There's a super simple explanation for this. There are more DPS than healers. Example - for a range of 2100 - 2200cr there will be a larger number of DPS than there are healers. Lets say for example in this range there are 400 dps and 200 healers. The 100th best dps will always be a higher rating than the 100th best healer because 100 covers a lot less of the total DPS in this range (25% vs 50% for healers). Another way to look at it is this - which countries win the most medals in the olympics? It's the countries with large populations because they are more likely to have athletes that will place.
In your first example: you can have 200 healers at 2199 and the 400 dps all below that, disproving your point under your assumptions. With your Olympics argument: I couldn't disagree more. India has the world's highest population and only 42 medals. The US has 2761 medals. It's about the quality of players from the country, not the quantity of the country's population. Argentina won the World Cup and the Copa, and they have the 35th largest population. Now is there some correlation between population size and medals won? Absolutely.
You havent played a healer in shuffle, have you? what you say isnt wrong, but its just an explanation on why the system is rigget, its not a solution to the problem. except you proclaim there is no problem, then we go back to the first question: you havent player a healer in shuffle, have you? why would i play a pvp 3s mode where i am in top% with 2k rating? i am slightly below 2k with my healer, and the most frequent case is i get a healer 50-100 rating below me. we play 3-3 and i lose points. just to drop so much that i get a healer 50-100mr above me, i go 3-3 and move back to 2k. there is no progression. there is no fair distribution. a system built like this loses its participants but thanks that you explain the mmr system like we arena players are dumb potatoes that havent been playing mmr systems for the past 2 decades. really thoughtful.
@@daveeurytion8524 lol look at the first page of the leaderboards. Does 4 healers towards the bottom of Top 100 look like "a normal distribution of MMR/Talent" or is it skewed heavily towards dps?
mmr is fkd for healers in shuffle, this is nothing new. Or well, it is and it isnt. There are almost no healers in the game period, so you as a 2150 disc can be placed in a lobby vs a healer thats 150 mmr lower than you for example. If you go 3-3 or 4-2 in the lobby vs that healer, you will simply lose mmr AND rating, and in that sense its fkd. And most often than not, you're going to be 3-3, or 4-2. Best case scenario is 5-1 and very rare occasions 6-0 happens ofc. But vast majority of games are 3-3 or 4-2. Edit: Would like to add that overall mmr, not just for "healers" is kinda fkd, and has been fkd for a while now. Afaik its capped in shuffle / 3s, but not in blitz (probably because blizzard wants people to play blitz since its a new mode and have good "numbers" to show for it). -- this is only tinfoil hat speculations from my side thats the case, but its hardcapped, for sure.
I'm not sure why so many people can't figure out that Solo shuffle is all relative, it dosent matter if there's "lower cr healers" Its all % based on your own spec vs your own spec. Comparing your spec to others pointless in a mode LITERALLY based on your own specs CR only. IT dosent matter, and they're not getting screwed. lol Your r1 title literally has nothing to do with othher healers CR in shuffle. Its not 3s bro Also, your conspriacy theory on "they feel like theyre inferior" bro...this is super simple math. Its a mmr system Lower amount of healers exist across the game, all aspects. IN SOLO SHUFFLE LOL. luckily, its based on you know...% of vs your own spec...so it literally dosent matter For normal ladder thios matters, but all this work you did is useless when you just think, and realzie wiat. its soloshuffle...the one relative only based cr...
With your first point: I agree that you're facing off against your spec for r1 titles. However, people also want to hit mmr breakpoints like Duelist and Elite which require specific crs in shuffle, so healers are getting screwed in that regard. For your second point: whether you like it or not, you are agreeing with my first rationalization. You literally say less healers = less mmr -->You believe that healers should be on a different mmr system than dps, and you do not believe dps mmr = healer mmr unless population is equal. We are all fighting for the same rewards here. Why does cdew get punished because there aren't 1000 random pres evokers to populate the ladder to boost his mmr? He'd still be #1 (or close) regardless.
@@knadam13 The breakpoints are incredibly easy to get, that's the whole issue with wow pvp, a set breakpoint that continually changes in value. Yes you are, but what can you do about it? As a dd i play 3-4 shuffles with the same healer or evem 2 healers. Not fun As a healer i meet same 1-2 guy every match. MMR in general is still completely fucked in shuffle this season. Still only 3 people at 2400 in NA region, Legend is unobtainable until Blizzard inject some inflation. All the way down the ladder people are suffering and unable to earn rewards. I been Duelist since BFA S3 - Yet can't hit 2100 this season in shuffle.
