Those who think they know everything often know nothing at all. I don't think spook's mindset is good to get in. What i'd suggest suggest is HK boba's video on how to make a training routine for *you*
@@GalacticYuna I don't think you realise that poetry doesn't make for a valid argument very often. He said in this video that he has seen what people in certain ranks struggle with, and is a grand champ... this routine is very fitting for the vast majority of rocket league players and those who don't are likely training the wrong things. He's also a bloody coach for god's sake. He OBVIOUSLY knows what he's talking about. The irony in your message is hilarious. You come in here calling him a know it all when you just blatantly go and say that this coach who is also a GC knows nothing about rocket league and that everyone here should listen to you instead. Do you really think that his advice in this video is absolutely worthless? No. You don't. You can't possibly.
@@stippystips9418 no, i don't think all his advice is useless, and i don't think he, a gc has no knowledge. But what i have noticed is that other tutorial youtubers have the right kind of mentality, and this is especially important in his air roll videos. His air roll videos make air rolling possible.in the short term, but what people don't realise is he limits you with only a few different movements, claiming 'these are the only useful ones' despite blatant contradiction from actual coaches like Virge and pros like Squishy. For the record, spook is a coach for his community, and if i'm completely honest, he's probably the wrong person for mechanical advice. The fact that you should do 90 minutes of car control training/warmup before you play shows how serious of a sport Rocket League is. No handholding in this game!
In the past I'd occasionally do training packs and a litlle bit of free play, been d3-c1 since season 13, normally play very inconsistently never been great wiv mechanics. Done this for past 3 days and I've already improved a fuck ton this helped more than I expected 😂
It is the more usefull rocket league channel, you go right into what actually dont work instead of saying it without saying it like the others ones. Thx
I’m an idiot, but I’m not understanding something. You keep tapping L2 when you are air rolling through the rings. is that your boost button? Where is your drive button?
Rocket league needs to make a training pack where the goal is a grid and you have to hit spots(kinda like the drill in the beginning) that way you feel like you have something to beat. Something with instant gratification or something that makes you want to get a higher score.
Yo I don’t know if you’re still doing the coaching to GC thing or just champ is really wanna do that because recently I’m getting a lot slower of improving. I just wanna hit champ 😫
Stretch training is the hardest part...I never know HOW to practice new things I've tried learning air roll, but i feel like i have no starting point to work on. I just spin and go in random directions 💀
That’s how it started for me as well. I’ve been c3 for quite some time and only recently started using air roll left. Started out spinning downward towards the ground and now after just playing with it more and more I can control air dribbled way more efficiently. I’d say just keep trying to use it as much as you can when you go into practice and the mid-air adjustments will start to feel more natural.
@@buttery1toast i definitely wanna learn air dribbles at some point, i dont like flashy stuff but that mechanic definitely seems pretty vital...it's just so hard to practice new mechanics in the middle of a ranked D3/C1 lobby, and i hate freeplay 😅

Do i have to rely on trying to outsmart everyone instead of getting good car and ball control? every time i shoot i feel like i'm a random direction generator. an hour here and there my aim works perfectly. but most of the time its like playing the lottery. I have been practicing on workshop maps like hoops, shot practice, dribbles cources and flying through various rooms and obstacles. the hoops is the only thing i do descent enough. It's depressing how inconsistent i am with car and ball control. and shooting. And most people are much better mechanically compared to me at my ranks. I don't even know how i made it to diamond 3 when i have consistency like a silver. I must be an untalented genius with incredible amount of luck and poor motor skills.
