The snakes looked at eachother, unable to communicate. They were the same, but completely different. They made the same movements, but in an opposing direction. They made a mental connection, but spoke no words. As they collected food they realised that they were destined to become stuck, completely unable to move. The final move was up. The last Apple had been picked. They remain, motionless, in perfect harmonic peace.
I mean, I read it as: HAHA FUNNY SNEK EAT LE APPLE THEY GO BRRRRR WOW SO FUNNY AHHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA TOO STUPID TO TALK SO THEY EAT AND GET FAT LOLOLOLOL
Well Sophia, it's actually easy to not get confused, focus on one snake, since the other snake had the opposite movements the other snake won't be able to kill itself unless the snake your looking at dies
Fun fact: it's mathematically impossible for the 2 snakes to hit their head one against the other if the size of the playground is a number that is a multiple of 2.

This looks extremely hard, because they are always inverse directions, so if you wanna eat an apple with either of them, one of those snakes will have to be controlled in an opposite manner

I feel like this would be easier as a player if there were two apples in opposing positions, so you can follow just one snake
That's what I do, and the other snake clears out a little bit of apples for me, since I usally play with 2 or more apples spawning at a time.
Than this mode would have no purpose, you would only end up taking removing space
