If anyone's interrested in the logic behind this TAS, at first, he goes straigh for the fruits, untill all walls are placed. Then, he starts to follow the same predetermined path over and over again. This phase starts at 1:53. Following the same pattern would be long and pretty boring, so the TaS tries to evaluate the odds of dying if it jumps from a road section to another. At first, he can skip big chunks, like 48 blocks at a time at 2:00. At 3:24, there's only a 2 block section in the middle he's still consistently skipping. Near the end, the odds are not worth the time save so he just follows the same path untill it win
I tought that he was doing that path because if he was skipping too much, an apple could spawn inside the parts where he skipped, and it would actually be slower to wait for the snake's body to move out of the way to get it

It follows a path that covers almost every square of the map, so any apples that appear will be on its path eventually. And every time it eats an apple, its body expands, reducing the possible apple locations by one each time until there's just one spot left and it wins
Tbh the walls popping up are completely rng. I played once on max size map and the first wall to appear was directly infront of my snake. High speed into a wall with 1 point. No space between the eaten apple and the wall. Purely amazing

I like how the way the snake approaches the apples changes, at first the snake tries to find the absolute fastest way to the apples. And when the snake gets very long it takes the longest way possible to delay as much time so parts of the tail can retract and give him more space.

And very specifically not just the longest way possible, but the most compacted way so that the apple doesn’t spawn in the middle of his wiggly lines and trap himself when trying to get it

Dood I thought it was going to be just a bot that finds a perfect route and then just rolls with it. But once it started accounting for its length, using up turns to not hit its tail, using up sections of the board to not have an apple spawn where it doesn’t want to, THEN making a route and even adjusting that route accordingly. It really was perfect dood
I absolutely love the way the AI is programmed; although it seems like the path it takes is over-complicated, it actually keeps the body in one area of the map so it doesn’t get in the way later on.

Late answer, but if you’re still intrigued by the music this makes, it’s incredibly close to a boss theme from the modded version of Terraria: just look up “Plaguebringer Goliath” and you’ll see what I mean. I’m telling you, the similarities in melody are uncanny and it’s exactly what comes to mind when someone mentions “making a song out of this”

Dood I thought it was going to be just a bot that finds a perfect route and then just rolls with it. But once it started accounting for its length, using up turns to not hit its tail, using up sections of the board to not have an apple spawn where it doesn’t want to, THEN making a route and even adjusting that route accordingly. It really was perfect dood

I absolutely love the way the AI is programmed; although it seems like the path it takes is over-complicated, it actually keeps the body in one area of the map so it doesn’t get in the way later on.

Late answer, but if you’re still intrigued by the music this makes, it’s incredibly close to a boss theme from the modded version of Terraria: just look up “Plaguebringer Goliath” and you’ll see what I mean.
I’m telling you, the similarities in melody are uncanny and it’s exactly what comes to mind when someone mentions “making a song out of this”

it's not an ai it's a tas it's basically rng manipulation and set inputs it executes that are predetermined, so the tas didn't calculate anything
