this choke. Googled it and found this video haha awesome! Thank you this will definitely help me
Great instructions especially at the end how the choke works.
Good tech, but too much formality.
Loop choke? Kinda looks more of a baseball bat technique more to me. The no gi choke (the aguiar choke) is more like a guillotine.
Regardless, thank you for the video, I’ll for sure be trying this out today in our gi class
Glad it worked for you! We'll be featuring Fernando again for sure.
Really nice instruction and thank you for continuing to rotate the camera angle to view the technique. Look forward to practicing this.
You are very welcome!
Did it...worked like a charm thx!
wow, this lesson makes me not blink. very helpful, gracias!
Sick gi choke. Can't wait to try it
Fernando has some nice techniques for sure!
Excellent armbar choke! Oss!
Fernandito que hermoso verte!!!! Un beso amigo, sigue así :)
Awesome techniques! Great instruction. 👍
Nice techniques! Thanks for sharing!
With the loop choke do you have to let go of the collar when you switch the hips? Can you just hold on to the collar and just switch the hips so not to have to do an extra step? Or is the re-gripping of the collar at a different angle?
You don't have to let go at all. It is changing angles and letting go to get it on the other side. So, if it is working, don't let go!
Excellent breakdown and explanation of the technique.
👍
Yes. Pulling with both hands as you lean to the side.
Choke didn't seem to work. Are you pulling with the top hand?
Nice!

Thank you!! Those tidbits on the loop choke are frikkin priceless!
Did he say at 2:56, it ain't no neck-crank, it's a choke. Ok!, Let's wrk our neck-cranks!! 😄
+John Taylor He sure did. It is a sneaky choke!
Im drilling these until its automatic !! Oss
Right hand thumb down.
Excelente muy bien
thanks for sharing
Great thanks!
What's with his belt I don't see the white or red bar for stripes lol..?
I think he borrowed a belt that day. He just stopped in and we recorded this. As of this post he is a 3rd Degree Black Belt
Can you use a baseball grip? (right hand thumb up) for the choke?
handsomegorilluh I think his opponent’s right arm is in the way of a baseball choke
Sneaky sneaky.
its called "Gi" and not kimono
Both are totally acceptable but personally I use Gi. In Brasil almost everyone calls it a kimono
