Also a great remark that I found in the comments thanks to 'TERAN0T' & 'BlueSolarEclipse' that drifting maintains your speed over dirt and uphills.
Lastly, concerning the car list at the end of the video; I know there are great cars in each series and by applying the 3 principles in this video you can enjoy driving almost any car in the game. But even though, there are still cars that are going to come on top and you will want to use these cars if you want to compete or play against highly skilled players.
For me the fun comes from winning in those non meta cars against skilled players, it feels far better knowing that it was my own skill that won me that race.. not the fact that I insta-selected the crutch65, but maybe that's just me.
V12 and Zonda are underrated.
SL Black is amazingly fast, you can stay at 280+ kph all the time without using NOS. I’ve even beaten hyper series races with it. It’s very good for performing microdrifts and the gear ratios are perfect for NOS. Definitely my favourite car in the game.
I would say that this car has bored everyone. It doesn't drive, it levitates.
This car breaks Super series completely. In other series you can at least fight for something but not there. If you gonna pick up any car besides SL65 you're gonna lose to entire lobby cuz everyone just picks this stupid car. Some idiots even think that they're better than you just because they got you in a finish line.

on god fuck the black series, literally broken it has 0 downsides and just floats at top speed even while cornering
i do love using the v12 vantage or m6 tho as i can still beat most drivers in the black series using them as they are also really good for the series, but if 2 players are equal the black series will always win
It handles like a pig I like use the V12 vantage feels like a feather so much better to handle
Sometimes using a Meta car isn’t always the key to winning. I’ve been playing Hot Pursuit since 2012 (Original and Remastered plus like 5 or more different playthroughs on a couple of different devices excluding the mobile version which I have played), and One thing I can say is that no matter what car you you choose, always make sure to steer clear from everyone else, and immediately go onto oncoming traffic. From there just avoid traffic and pray a car doesn’t spawn in front of you. Also, make sure to be oncoming when drifting. Never drift too close to railings or else you’re going to slow down majorly. And I mean may-jor-leeweee. Like Zombie says, save nitrous for straights, and its best to always use it oncoming so that it not only keeps you going a bit longer but it also makes it easier for you to predict when to move out of oncoming traffics way and sometimes its fun to push a car to make it stop when someone’s tailing on you. I don’t play online much but I can assure you people are going to go straight for Meta cars (Zonda Cinque, GT2RS, Viper, McLaren F1, Gumpert Apollo S, SL65 AMB BS, etc), but it doesn’t matter what you pick, just remember to manage your drifts wisely, microdrifts help a lot, and always nitrous oncoming, hoping you know how to predict traffic.
Note: oncoming not necessary as police. Nitrous recharge is passive and doing that doesn't speed it up.

@@dreadhavoc Not the complete opposite. The only things that speed up recharge are slipstream, (not oncoming) near misses, and taking shortcuts. Everything else has no effect. Note: "speeds up recharge"; police nitrous will recharge automatcally when driving at least 100 km/h.

Good tutorial, in contrast to the past you have dealt with the game much more. You explain the relevant game mechanics well and clearly. To get better and faster, this tutorial is a good basis.
Your ranking should include the respective route. 911 Turbo, Zonda and CCX can be faster than #1 on your list depending on the track.
Definitely Viper is not the fastest car in Exotics series. But one of the fastest especially on tracks with sharp turns. But on half the tracks not only Zonda and Porsche can beat it but Aston Martin and Lamborghini Diablo too.
some people don't know this but you should mention how drifting uphills can save your speed and drifting over dirt as well

I've spent this whole time going heavy on the wheel and the car just won't lose grip without losing speed.
Devs should've add into remaster competitive mode with ranks and stuff. The ranking system would motivate to play and would separate newbies from amateurs and pros.

amazes me how a game with simple mechanics could have such high skill sealing, i self taught myself the micro drift and nitroing to upshift trick but theres alot more that i learnt here
Good video! Until now, I haven't realized how much detail goes into driving well in NFS. It just shows that even though NFS is considered a "casual-racing franchise", it still requires a lot of skill and situational awareness(especially in cops vs racers) to become a good driver.

Really informative. I knew all of them except the micro drifts. I didn't know they would help you. Actually I kinda did cuz they make you gain nitrous and ye. But still, it must've been hard to record each shot. You put a lot of effort into this amazing video :)

Another tip while using NOS if you feel like when you are drifting and about to hit a corner, its better to use it NOS to avoid hitting it rather than hit it and lose a lot of speed which is what I usually do.
I've also used it to push myself forward and avoid traffic in certain cases, if I can't normally drift outta the way.
Note: no need to stay at oncoming lane as police since the nitrous recharges passively and doing so doesn't speed up the recharge.
I have an advice for all the kids who are watching this:

man forgot about the Vantage V12 .. that car can drift in a straight line lmao. also, a good tip is that any car as long as you start the drift on the road, you wont lose speed while drifting in off road. honestly though.. the Vantage V12 is a prime car for having fun while racing. I have beaten several decently skilled AMG Black SL65's in online races with the V12. its not the best, but with practice, you can make it look like it.

v12 underrated asf on god, tho for me my sleeper is the m6 i beat so many black series in it lol it has such fantastic nitro and micro drifting with some of the best top speed in the series

one thing i will also say is that you don't have to always pick the meta cars for fun and easy wins, you can pick most cars in this game and do well if you employ these tips and tricks in your gameplay. i main the Murcielago and can hold my own against opponents of a similar skill level who are in meta cars

One other thing I noticed is that if you use your NOS just as you are about to exit a drift you can gain insane speed in every car. And always remember to splitstream in normal races. Be careful of splitstreaming in Hot Pursuit though, as the racer in front of you may be a dick or you may accidentally get caught in his attempt to stop a cop
Excellent video bro, but there is an interpretation mistake. The NOS is not stronger on some vehicles. Rather it is the weight of the car. This is explained more easily comparing the weight of the McLaren and the Veyron. All the Bugattis are war tank.
Literally in the game files cars are defined by values for stronger/weaker nos…. If your logic was correct then the zonda wouldnt have weaker nos than the ACR…
@@TsEnksx1 It's not just the values. Apparently, this game is more realistic than it appears to be. There are many factors that alter the efficiency of the car. Specifically we talk about aerodynamics, weight and torque in combination with the NOS. The ultimate test is the Alfa Romeo 8C from the performance series. You will realize that it accelerates like hell, but in the curves it is a terrible option. I know this because I have played with all the cars trying not to use the most common cars for average players. It is more complex than the values, it seems that the programmers took all the factors into account bro.

Micro drifts are what I struggle with. As far as I am aware, I am number two in the world according to speed run's website for seacrest tour. I want to get under 9 minutes, but man micro drifting is weird

It depends for need for speed the run I use L1 and R1 for braking/accelerating because my controller R2 trigger stopped working and I still use it

So ZOMBIEHEAD, I know these tactics but still thanks for making the video, only prob is I can’t avoid walling and randomly tapping traffic cars which obv is a major nail in the coffin. I play on console. What should I do?
Get better. I have no problem and I play on ps4
My advice is to try to understand the traffic spawn. I played this since 2010, NFS has a standard pattern mostly so you can kind of "predict" traffic.
To prevent the walls, try to learn yourself to go from outside to inside in corners. It gives you more chances to recover and adjust your angle mid corner to prevent it.
Also, dont be afraid to use your handbrake mid corner to tighten your corner more. You might lose speed, but with drift recovery and nitro use on exit, the speed loss is minimal
Other than that, try to adjust your driving style and practice with the Rapid Response missions. Those are great training!

So I have two questions:

Actually the Reventon suck. The Lambo LP640 has the best balance of stats for a Lambo (excluding elemento/diablo) Go try the elemento in the sand at 3 point road. Then try the LP640.
Cop's raw acceleration is increased by 25% and the NOS is increased by 50%. The rest is fairly identical to the racer car aside of course, their top speed.
The Reventon score 4th place overall for offroad. Diablo is 2nd, LP640 is 1st the Dodge Viper is 3rd (some other cars are also 3rd, 4th...) Oh and the Lambo 670-4 is the worst car offroad, scoring 6th place.

needed this, but for the drift do you slow down before the turn? find myself still going to fast with just "tapping" brrake and having to pop e brake
Usually it's best to go as fast as you can going into a corner without slowing down. It won't be every corner that you want to burn your Nos before entering, but knowing which corners not to will take time and practice.
It wasn't easy for me either to not rely on e-brake and switch to normal brake. It may help if you use a visual cue like a sign or a tree, to know when to tap brake.
If you're struggling with a certain corner, you can look for any object and use it to know when to brake. For example, "I passed this tree or I'm about to pass this pole. Time to brake." It also greatly comes down to practice and knowing the handling of the car you chose. Hope this helps.

Where do the Bugattis rank amongst them?
Excellent Choice for Hot Pursuit Races. They can tank much more damage than the McLaren. Also, I think in a Hot Pursuit it doesn't really matter which car you pick. It's usually very chaotic and the extra NOS and Rubberband keeps the grid together. In MW and Races it can be a bit more important to have a good car, but still, Rubberband and Extra NOS keeps the field glued.
The Bugattis in Hot Pursuit modes are a freaking tank considering they are the most heavy hyper cars to drive on. The F1 however can be used for speedrun races in which you don't need to destroy the cops using excessive force on your McLaren lmao.
Bugattis also have longest nitrous bar and can be hard to reach top speed unless if you are in a straight road.
Then in that case, what of the Apollo?

Actually, ZombieHead3000, drive the Maserati Quattroporte in the Performance class. This is the best car in the class. It has amazing drift angle and recovery. The nos acceleration is amazing and can reach a top speed of 211MPH with nos. Trust me, try it out for yourself.
Quattroporte is fast at straight line, but Gran Turismo is better on corners
As if beating my friends in a race in NFS HP Remasters online having never played that multiplayer before definitely surprised the crap out of them, now they're not going to be able to touch me once nail this new strategy, LMAO.

@@wzard3156 that's a bad argument. They could be different in such a way that it still works. The driving physics in Project Cars 2 and Assetto Corsa are different and made by different devs, but the same techniques to drive faster work in both. Ergo different games being made by different devs and with different physics doesn't preclude the same techniques from working in all of them.
I've tried the micro drift in Rivals and it works, so you're wrong about Rivals so far.
Rivals: Worked almost the same, albeit need slower speed due to the car are slightly heavier than HPR.
Payback: I didn't know
Heat: It has different physics as the game become grippier than before
It kind of works in rivals, it's going to be less satisfying though
(nfs hp noob here) i see so many people ranking the f1 as faster than cars like the veyrons and the ccxr despite the game stating that these cars have higher top speeds, is this because top speeds shown in the garage don't correlate to actual top speed? does this aspect of being "faster" include going through corners? is there even a stat ingame that measures that? is it just that certain cars rely more on nitro? i'm confused
Like any racing game, forget the stats and test drive the cars themselves to get an accurate assessment. Yes, it does though F1's potent nitrous is the bigger factor. Indirectly: weight. But like the rest of the stats, not a reliable indication of performance. All cars rely on nitro, but their potency varies (another reason to test drive them).

I would say the Gumpert is better because that car is OP as hell in the Hyper Class. You drift that car, and your top speed will get back up again.
@@ralphlorenzperolino3054 gumpert is good, but veyron is better both irl and in the nfs hp 2010. Despite it being 1888kg( which is alot for a hypercar, but its needed to this car cause it keeps it on track, otherwise it wouldve flied away due to it having too much power on all 4 wheels) it can manuver very well, handles very well even without the esp off. You can even see the fifth gear episode when Tuff( i dont remember that legends name rn) reviewing rhe veyron on a track with and without esp, also the top gear episodes when they tested both the grand sport and supersport version of veyron in their track and they did very well comparing them to other hupercars that they weight around 1100-1400kg. So i dont get it why its so much hated because it "cant track". It might understeer a bit bc its an awd car and all awd cars tend to understeer but that dosent make it a bad car. Anyways stay safe man 😀
@@lear_dtm I'm sorry but it's not. Veyron is definitely fast but not the fastest. They are a freaking war tank when it comes to Hot Pursuits. In Races, you have a chance of losing a gold medal if you drive that car, because other racers would just destroy you easily.
The F1 however is a better choice because it refills nitrous faster than the Bugattis, plus, longest nitrous usage, and can drift like Takumi's AE86. This also happens to the Gumpert as well, ranging at a top speed of 223 MPH but it's one of the fastest hypers along with the CCX. The rest are just average.
