They just keep showing so much love and appreciation for the culture, it give me so much life. As a hip-hop fan of soon 2 decades that's disappointed in a lot of what it has become over the years, these girls are a breath of fresh air in how amazing they rap and how much knowledge they show in every track.

I notice a new insult people have is “they don’t write their lyrics” (come to find out, they had a hand in writing for tape 4 “Xtra XG 36”). The rappers in the group are super young (18-21) and multi talented (near professional level dancers, great vocalists and performers.) We are not expecting them to be proficient with the pen yet while rapping in their THIRD language at such a young age. The fact that their delivery, pronunciation, flows, and tone are so good in English is impressive in itself. They have time to learn how to write and are definitely smart enough to learn how to write lyrics proficiently. Cocona is a very intellectual person, reads a lot of books, and does a lot of self journaling. (Ik this from the blogs that she posts) Things like that will translate well when she starts becoming more fluent in English and writing lyrics as a solo artist later in her career.

At least XGALX and Simon have gave credit to most of the writers besides the ones that want to stay behind the scenes. Kanye is a real one when it comes to this, he never claimed to write all of his music and credits writers. He is still looked at as one of the greatest rappers of all time.

They are given context of what the rap and refrences are too. Also, the girls are very involved in the making of their set, styling, AND writing lyrics (as in they are learning)
