I guess they thought the 3DS was on it's deathbed and barely anyone would buy it. Which is fair, but the Persona cultists would've quickly bought it, especially after 5. Then again, I feel like the localization team picked up that people really liked the Japanese voices, which explains their decision to include the JP voice tracks as DLC.
KirbyLinkACW honestly I do almost exclusively dubbed anime and never put jp voices on. The persona stuff have always been done really well. I do think that Vic being Junpei’s VA hurt the chances though.

Also, I didn't think about it until now. This was around this tiime all the KickVic stuff started happening, wasn't it?

@@KirbyLinkACW honestly some dubs are just so good that it's worth rewatching an entire series over again just to listen to the VA. When I think of really good dubs I think of Persona for games and Death Note for anime.

I find it kinda odd that P5 protag had so many ship-teases in his dancing game while P3 protag had zero. It makes it even weirder since P3 protag has base game romances Yukari, Aegis, and Elizabeth while P5 protag doesn't (except the loli wardens of course.)
The whole bit at the beginning reminded me of nothing so much as a cuter, less aggressive version of NOMAD from the original _Star Trek,_ when it starts wondering about singing. "What is the meaning? What purpose is singing?"
