Remember when weapons used to be tempered and cooled using your enemies blood? I miss those days. it's the only way to get the cool red effect in the metal.

It would’ve been way better if you just made it like this instead of that. Next time try changing that piece to this piece and it’ll be much better, trust me
Fun fact of the day: Shuriken were not originally used by Ninja, they were used by Samurai. Metal was too expensive for ninja to use as a throwing tool, since it's an easy way to lose something expensive, and many/most of the ninja were simple villagers. Even large clans were still just villages that didn't have the money a lordship would. Samurai had access to that level of worth from their lord, and were given them as tools to use in combat. Ninja would gather them from battlefields to re-use with mild modifications like drip grooves for poison. Eventually as time went on, and metallurgy became more widespread and easier to access and the process and materials getting cheaper, ninja villages were able to forge their own shuriken. They were still mostly used as push daggers and tools however, only thrown in a last ditch attempt at retreat, since it was still a waste of expensive metal to throw. Imagine making a set of 99% silver daggers, and throwing them all at someone. It doesn't make much sense, unless it's a last resort. The cost would be similarly comparable from then to now.
Bro, try making a miniature anvil. All black Smiths compete to make crafts such as knives, katanas or others, but miniature anvils? I haven't seen it yet, please😻
That awesome man! I remember those were a craze in the 80's and early 90's, well, in South Africa at least🙂 I wish I kept some., but they always had the tendency to not come back.🤔 I have an old file. I think I'll make me one.🤙👊
I remember making so many of these origami shuriken , eventually kids in my school caught on , eventually I would see them everywhere with people using different colored paper , when UA-cam was still real simple and real
I definitely have to make a guillotine like that. Just a big bent piece of spring steel with some round bar welded to it. Genious. My mates are going to be so jealous when they see how overcomplicated theirs are in comparison.
As neat as it is, you just made the shuriken unbalanced by adding that brass coin to the side. If looks are your goal that is one thing, but you just made it ineffective from even shorter ranges. Either way, I do love your idea. Great job making fun toys out of scrap metal.
Maybe you are right but the main goal here was to try a few new things and make it look cool. Most likely I'll toss it a few times at my barn's door and I'll leave it in my drawer. Or I'll lose it in the high grass in my yard :D Maybe in future I'll make a few more simple ones to practice throwing them for fun.
