      Coachingbadminton-Korean definitely! Rather than aiming steeper all the time, which most of them suggested so, now I look at their weaker areas and variate my smashes in terms of position, steepness and speed of the shuttle. Thanks Lee!

    Coach Lee,
    I have been watching most of your videos quite often and happy to say that at this tender age of 63 yrs !! I could improve my badminton markedly. What makes your video clips more attractive and learner- friendly is the fact that you first explain the cons of a particular style/way of playing, explain its demerits, and then explain the right method of playing along with the rationale behind it and the pros of such playing.
    Thank you very much, Mr. Lee, for your dedication and devotion to impart excellent coaching and training to thousands of amateur players like me across the globe.
    Best wishes

    It is great to see you breaking down the strategies of a game sir. I think it becomes more of an ego issue when someone defends a powerful smash. But it is so important to keep a calm & cool head during a game.
    Playing hard is not always enough... playing smart also can save a game.

    Thanks Coach Lee. As a beginner, now I'm in total obsessed with your teaching videos. I found them very detailed and instructive. Helped me corrected many errors I learned from other videos before. This one no difference. I'm looking for a good way to practice net shot, and haven't found one of yours yet. Maybe something you can consider adding in future? Or maybe you've already have one, I can learn from? Thanks again.

    This is absolutely right.
    In reality, we have to be really fast to reach the shuttle and at the same time "feel" or peek what is our opponent's position. That should be the hardest part which only can be gained through experience/lots of practice.

    I enjoy, thanks. For me it usually takes less times, because most of players are more ready for left side, than I smash to the right and also it works when I don't cover the shuttle, so it goes higher. I know it because I still have the weak smash and need to find the place to smash carefully to win a point. Would you tell us how to be ready to defence it?

    Hi Lee
    I'm a great fan of yours.
    I'm having a big issue here for years.
    I can't hit a smash sometimes when I'm on the forehand side when playing doubles. I just feel like I'm not in the position to hit a smash. And if I force to hit a smash I'll ended smashing into the net. So I'm forced to clear the shuttle. But when I'm on my overhead side I can smash pretty hard.
    Please try to help. Thanks.
    Frankie

    • @coachingbadminton
      @coachingbadminton  7 років тому +1

      I think your impact point and steps are the reason why.
      Try everything to hit the shuttlecock in front of your body that will solve the issue. Lee

    • @coachingbadminton
      @coachingbadminton  7 років тому

      Yes , it is hard to defence. Try below.
      Get your posture low and put your racket about your chest height and move your base bit forther backward.
      It may work for you. But most importnat thing is your positiveness and challengeness to defend his smash. Lee

    • @coachingbadminton

      The best practice for you is to do a lot of shttlecock drills.
      Drop and net, drop and clear, drop smash and so on. If you do them a lot with good quality, you can improve a lot fast.
      No one do it well without practice, all you need to is good quality practice. Lee

      Thanks, the sound is working now. I'm not sure what the problem was before.
      Your videos are a great resource which have really helped me improve my badminton. I particularly appreciate that you explain in detail the reasoning behind each technique. Thank you!
