We have driving ranks here in my part of Canada, but it's only for learners and new drivers (a magnet with a red L or green N, which is how most people refer to the ranks in conversation too). You have them for a year and two years, respectively, before you get your regular licence, with testing in between all of those. They all come with restrictions like not being able to drive certain hours or with certain passengers. I think the addition of good ranks for safest driving is a great idea, like a badge of honour.
We also have the grid system, but it's numbered, with numbers like (this is made up) 51st Street and 202nd Avenue, so you'd always know where you are, because you'd just go through it in your head real quick. The roads also have unofficial names, which are on different, yellow signs. A fictional example would be something like Bird Road, because that's what it used to be called before the grid system made it 1st Avenue.

I like finding problems with videos:
1. You would need 2 traffic lines to indicate north from south and east from west which is more of a hassle to make and use.
2. Simply the logistics of changing every non grid into a grid, removing buildings as not all buildings will be small or big but in between changing it back to a non-grid or making grids too big
3. The tiers on the numberplate could be forged
4. The bad tier would slow down the regular and faster tiers making them always around slow drivers
5. The conveyers would cause major slippage at the entrance and exit as the car would be pulled apart and compressed
6. Grids would be slow intersection after slow intersection and you could use google maps if you don't know the way
Some of the other features didn't seem too bad though

all good except when he talked about the dotted line because roads have solid lines too so what would the solid lines look like for each direction?
The driving tiers is actually a good idea lol. You would instantly know when to keep distance.
Ok yes for higher tiers, but imagine putting every bad driver in the same two lanes
Really? Letting people go faster than the speed limit is a bit questionable.
@@fallenflame8678 yeah I commented that before watching his whole explanation lol that’s definitely not safe
@@thepro4805 yeah some highways only have two lanes anyway, I more just meant it would be a tell for other drivers that tells you how alert to be
@@EklinOfficial yes ik wouldnt it be better to have bad drivers near good drivers so if they drive bad the other drivers would know how to not crash into them

It does

You should make a video about fixing school systems-- like the basic rules at school. Maybe even change the grade levels?
Or maybe even grades themselves!
0:30 Vsauce moment
Oh Oats, thank you so much for this valuable information. I’m sure everyone will begin to follow them, and they will make the world a safer place.
2:35 - So basically, the way the roads are build in Utah and Arizona and that. The LDS had it right.
I know this dude is “objectively correct about everything” but jokes aside, I actually agree with him on basically everything. this guy should run the world
WE NED A ORANG LIT(insert bird from Egypt here 3x)
3:07 thats exactly what happens in Talca,Chile
And as always, Jenkins is objectively right about this.
At this point this guy will make a life 2
You are undoubtedly right in every way imaginable!
You should make it so everyone has to agree when construction is happening and where so it’s most convenient for everyone (except frowny face rank) or just get rid of construction entirely to speed up all traffic
8:46 "I don't know the government can figure it out" 😂😂😂😂
7:30 hes describing the Netherlands lol

Make sure to add more restrooms on long highways, would definitely reduce accidents by reducing the ... other accidents.
Also, please mention public transportation.
Public transportation sucks and will never be good. It’s slow, less freedom, and way more expensive
@@ancellery6430 What about just using bikes for everything?
@@ancellery6430 "slower" - I've been on a light rail train doing 55 miles per hour when nearby cars would be doing 30 or less
"Less freedom" - your car only goes where road goes and the freedom to choose not to drive is still freedom
"More expensive" - one of the biggest drawbacks of car infrastructure is that car infrastructure is ludicrously expensive. Why do you whine about potholes? Because your local government can't afford to maintain the amount of road they built
@@fishypugbruh you are either joking or very dumb
@@blitzn00dle50 so do you plan on bulding a trainstation at every single grocery store, farm, and business across the nation?
you could add fences or something to the biking freeways so the bikers don't accidently crash into a car
He did
I’m not sure fencing is the best option
What I like is basically the bike lane has a seierate but if pavement on the other side that acts as a barrier
Basically you extend the walkway but cut a decent sized part out about a meter off the road for bikes to use
@@jmurray1110 in chicago cars just drive on the bike path ☹️ this would 100% happen on freeway bike paths even if they were separated
@@compactcow not if the bike lane was too thin you don’t need as much space for bikes as cars since it’s a single person machine
Plus to get into the Nike lane you would need to mount the kerb and that’s terrible for cars
I love this style of video, keep it up man good videos here
While I know he's always objectively right, grids create more traffic because they require people to give way to people going the opposite direction at each intersection, and those turning make 90 degree turns, requiring greater speed reduction for turns
The point of the grid system is to be easy to navigate, and the new laws will offset any inefficiency of the grid system.
Make it a hexagon grid so that there are only three roads intersecting
@@alesh.4520 i hate you
@@alesh.4520 Hexagons are in fact the bestagons!
@@alesh.4520 But then the lines aren't straight, so you have to turn at literally every intersection.

I like what you’re thinking! 👍👍👍

Traffic in Katsumotoland
Katsumotoland uses the Greek road signs in Katsumotonese language(32 letters)
Regulatory signs
Mostly circular,blue or red
Stop sign:STOP written in Impact,on red octagon
Yield sign:the only regulatory sign with yellow on it
Information signs:blue rectangle
Warning signs:red and yellow triangle
Light signals
Red=stop and green=proceed
Drives on:right
Speeds:km/h
Fonts:Arial,Impact(Stop sign only)
I personally think we could make a walking roads. I mean like zero cars purely for walking and make it accessible for everyone. I think call it sidewalk 2. No more cracked pavements or car blocking sideways u know. Specifically made for wheelchair and roller users and just all mobility aids. Sidewalk 2 is the future

Well I guess if w is an m then you’ll know it’s east, and same for e and 3. You just kinda have to watch out.
There are two sections on the road
Different lanes
same in Midtown Manhattan
