Why Did These BILLIONAIRES Back BREXIT?

Поділитися
Вставка
  • Опубліковано 20 жов 2023
  • It was easy for some billionaires to recommend Brexit, the result of which was unlikely to affect them. Many of the national newspapers such as the Sun, The Times, The Telegraph and the Daily Mail all recommended #brexit and yet all owned by those who do not pay tax in the UK and whose proprietors live in other countries.
Prominent businessmen such as Jim Ratcliffe of Ineos, Anthony Bamford of JCB fame, James Dyson, the manufacturer of vacuum cleaners and Bernie Ecclestone all recommended Brexit. Such men are extremely rich and were unlikely to be affected by Brexit. In order to reduce his tax bill Ratcliffe moved to Monaco, Bamford is being investigated by HMRC, Dyson moved his business to Singapore and Ecclestone has just received a suspended 17 month prison sentence for attempting to deceive HMRC. He was also ordered to pay them around £530 million pounds.

The WHO pandemic treaty & the world health regulations give the WHO draconian powers. They will be voted thro in May 2024 without much ado. From that moment WHO executive will have the power to override any nations constitution, government & human rights, in any way they choose. Unless you protest now its on automatic. This man had an enormous impact on the vote, his pubs are always at the lower end of the price market both for alcohol and food, very successful too. During the run up to the vote his in house magazine placed on every table was full of Brexit nonsense. The taxation system in the UK is widely regarded as unfair due to its disproportionate burden on salaried individuals and the substantial concessions granted to the wealthy. Suppose I own a company worth £ 1 billion -yuu charge me 10% wealth tax -I dont have £100 million in the bank -my money is tied up in the company -do you then take 10% iif the business .Second if you are going to don't that I simply move the business abroad. Screwing the rich us great politics but crap economics -you end uo with less.Suppose you have an income if £5million a year-you are paying £2 million in tax in that So you.move to Jersey -your tax bill is £180750 a year you save £1;8 million a year -the UK loses £2 million -in the jast few years some 80 people have done that do the UK is losing £160 million a year -that pays for quite a few nurses and doctors. !!! The thing that keeps hard working people poor in this country is PAYE tax where the average person has 20% + 12.5% national insurance taken from their wages and those who earn a little more pay 40% tax + 12.5% national insurance. Also money is double taxed with indirect taxation of VAT at 20% etc and of course petrol triple taxed. Tax thresholds frozen till 2028 so as wages rise we lose more. The billionaires make sure they do not get taxed in the same way.

A Dyson engineer explained in detail why the maximum wattage does not matter, what does matter is the design of the vacuum cleaner which is exactly why the EU introduced that limitation.

Extremely wealthy people are always in search for more money (or influence), even though their money grows and grows independently because of interest and dividends. It is a nasty and negative characteristic of rich people and most are ruthless, vindictive, mean and indifferent in reaching this goal. To mask these nasty habits, they give lots of money to charity and do it publicly so people know and they do it with lots of unsincere ‘friendly’ words and fake smiles. It buys them influence, they normally wouldn’t have. I don’t mind people being rich, or even filthy rich, but they should stop the fakeness. And stay out of the public eye or say you’re rich, want more money, want more influence, whatever it takes. Stay in your castle or estate, fly around the world for your string of holidays or even for a shopping day in Paris or Milan, but stop bothering us with it. And stop pretending you are nice and considerate, because you’re not, and never will be. People owning a billion, a BILLION, and still want more at the cost of the common people.

No not a class war. They are in a class of their own right enough, but the people just accept it, follow their lead, make a pot of tea and grumble. If it was a class war, I'd expect a bit more resistance against their machinations. Instead the DM is the most liked paper in the land to go with that pot of tea. Providing at least one reason to grumble daily, to blame others but never the government. People drink the tea, grumble and feel oh so involved in political life, because of that grumble over that pot of tea. And with that carefully directed daily grumble, so generously supplied by these papers, they keep the masses subdued. So no, not a class w a r , rather a mass compliance drug.

He has killed off regional newspapers, and he collaborates with other billionaires to control our Conservative Politics, the “Liberal” and National Parties. At our last Federal Election (2022), NINE previously conservative seats were lost to a new breed of “Community Independents”, all brilliant charismatic hard-working women. The reason was elector concern about failure of the large Parties to address climate change, due to massive donations from fossil fuel interests. Labor currently holds a minimum majority. Hopefully more Community Independents will emerge with time. No Murdochracy just yet.

I have long believed the only way to stop this off-shoring of income/profit to avoid taxation is to first, make any business that wants to operate in the UK have a legal/financial entity that is subject to UK tax laws. Second the tax authorities should apply tax based in the business' income not profit. Profit can be manipulated but income (in theory) should be easier to track. This ought to stop the Googles of this world.

What I can't understand is that the vote on Brexit was "non-binding". In other words it did not carry any legal weight. Maybe I need to be corrected on that? So in that case how was the government allowed to go full steam ahead with Brexit? It seems now that there would be a substantial majority in favour of remaining if another "proper" referendum was held. People should protest and push for another vote on Brexit. People are now much more educated on what Brexit actually means. The evidence is all around them. Too many voters were swayed by right-wing "gutter press" newspapers. The owners of these newspapers did not have the best interests of ordinary British workers at heart.
And it's about time that a proportional representation form of voting was introduced for general elections; the "first-past-the-post" system has been abandoned in most countries as being generally unrepresentative of voters' real wishes.

And they are not well disposed towards the UK. Who will accept a country that is constantly agitating against the EU?
