Nice to see at last that L and UL rods with best materials or very good materials in budget series. UL rods need very best carbon and guides to be capable to manage and feel fight with small fish ....good work Andrew
Would you consider adding a bend test to your reviews? Standardized with a 200g weight at a particular angle? The biggest thing with these AliExpress rods made with high end materials is that i am not confident in the action ill get.
Additionally where would you put this against some of purelure 's 40+46t rods? Purelure is better about their marketing material. I do ajing style fishing in the west coast USA, using the same jig-heads and worms to catch jacksmelt. I actually have come to prefer a slower taper than traditional budget Aji rods, but I don't like the sensitivity drop off that heavier carbon with bendy tapers gives
@@dnullify100 You should look into something that has T1100G carbon used in the blank as it adds softness without loosing that much sensitivity like standard medium modulus carbon.
@@gvidasgi2480, I've actually been looking for just that - but outside of flagship JDM rods $350+ there seems to be very few options available. The only one I can find is the major craft aji-do 5g at $180
@ please let the rod mfgs know. We are ok with additional $5-10 more to the rod cost. Personally I would not buy this rod even if it cost $10 less($40ish).

Yes, agree! Thanks
Hi Andrew, longtime fan. I bought this rod 0-3g version. I'm struggling to find a 4lb braid to go with it. Any recommendations? Cheers.
Xbraid X4 PE0.2. If you want cheaper and not as thin, then this is ok andrewknots.com/r/GimselBraid1

Will consider it. There will be a test video at some point though in a real fishing situation. Thanks.

Im still waiting for my. Paid 30$ for 198m . will you do a field test? Could you compare with purelure zero ?
Yes, most likely!
only £52 at the mo, through you link. Cracking rod for that price.
Fuji version is way less than that! In any case, a fantastic rod!
I got mine for 41 pound I think not including postage
Привет) почему не рассмотрели версию до 8 грамм ?
Because I did review different one.
How many rods do you have ?
A good few dozens too many, I admit.
@AndrewsKnots Thanks for reviewing them 🎣👍
Amazon has handing fishing rods for 12 bucks right now
Cool. Thanks for sharing.

I wish Mifine shipped rods to my country :/
Sorry.
These rods need more guides.
I would partly agree, I would an extra smaller guide to reduce the gaps.
