HARVESTING our First Fruit Punch Mango in Phoenix! It was DELICIOUS!!

It's Mango season in The Green Yard! So far we have harvested Fruit Punch, Carrie and one Spirit of '76 Mango. They have all been delicious! We have both our Fruit Punch and Spirit of '76 Mango trees in the side yard of The Green Yard. This has become a great space for growing our more sun loving tropicals like our Mangoes, Papayas and Sapotes. I planted our Fruit Punch Mango with my dad back in March of 2021. You can view the planting video here, • Planting a Fruit Punch... . It has been doing well in it's space and this past year I provided zero cold protection or sun protection. The tree flowered great in the spring and ended up holding one Mango. This mango was very sweet and had more of a fruity taste to it then our other mangoes like our Carrie. All of our home grown mangoes have a very nectary taste with little to no fiber. I'm excited for next years Mango season and I'm hoping for even more ABUNDANCE in The Green Yard!
