  • A future of rising global temperatures looks bleak. To stop it, we need to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 2.5% every year, until they reach zero. Here's how we can do it.

All we can do is minimize the impact that climate change will have, unfortunately.

I’ve cut down my meat consumption to 1-2 times a week
Beef max one... trying to cut back on that as well
I have stopped using disposable things such as tea bags, plastic bottles, makeup wipes, tampons (I use a menstrual cup) wish I could cut down on my car usage more but I hope to one day buy a Tesla (I have solar panels so hope that will reduce the electricity impact) I barely use heating/cooling in my house. I compost all my food waste and recycle everything that can be
And yet it’s so frustrating to me that all these things were so easy to implement and really have only made positive impacts to my life (and my bank account) but so many people just don’t give a crap so they don’t do these simple things as well.

Im trying to get my paycheck. There is no way I can give up my car (cuz I need it). and Im barely saving for my family (no way in hell im going to ever be rich enough to buy a Tesla). and besides, reducing emissions won't solve global warming, it will just delay it. If its inevitable, why not just go through with it. Politicians swarm us with taxes and blame us for global warming. Im sorry but this is ridiculous. Its not my fault that countries havent invested in the myriad of companies that have actually made products that actually reduce CO2 levels in air, but instead, tax us and then use our money to get their paychecks and their jet planes that actually hurt the environment. don't blame the working class, blame the politicians themselves. Jeez

Climate Change, if there is any, IS CAUSED BY GEOMAGNETIC FIELD SHIFT. Earth's magnetic field shift is overdue. It is a scientific fact that the shift/excursion is happening now. Excursion is the term used for a partial movement. The magnetic field's strength drops to 5% during a shift.

Protesting is also a good idea but the thought ‘it’s all the companies’ fault and I individually don’t have any impact’ is a trap. We all can influence what happens also by individual behavior. Like said in the video if enough people would make small changes, it would add up. Also the more individuals value planet-friendly action, the more companies would have to follow (and companies are made up of individuals too). The thought that one person can’t make a difference is harmful cause then noone would ever start trying to make a difference. Starting out modeling better behavior may attract/inspire others to do the same.

So why don't we just go plant a few billion trees?
... Because there are already three trillion trees on Earth. The benefit of planting one tree is effectively zero, other than they look nice.
But, if we planted a few million, directly in the smoggiest parts of Shanghai, we could probably make life better for several million people. And that's not nothing.
Assuming the smog doesn't kill them, of course, as trees can't live without sunlight.

And the warming isn't distributed evenly everywhere. The average warming is very slight, only a few degrees, so it doesn't mean it can't snow. But just a few degrees does mean drastic changes to the climate overall and in the long run.
