I look forward to every update and upload that you put out. I wade and fish the creek behind my house everyday; improving my skills with casting, rigging, hook-sets, line/hit detection, arsenal, and overall angling experience. My grandpa, Norm Bohm, recently passed away from cancer at the age of 83; a true hunter, angler, poured his own lead, railroad worker and many things beyond - a tremendous man. I was supposed to go camping with my other half and some of her friends up at Castle Lake in California; however, due to the wildfires it got canceled. Originally, we would gone to see my grandpa for a day (Shasta County) then leave the next day to camp with the friends. I still wanted to see my grandpa, regardless of the fires, so we ended up staying with my grandpa for 4 days. On the third day my grandpa and I got up at 4:30AM, said a prayer in the boat on that glass-like stillness of Shasta Lake, and fished for 8 hours. We caught the same amount of bass that day, back-to-back catches, where he'd hook one and I soon followed suit. At one point during the morning, we both were sitting quietly fishing working drop-shots near some piles, and my grandpa said to me, ". . . y'know I'm just having a blast." Then we moved on to another spot and caught a dozen more. Two days after I left from my visit, my grandpa was at a hospital in Medford, OR for an MRI (he had brain cancer and prostate) they found a blood clot and bleeding on the brain. Four days after that he passed away in his home with his beautiful bride (what he always called my grandma) and Jesus by his side. The last thing my grandpa said to me, he handed me a 7' Redington baitcasting rod, Johnny Morris Carbon Black Series reel, a tub of lead and hooks he poured, and said, "now if I give you this, you have to promise me that you will come up and go fishing with me again." I wanted to share this with you, or whoever is even reading this, that fishing gave me such a priceless experience with my grandpa before he passed away. I learned so much from your videos just by studying your retrieve and approach. I harnessed a lot of skills from your channel and I was able to engage them. I am thankful, but even more am I grateful, for your internet presence. I know God was with me during that trip I took, giving me an experience I will cherish for my entire life, and life to come. Every time I go fishing now I know my grandpa is with me and we are fishing together. Sincerely, A big fan
Tennessee is a great example of God‘s handiwork. Your videos are in some mighty beautiful country. You have a terrific humble personality so don’t allow Satan to change it because I’m sure he’s already trying. You are obviously blessed of the Lord and I hope you thank Him often. Looking forward to the next one.
Paraphrasing an old Beatles tune: We all love your big yellow carp! Your big yellow carp. We all love Creek Fishing Adventures! 😁 (well, it sorta scans, don't it?) 😜
What an AWESOME creek fishing day!!! I would take that over any other type of fishing any day of the week!! Great video and thanks for keeping us all on the edge of our seats waiting for "what is John doing next!?" 😲🤣
You now have the greatest bass fishing story of all time its cool the way your friend sounds like he had as much fun watching you catch it as you did catching it
We NEED more Seth commentary! I mean not just in these videos but in life in general, Seth needs to start doing nba commentary, college sports commentary, and NFL commentary! That was fantastic, awesome to see yall out there having a great time.
No way someone can hit the dislike button on a fishing video like this. My favorite type of fishing to do as well. Great day you had there Jon. Can’t wait to see the next one
Hey thanks for the great videos. The quality has increased over time but was good to begin with. Thanks really enjoy your channel. That's a nice carp for that size creek. Bet you weren't expecting a carp to make your day. Solid 2 lbs out of a creek,,, can't beat that.
I was fishing a creek 2 hours ago today and I enjoyed it I’ve haven’t fishing my local creek for a couple years now and it was amazing thank you John for getting me back into creek fishing ps I love your videos please keep up your good work
Great video! It’s easy to take for granted how beautiful those small bodies of water are. I did a lot of that kind of fishing growing up in the Midwest. We have NOTHING like that in Southern California.
This is my new favorite channel. Just recently had a girlfriend take off, and this has really helped take some of the sting out of it. Creek Fishing Adventures and Meditations.
I once caught a carp on a Mepps 4 spinner. They sometimes love to take young fishes. Beautifull wild carp! Tastes good with potatoes, cream and horseradish.
Ya know everyone I watch you fishin one of those creeks I start thinking about what a beautiful place God made for us to enjoy. Then you start catchin all those nice fish and it's like ice cream on the cake. So I reckon I can have my cake and eat it too. Otherwise it's pointless to have the cake. Good stuff John. God bless
i caught a carp on a lipless crankbait, he bit it like he did yours, and he was probably 7 or 8 pounds. I caught him on a spinning rod and i thought he was gonna pull me in!
Large carp are fun to catch on light tackle. In Australia we are not allowed to return them to the river dead or alive, they are a major cause of river deterioration and in some rivers make up to 90% of the fish biomass.
Hey, from Ky. What kind of squirrel was that? Not that I'm not interested to hear what you have to say about fishing. We don't have any grey or fox squirrels that look like it. Tell us more about carp fishing. I've been wanting to try my skills at it. Keep those videos coming. You make my day 👋👏
Man, I love this channel. I wish I had some places like that to fish here in NE Georgia. We have some creeks, but not with decent fish. Thanks for the video.
I've really taken an interest in your content. I don't ever fish. Last time I had a line in the water, well I can't even remember. However, I'm in my mid 40's and I'm thinking about picking creek fishing up. I just want to slow life down a little bit, slower pace, and I want to look around and see things, and nature with an un-busy eye. I want a way where I can be at peace, but where I can really hear my thoughts and hear God speak to me. Seems like anymore I'm always wrapped up in something, or either stressed, worried, or anxious about something. Whether it be work, family related, or both, I just need to find a way to slow it all down to where I can just find peace and quiet and learn how to just enjoy that again. I really like how low to no tech your style of fishing is, yet you just carry all of this knowledge. Maybe I'm just too old to learn that much about anything new anymore, but it doesn't matter to me. Really, it wont matter if I catch much or not, just as long as I can have a nice, peaceful day out to where I can slow down enough to hear myself again. I'm not a depressed person or anything, and I am truly blessed with the life that I have. I just need to be more disciplined, or gain more discipline as a person. I think this could truly help me become that, and maybe, hopefully a wiser man and then I can teach my son the same wisdom I've gained. Honestly, when I found your channel, I wasn't even thinking, or even interested in fishing. How odd, right?
I can’t help but watching this every once in a while as it placates the excitement of fishing in general but more importantly the excitement of the unknown, when river and creek fishing! It’s astonishing that I know so many people who fish but they smirk at me because I “creek fish” yet at the same time can’t figure out why and how Me and My Cuz out fish them! Even better especially this year and last we were catching fish much bigger than they were and they were fishing a private Rock Quarry that was 6 3/4 acres by 4 acres and ranged from 10 feet-65 feet deep! We were fishing a quarter mile stretch of White River that was 2 1/2 feet-11 feet deep. That was a day we decided to call WOW! Those 4 bone heads thought us 2 couldn’t stay pace with them, and they were right lol! We couldn’t slow enough to make it close as they totaled 17 between the 4 of them in 4hrs. Me and SmallMouth Slayer totaled 23 total in 2 1/2hrs🤣 They were astonished again by this and ever since it seems those 4 and a few others are now in the river and creek fishing business lol John love your passion and excitement when you caught that common Carp! I’m called the Carp Cat Whisperer for a reason! 15lbs is a good one bro! If I can keep the Oath Breakers from trying to run us off property’s we have consent to fish on, I could have you landing 20 pounders to 25, and 30 pound Carp! 3-4lbs smallmouth all day long if they biting and large mouth 2-6 lbs are common! Caught my PB LargeMouth and Spotted Bass on the same day Nov of 2020 Spotted Bass was 4lbs 6oz LargeMouth was 6lbs 4oz captured on GoPro! Much love John Keep it up and don’t give in to tyranny brother👊
@Seth Johnson That must be nice. We do not have creeks like that here in my part of Alabama. Except in my Daddy's home town of Roanoke, Alabama. Also, I do not here our name much either. 😂
What an awesome place it sure is beautiful there great verse at the end of the video. It's always awesome to catch a big carp they fight so hard thanks for all the videos keep them coming
Hello, Creek Fishing Adventures and Subscribers. I would like some advice. I want to expand my arsenal of artificial presentations for bream, bass, trout, and crappie. I am solid on inline spinners and jigs, but now nothing about spoons. I'm not talking about those huge "flutter spoons", but the smaller swimming spoons, like the classic Epinger Dardevle white and red. Do any of you have any experience? Any recommendations? Thanks very much.
Don't bad mouth Spots, they are my favorite fish to catch. A four pound Spot is a battle worth remembering. I caught a 4.5 lb spot in Lake Cumberland, and it required 15 minutes to get him in on 8 lb test. Up there they call them Kentucky bass.
This guy is a such a underated fisherman keep it up man
This is the truth

I like when John fishes rivers, lakes, ponds etc... But still enjoy the creek fishing videos the most. Just something special about it.
Me too. Unfortunately it will probably be slowing down as it gets colder. The next video coming out is going to be a good creek wading one
@@CreekFishingAdventures Yeah, no problem John. Your subscribers are here for the long haul. You gave us some good content last fall and winter.
When John was trying to land that carp Seth and he had me cracking up!
Me too
Paraphrasing an old Beatles tune: We all love your big yellow carp! Your big yellow carp. We all love Creek Fishing Adventures! 😁 (well, it sorta scans, don't it?) 😜
That's funny.😃
You weren't expecting a carp. That's a big boy. Good day...god bless.
Not a carp. Different species
Oh yeah. I love when I get my Creek Fishing Adventures notification.
Oh ya enjoy fishing and uplifted by scriptures
We used to call carp “bugle mouth bass”. Lot of fun to catch! Love your videos!
What an AWESOME creek fishing day!!! I would take that over any other type of fishing any day of the week!! Great video and thanks for keeping us all on the edge of our seats waiting for "what is John doing next!?" 😲🤣
"Fishing is a sport second to none. Okay?" - RG the F Machine
Way to Carpe diem brother! Carpe diem indeed on that big boy! Another great trip!
You now have the greatest bass fishing story of all time its cool the way your friend sounds like he had as much fun watching you catch it as you did catching it

You were catching all kinds of fish. Nice clear water.
We NEED more Seth commentary! I mean not just in these videos but in life in general, Seth needs to start doing nba commentary, college sports commentary, and NFL commentary! That was fantastic, awesome to see yall out there having a great time.
Crazy looking squirrel! Oh yeah, the fishing was good also. 😂 That was a big carp.
I really appreciated seeing you be respectful to the carp. Earned a sub. I look forward to watching more.
The obsidian is by far my favorite. You were on them today sir. Great episode. Thats the biggest carp that I've seen caught on the hellgramite
That first bass you caught is probably the prettiest bass I’ve ever seen. Good job man and keep up on the good vids!
Those things can live 100 years! Awesome catch!
WOW! That was a good bugle-mouth bass (as we call them here) Loads of fun. Really enjoy the videos!
No way someone can hit the dislike button on a fishing video like this. My favorite type of fishing to do as well. Great day you had there Jon. Can’t wait to see the next one
Haters going to hate. Probably (loser) fishing YT channel types that are green with envy.
Hey thanks for the great videos. The quality has increased over time but was good to begin with. Thanks really enjoy your channel. That's a nice carp for that size creek. Bet you weren't expecting a carp to make your day. Solid 2 lbs out of a creek,,, can't beat that.
You make me wish we had Spotted Bass where I live (northcentral PA). You're right - PRETTY fish!
Longtime Fan showing Love in the comment section from North Carolina!!
I’m in NC right now. Fishing the coast this weekend
You ought to catch one on a a fly. Nice catch. Helga mites are great for everything. Carp are not a huge competitor to bass.
That was a beast of a carp !!
Nice carp! That is why I target them so often... they fight hard, they get big!
I was fishing a creek 2 hours ago today and I enjoyed it I’ve haven’t fishing my local creek for a couple years now and it was amazing thank you John for getting me back into creek fishing ps I love your videos please keep up your good work
Nice going today John . Very nice results .
Bugle mouth bass! 🤣
At least that's what we call carp. Nice catch
Awesome video!! Wow that lews handled that 15lb carp!!👍👍👍
Just like all of your videos John really enjoyed it and thank you for the passage you share at the end!
Wow! Thats a huge carp!! Great catch!!
Man you was on 🔥 and that was a really cool creek
Great video! It’s easy to take for granted how beautiful those small bodies of water are. I did a lot of that kind of fishing growing up in the Midwest. We have NOTHING like that in Southern California.
This is my new favorite channel. Just recently had a girlfriend take off, and this has really helped take some of the sting out of it. Creek Fishing Adventures and Meditations.
That carp thought he could take on John and win. He found out the hard way he was wrong!
Wow another fantastic video. Can't beat a day in fall with sun and blue sky.
I once caught a carp on a Mepps 4 spinner. They sometimes love to take young fishes. Beautifull wild carp! Tastes good with potatoes, cream and horseradish.
I still never get why so many people consider carp as trash fish...they're smart and tough, and anything but easy to catch.
Probably because they aren't a great looking fish nor hit a lure that often.
Nice Carp! Truly a creek giant on light tackle. Awesome!
Heck yeah man. What a video 🤙. Great job 😎
AWESOME CREEK, GREAT SPOTTED AND SMALL MOUTH BASS!!!!! This is the kind of day I am hoping to have soon... God Bless and Go KATS!!!!!!!!

Always action packed. Great day
Great video John as always.. Keep em coming brother.
Amazing catch my dude 🤯
Nice catch man 🤙🏽
Great video brother
Nice mud marlin !! Good fun to catch . Over here in oz we aren't allowed to put them back in the water . Noxious pest
Yeah they aren’t native but I guess they aren’t hurting anything and there all over the place
Clean and clear creek!
Loved the video can’t wait to take my boys and some redfish or sheepshead this weekend!
Now that's a big fish!
That was a huge carp, that looked fun!
Large carp are fun to catch on light tackle.
In Australia we are not allowed to return them to the river dead or alive, they are a major cause of river deterioration and in some rivers make up to 90% of the fish biomass.
Oh really. They aren’t native here but we don’t have any laws about them. They are everywhere
Really good video man keep it up

Some kind of fox squirrel but not sure
I was wondering about that squirrel too. Really cool looking.
I think it's because Creek Fish have more of a current to deal with it makes them stronger
Man, I love this channel. I wish I had some places like that to fish here in NE Georgia. We have some creeks, but not with decent fish. Thanks for the video.
Are yalls creek in NE Ga overfished?
great video good spot .. what a trip.
I love my lews gear!!😎
What a giant! You just never know what you'll catch.
I typed that and then you said it. 😂
Who woulda thunk it. Biggest fish of the day is a bugle mouthed bass!
Great day of fishing, you would've had sore arms by the end of the day!!

Another awesome video! Looked like an incredible location too!
@Seth Johnson those are usually the best spots!
Can you do some ultra light fishing soon? I really enjoy those types of videos .
With catch and release fishing it don’t matter what you catch species wise. The more the better !
Carp are awesome fighters and another great video
Great vid brother John, shared!
You should try to get on carp more often. They are a blast to catch
You bagged a bunch today, musta rained yesterday creek looks murkey good expo..

Top notch video 👍 👍
Again loved it !!!!

Man you wore them spots out I got to get me some of those new colors in the helgramites awesome video 👍
What size hook do you use or would recommend on your helgramite or swimbait?
Don't bad mouth Spots, they are my favorite fish to catch. A four pound Spot is a battle worth remembering. I caught a 4.5 lb spot in Lake Cumberland, and it required 15 minutes to get him in on 8 lb test. Up there they call them Kentucky bass.
