My favorite video yet! You know, I grew up in a village here in America, it was a small family farm and it looked just like where you were filming. Oh how I miss those days. I will tell you, the older I get, the more I want to return to those days. My parents and grandparents were alive, we worked from sun up, to sun down. We didn’t have a lot of money, but what we did have was each other, and plenty of good food. I’m in my early 50’s now, and those years living on the farm molded me into who I am today. I just retired, and my parents and grandparents are all gone now. But, I think about them all every single day at some point. The hardest thing for me was working all those years in the city. The noise, the traffic, everyone trapped doing a job they hated. But you stay because that’s all there is. I stayed just so I could have a pension one day. Now, here I am, collecting my pension but regret wasting all those years doing a job that I did just for a “false sense of security called a pension.” Isn’t that sad? Money can only buy you “things”,
It can’t buy you happiness. If I could live my life over, I would live in a village somewhere and stay clear of cities. May God bless all of you young people who are reading this. I hope you find the courage to follow your heart. May the Lord Jesus bless all of you in Russia. -Stephen, Ohio U.S.A.🇺🇸

@@RRaucina the first thought that came to my mind when I read "Slovakia has incredible nature and is very much under-visited" is this "Can I help" and can we do something about it together, atleast start to do something about it within our sphere of influence, let's discuss this if you are open.

    • @RRaucina

@@Sophialorenabenjamin I would say that the opposite action would be best: Keep Slovakia a secret for only the best friends and family. It has a huge area of nature in relation to the population and I think it best to keep it innocent of viral travel as long as possible. I went to Prague just before 1989 and had the sad experience to see it become just another neon tourist destination throughout the 90's . Good for the repressed people and economy, but the innocence was lost.

One of my subscribers from India said he's ready to send Aunt Galya a few boxes of Indian tea once he heard her story about Indian tea:) I thought it would be a great idea if she received some presents/letters for her birthday. That would really make her happy. It's going to be a surprise! I think she has no clue how many people around the world are watching her. So if you want to send her a letter with birthday wishes or a package with a present, her address is

Villages were so beautifull and so big witout any pollution .After atching this vedio I am missing my friend Sashha, Yuric and Andrey. I used to go there villages as a guset in summer vocations till 1st Sept. We enjoyed a lot. At that time Soviet Union was broke down and for a foriener it was very cheep to buy things. I remember on 4th Feb. 1994 I and Sashha went to Vill Krishk and on that day it was minus 44 degree celcius. It was Wonderfull day. Now I don't know what type of situation will be there. I'm a russian guy, but I love this channel and I also like this countryside type of video! Russia has so many beautiful places with good and warm people living there. All their food is natural. Many russian emigrants-vlogers who lives in the West nowadays tell that people there do not even know how milk really tastes, because almost everything at grocery stores is grown up artifically and has no flavour, although it should have. These rural people eat healthy, breath fresh air everyday and work hard. So it is a life everyone should and could live. This world needs to slow down from a perpetual contest. So, welcome to Russia! :)

What you have done here is really important. It’s documenting a special way of life that’s being lost. This is happening in many parts of the world. Here in Somerset, England many small farms have disappeared. Wealthy people move to the villages and local younger generations have to move to the towns and cities as there is no work and houses have become so expensive. A really interesting and enjoyable video, thank you.

In the 90s, the villages began to depopulate and now some of the houses are gone and other people live in new ones. That's how it will be in Russia. The old ones will leave, new people will come. Awesome video!!! I have always lived in larger cities and never had the opportunity to experience small towns in the country. I seriously cannot tell apart most of the animals in the video but it was cool to see you interfacing with them. I always thought most of Russia had mountains but the area that you showed resembles driving in the Midwest where it is flat as far as they eye can see. You should make more videos as this one!!!!

We are peaceful.. it's just some political party keeps riling black people up to cause a genocide against white people but other than that we pretty peaceful .. we also have a problem with crime and rape .. more than almost any country .. I guess this countrys people is violent 😂 but I still love South Africa..

@@officialalvah That's what black Africans do . . . blame whites and colonialism for the problems that result from their black ignorance and greed. Mugabe the greatest example in recent times, but they all do it, even in the U.S. although here they use slavery . . . not knowing just how lucky they are that because of slavery these finger-pointing blacks aren't living some backward life in the Congo.

When I listen to your babushka talking about past soviet times it seems to me that it's the same story everywhere around former eastern block.... Im from Slovakia. People back then didn't have so much material stuff but somehow they had better human qualities.... and life was not stressful as everybody says. You were not rich but basically you had everything you needed - place to live, secured job, free healthcare and education, luckier ones had even some car - skoda, lada or dacia.... People didn't have to worry about being kicked on the street for not paying mortgage as they lost their job. Nowadays everything is money driven and life turned into some kind of race about who can make more money and get more stuff.... It's really sick in my opinion.

Good insight. It just occured to me that kolhoz horses was actually a horse-sharing service in 1960s. So ahead of time!

Well said,Adam!!Well said!!Life could be so simple if ppl desire it.I have recently moved from concrete jungle(Vancouver)
to a much better place, own about 11 acres of forest and clear land and I can`t breathe enough air.I enjoy every morning
watching nature and thinking why I was so stupid spending most of My life over there.
It`s never to late to make change!!And human qualities?Yes!!It`s the same all over the World.
People WILL return some day, once they realize their mistake!Remember it!!

There is a sad joke: Brezhnev looks from heaven at the former Soviet people and asks, now you have everything, and a lot of cars and sausages have a lot of freedom. Why are you so unhappy now?

This takes me back. My grand mother used to have about a dozen 🐓 chickens in a hen house behind the house. Back then it was still legal. Every day she would feed them. Sometimes Snails and she would smash the snails shell first and throw it to them. They loved it and would fight over them. And every day she would collect about 3 to 6 fresh eggs 🥚!
And those were the freshest and best tasting eggs 🥚 I ever ate in my life! To this day! The best scrambled eggs or over easy ever!
And my mother told me her family father, mother and brother all survived WW2 because of the Goat they had. It would eat grass and give them a liter or two or Goats milk everyday. This kept them alive when there was no food. So Goats are very useful and practical animals to have around. Thanks for sharing your story about your family! The songs were interesting!
