During the bridge part to "stay away" Kris plays a bad ass funky bass line that cuts through that riff. Its one of my favourite parts of the album 10:55
Kurt was the master of the 5 chord voicing. I’m not sure that other than the Ramones, have anyone done it more, but yet, made it so interesting at the same time. Great video brother. Any thoughts of putting all the solos from the album in a video. Cool to see how he made lyrical solos while playing in front of 5s. Just a thought. Great video and as always, much love from Tulsa.
Hey Eric, thanks so much for the comment and kind words mate! I'll defo cover all the solos in my lessons but i like the idea, already planning to do all the solos from Ten ;-) so stay tuned!
I spent the mid to late 90's obsessing over Kurt Cobain's guitar playing. I was impressed when you got the little two note verse riff correct for Smells Like Teen Spirit(G & B string instead of B & E). But you need to look up some videos of Kurt playing these songs. You got Come As You Are and Polly wrong. You're playing the right chords but in the wrong position.
Yea i must admit to going for the vibe more than worrying about where he played it on the neck, if i got the chords totally wrong i'd be a bit gutted :-) Thanks for the comment though, always happy for constructive criticism!
for in bloom, for the second riff in the pre chorus. on the album, kurt cobain uses a bar chord on the first and third fret. a tip to make the song sound like in the album. peace!
Not sure if it's true or not but for the clean part of the verse of In Bloom, do barre chords and press down all the strings when you do the power chords, it sounds closer to me

Idiots! What I wanted to say is that there are a billion covers of nirvana's riffs. Maybe it's time to try something new. Nevermind came out in 91.we are in 2020.
Elí Reyes thanks Eli and I appreciate your comment, my fave grunge bands were always PJ and AIC. I actually like Soundgarden more now than I did back then as the other two bands just spoke to me more. If everyone agreed on everything the world would be a boring place 😀🤘
This album's a timeless classic. Thanks for covering "Endless, Nameless" as well!
Agreed and you're welcome! Endless, Nameless was good fun to jam to haha :-)
@@LetsPlayAll what tune is your E low string when you play that sounds awesome

@@spidermanfan.3161 just plain A 😀🤘
Nearly 30 year old songs and still amazing. Great tones there Matt.
Cheers Brian! Tested out the new pedal board with this one. So many good riffs on this one, good fun running through them all :-)

Awesome! Some amazing bass (and drums) throughout this album for sure 😀🤘
That tone is so brutal i loved it
Damn that tone is just perfect
I am absolutely in love with your channel! You play and even teach how to play my favourite songs!
Ah thanks mate appreciate it! Lots more to come 😀🤘
Sounds amazing!

Is there more pearl jam albums coming? I absolutely love these videos!
Thanks mate! Yes indeed, next up Vitalogy 😎🤘
when endless nameless started playing, my phone screen glitched out creating a sick effect lol
Kayleigh Dewa haha 😀🤘
Great 😉 Nice tone with the opAmp ! I own a big muff w/ tone Weaker, nice pedal too
Hey Aymeric! Thanks, it's a great little pedal and really reasonably priced, unsurprisingly does a wicked Smashing Pumpkins tone too!
lithium has to be one of the most fun songs to play on guitar ever

Lithium should have been in DGCFAD to sound right. Same thing with Drain You.

Which one is better, Nevermind or Ten?
Ive always asked this question to myself but im sure now that my answer is Ten.
For me always Ten, but Nevermind was a different beast entirely despite them being released about a month apart. Man 91 had some good albums!

😀🤘
Teen Spirit intro plays with chorus?
Don't think so, i'm playing intro clean, verse/prechorus has chorus tho
You should try songs from the band Seether, they sound so much like nirvana
Adam Spitfire cool will check them out! 🤘

Wow. Louis CK can jam.
the irony of playing nirvana on a suhr
The real irony here is I paid less for the Suhr than I would’ve done a MIM Fender Kurt Cobain Fender Jag 😀
You forgot to destroy your guitar after Endless, Nameless lol
Next time 😂
