@@sinistergeek my thoughts exactly but he addresses this around 36:00; how dangerous enlightenment is - his variant at least. Basically man is plunged into something hellish even from his standpoint. Frankly I dread his kind of 'enlightenment' - and if he's right, there's no other kind. A bit of a pickle. On the one hand, forget about 'getting to the core of this thing yearning for eternity called life' on the other - something worse than annihilation.

@Icy_cool AS a matter of fact, I don't have the slightest clue of what you are sprouting....TIME & SPACE are not just manifestations of mind, but they are physical entities, mental perception of such entities are manifestation of perception. if MIND IS A MYTH as your mentor UGK says & if it is taken seriously the very human existence becomes a figment of pure imagination, without mind, there can be no brain or vice versa, mind is external stimuli, whereas brain is physical manifestation of the mind. if mind is a myth, the physical world we perceive through the agency of mental perception by using our brains would be just empty space.!! because mind being a myth, any external perception would be a myth too. human progress intellectually, & mentally would be unthinkable through a mythical mind. human race & its evolution through the ages has been possible only through the human brain & its concomitant the mind, human race would have remained in a vegetative state had not brain & mind played their mutual role of cognitive perception....if you cannot digest my use of big words, it is your inadequacy of mind, rather to put it more meaningfully, your mental myth. nobodyn

My takes on applying the wisdom of UG. I believe our self identity is created in the mind by our society, we don’t even have a choice, we are all given an identity in childhood, and this in itself is an illusion. Now that you are operating solely on thoughts and your self image, which is all a mental concept, You will need your mind to free yourself from the illusion you were born into. Once your mind is free of illusions, stop asking, and start living spontaneously in the now.

There's no real emptiness of mind in this conversation, only turmoil, constant brewing. It's funny, I had that experience a lot, being interrupted at the exact point when a truly finite and helpful thought entered my mind, and it used to drive me crazy - to the point that I decided that that was my fate, and that perhaps I was ramming my head against an invisible but quite solid boundary of my reality, and that I'd better not try to break free, unless I wanted all hell to break lose... true, I have been some sort of a climate fighter for many years and it's pointless. No one want's to even recognize the issue towards the very root, human kind is too fragmented away from the connection towards nature and each other, and busy within the conditioning of ignorant and selfish behavior with no intent to transform itself worthy of the very name "civilization", (based upon divide and conquer principles and the very competitive base this "society" is build upon)
let alone thinking around soft landing approaches, like thinking and acting around population control, re-evaluation and self reflection of our planet eating cultural habits, caring and tolerating one another differences, and many more things
I managed to experiment on my own and succeeded towards some form of de-conditioning from culture, and answer, but then you are seen as some kind of nut freak ready for some asylum at best. (I can not recommend anyone doing the same;)
You can call mankind whatever you want, but it's behaving like just another self-destructive virus, trying to eat it's host away without the slightest attempt towards an equilibrium and survival of both (like some organisms and even animals do).
Don't worry in a way, earth and nature will get what they want, too bad for human kind with all their "intelligence", or lack there of in regards towards some self reflection.

I'm a creative myself, and I got to recognize this (around originality and thinking). Most things are based on what you know, or as a reaction towards some input provided. If anything original occurs, it's most likely based on some accident based on solving a whole other problem as originaly intended searching for.

It's spontaneous. Imagination draws from the depths of the mind... so deep that you don't know what you don't know what you know.
It's an accident insofar as we stumble upon it unconsciously. But your brain doesn't have 'creative solutions' stored up in the first place. The 'solution' IS the process.

In reality, there is no one to claim as “I” at all! It’s all spontaneous simultaneous happenings just here and now leaving no trace of memory or knowledge moment to moment.. That would mean that sometime before the happening it was planned out ahead of time.I dont see the physical laws as seperate from the particles of which they "control". I dont see a seperation between the noun and the verb.

His endgame is practically contextlessness. Devoid of a reference point. He say's it simply, and english is not his primary language, compound that with the insufficiency of language, and it's easy to see why needy believers have a hard time inserting what he says into their framework. His talk on origins is textbook Agrippa's Trillema, and Jed Mckenna broke it down best. "Agrippa's Trilemma is the three-legged stool of delusion. Meaning no matter your cultural framework - or your belief set, your religion et al - One generally adheres to these three.
Behold the egg, it came from a chicken. Behold the chicken, it came from an egg. The question, as we all know, is which came first? And what came before that? And what came before that? And what came before that? And so on. Forever.
In timespace, consensus reality, everything that exists must have a beginning - a time before which it wasn't, and after which it was - and something from which it came; a source or cause, a precursor or progenitor. Anything that exists must have been created, anything that stands must stand on something. Any structure must have a foundation to hold it up, but when we look to see what's holding up the structure of our reality, we find three illogical impossibilities; Infinite Structure, Self-Supporting Structure, and Magic Structure.
Infinite Structure is bottomless. There is no final, all-supporting support, just endless, unsupportable support. Every new sub-level we insert to support the one above requires another one below. That's infinite regression, and it's turtles all the way down.
Self-Supporting Structure is where the foundation hangs from the structure it supports. You can say, for instance, that you know that God exists because the Bible says so, and the Bible must be right because it's the word of God. That's the circular reasoning fallacy; every chicken came from an egg and every egg came from a chicken. And so on. Forever.
Magic Structure is when we say fk it, we all see the stupid chicken, it obviously came from somewhere, so let's just say there's a Miracle Egg and leave it at that. That's the axiomatic fallacy, where we insist on a magical foundation - God, the Big Bang, the Great Turtle - and move on.
And there you have it. Those are the three horns of Agrippa's Trilemma - infinite regression, circular reasoning, the axiomatic fallacy - which falsify the very possibility of objective knowledge. The trilemma part is that, unless you can completely ignore the question of being, like a dog does, you have to settle for one of the three, and then employ doublethink to forget the fact that everything you know is based on a lie."

    • @coldfuture9
      @coldfuture9 8 років тому +8

What he fails to communicate, or what I fail to interpret from what he's saying, is that Self can be separated and killed without dying physically. It is the Self that exalts the Guru and declares the teaching sacred. It is the Self, that carries the weight of its own imperfections. It is the Self that is convinced there is a problem and something needs to be fixed. The Self must find the explosive force necessary to destroy itself. All thought is destructive. It's a process of negation, and the self must be pushed by suicidal discontent and not pulled by desire.
In the end, UG Krishnamurti has no need for these concepts, these structures of thought, nor does he really have the desire to communicate it. But to the Self looking to incinerate itself in the fire, it will require a framework or a conceptual space to fight this war. It's the gateless-gate paradox. The awakened being is of a different order of being than the unawakened, that's where the gap of communication is coming from.

Probably slightly off topic, but as you mention "Behold the egg" ........
      Eggs...
Ask anyone - scientist, politician, economist, space researcher, corporate high flier, army general, dictator, secret service agent, terrorist, religious advocate, lawyer, accountant, inventor, IT technician, engineer, industrialist, real estate agent, architect, artist, antiques dealer, ecologist, historian, professor, man in the street, yes, even chicken farmers, egg suppliers and vegetarians: "What came first, the chicken or the egg?" and the answer is: "No idea".
Tell them you're trying to work it out and they tell you: "You're wasting my time, and yours". Some might even think you're crazy and you should be locked up. Now ain't that funny, everyone claims to have answers for anything and everything, but not a single one has an answer for this very simple question. Of course I don't either, that is why I'm asking this question to any one of all those people who know all about Life and use that "authority" to force their own "eggs" down everyone's throat.
So what's the point wrecking your brain over something nobody can answer and I dare add: "Never will...?
Well, simple: We, the human race, know absolutely nothing. Yeah sure, we know how to add 2+2, do mathematics, count money, construct obscene corporate city skylines, even metal monsters to dig up soil, bulldoze forests, fly in the air, we can build dams and divert rivers, drill hundreds of meters under ground, into the ocean floor, blow up mountains with dynamite, build trucks, trains and cargo ships to move things back and forth from one place to another and back to the first place, etcetera, etcetera, even make bullets, bombs and missiles to kill, maim, destroy people, wildlife, anything that's not convenient.
There's no limit to what we can do, except explain the simple egg - the simple egg which not only holds the secret to a pending miracle, but provides food for everything from animals to people, as eggs come in abundant quantities to provide both new Life as well as Earth population sustainability - there's chicken eggs, duck eggs, in fact all birds lay eggs, as well as fish, crocodiles, snakes, ants and even micro organisms that work 24/7 to provide the rich top soil for growth that we so relentlessly move away to dig up gold, metal, coal, and build concrete monstrosities on that are going to come down again after their limited life due date.
Yes, the humble egg not only comes in its perfectly engineered shape and contents, it falls of trees by the millions every day in the shape of nuts of all kinds, some to produce new shade shrubs and canopy trees, some for the birds and critters who out of gratitude distribute them over a big wide area, and what is left is for the micro workers in the ground who tirelessly chew it and grind it into a rich soil where all those things start thriving like: vegetables, fruit, medicines, beautiful flowers for the bees so you can have honey on your bread while you gaze at the magic colour schemes from your cane chair on your front porch. All this industrious activity ensures that all the magic continues to get better and better, so that Life on Earth gets better and better for everyone concerned.
But hey! Hang on a minute! "We're not like them" - meaning that we have brains that can make it all work much better, all we need to do is dig a bit here and there, grind it to bits and pieces, see what it's made of and mix it up with one thing or other, then we sit back and watch what happens, if it looks good, we can mass produce it to make everyone's life easier. If it doesn't, well that's life for some and the end for the unlucky guinea pigs - there's plenty, they breed like rabbits anyway. Some people even predicted a few hundred years ahead that we could fly, as has now been proven to be correct. And fly we do, from London to Paris, to Rome, Washington, Tel Aviv, Moscow, Beijing, Tokyo, not always successful, but we're all having a great time... well... almost all, some of us are plowing up the top soil and sow it full of chemicals to produce the fuel to keep the others flying... both, the bodies and the machines.
Then there's God. Yes, God, the Creator of Life of whom we all know everything, except how he, she, or it, made the egg - or was it the chicken. Well, how about we all have our own God, then we can have more diversity and study groups that can all work on the problem in their own findings, write it all down and then dispose of all these groups one by one, until the one who's got all the answers emerges as the winner... just like the more subtle corporate system. Then we make pyramid style hierarchies with layers of underdogs over underdogs and we all kneel to the almighty up the top, who knows everything... except who came first, the chicken or the egg.
Wouldn't it be nice... for humanity, animals, the ecosystem, environment the fresh air and the clean rivers if we all admitted that we're not God, we don't know who or what God is... unless we can answer that simple question: "What came first, the chicken or the egg". Until then, the only feasible option we have is to accept the miracle we cannot explain, get on with educating each other not to breed like rabbits and destroy each other and our Planet in the process, live and work cooperatively towards a Life where everyone can dance to the rhythm, smell the scent of the forests and flowers, breathe the fresh air and let the chickens lay their eggs in a cruelty free environment and without chemicals and genetic modification, pretty much as everything else, like it was designed in the first place.

They r all seeking, wanting life with only pleasure, satisfaction and no pain. This man has understood and axcepted his nothingness and his audience expect to have his experience. There's no teaching from UG.All we know is what we were taught by whatever culture we were born into. Then by interacting with other cultures we share intel.Every life form has a unique life experience. Why so many different forms of religion? There exist an intelligent force we call life.It create the body,it is with the body,it guides this body,it provides for this body, it protects the body, heals the body and recycles the body. We have to understand and accept we cannot visit nature. We r nature.I am grateful for hearing this man's way of interacting.
