oh my goodness! you gave me courage LOL I have a ficus that had never been pruned. I staked it, tied it and then gave it a bold 'haircut'. Thought I'd never be able to do that! But now it looks like a very pretty tree and it's sprouting new growth, so I know all is well. Just wanted to say thanks for giving me the encouragement to do that.
How would you trim back a ficus that was has lost a majority of its leaves? She has a couple of green leaves left which is hopeful and she has lots of branches like yours. Should we trim her down low or how should it be done? Your advice would be greatly appreciated!

In the wild the wind shakes them, and to make your ficus strong and healthy you should shake them too.
My Weeping Fig has LOTS of branches that haven't had any leaf growth since their leaves were dropped a year ago. Should I trim off those bare branches?
