- The fish were hungry and ready to hammer my lures. We went on a 6 hour float on a small river, part in tennessee and part in georgia. The spotted bass and coosa bass were all over and plentiful. Highlight of the trip was towards the end where I got 2 giant spots in the net.

That water is so clear. I live in an area with old acid mine drainage. I know you do already, but cherish those streams.
Hey, I went creek fishing today caught a few smallmouth bass and a whole bunch of floating leaves. Caught more leaves than fish. He, he. Also, tried different color baits as well pink, black, green and white. White was the bait color today.
I kept saying, watch the tree,you didn't hear me ,nice fishing all day. GOD BLESS JOHN!

Awesome fishing trip John, that river looks amazing. I love it when you go to the helgrammite. I tried the tadpole the other day and tore them up, and caught about 20 on one nikko tadpole.
I need to try that more
@@CreekFishingAdventures that tadpole definitely surprised me. It seemed to have more of a swimming action almost similar to a swim bait but a slower presentation.

I also caught a 1 pound green sunfish and my brother caught a 1.5 pound spotted bass

John, When you grabbed that snickers bar, I thought about the Roseanne Barr commercial where she is out on the field and gets tackled and when she gets up, this guy offers her a snickers. He takes a bite and turns back into the guy's friend who is just a plain old guy. Well, I thought of this one for you....You are in the kayak. But it's not you, you are Bill Dance....the kayak tips over as only he can have a moment like that...he comes up, a friend offers you a snickers bar...you take a bite...presto! You are John once again. I just had the longest laugh over that thought.....LMAO!!!

That fish with the blisters might have been a PFAS fish from the Farmington river in CT. A lot of fish got sick from a company releasing pollutants into the water not too long ago and they might've made their way down there. It's smart to catch and release.

I don’t know a ton about spotted bass but from what I do know I believe those are the exception and not the rule. Those are studs.

how many fish did you catch?? real good fishing - the way it is supposed to be - sometimes everything comes together - good lure variety, good releases - keep fishing!
i think that may have beat the rock bass double - rest assured there are even bigger fish in there - think about a few window weights for an anchor and you can camp more on the hot spots - keep fishing!
and that big coosa bass didn't expect to see you on the other end of that 5 inch swimbait.

At the start, it looked so much like the streams in NW Arkansas I thought...what would I go with? My quick answer was a 2.5" slim SwimZ and a Ned rig for backup... guess that wasn't far off, lol.
I have been lucky enough to have a few decades on water like that...and while I do spend lost of my time now in lakes...nothing beats a stream or creek, especially the ones you need to walk they some shallow stuff...it keeps 99% of the other away if they have to work at it,lol!
Nice video John. I just picked up my first kayak today and man I am stoked. I’ll be starting my upgrades (new seat, extra rod holders, fish locator, anchor system etc) this weekend and I’ll be kayaking creeks, rivers and lakes throughout South and North Carolina!!!
