There’s a detail about this episode that fulfilled a previous foreshadowing in the earlier episodes. When Marty gives the girl the money and says to do something else, Rust asks “Are you making a down payment?” Years later he ends up screwing her. Just shows regardless of Marty’s good intentions, he was still fated to give into his sexual urges and do exactly what he didn’t like seeing her doing. It’s one of those things in this show that falls in line with the “Time is a flat circle” theme.
I think the broken tail light on Rust's truck is from when he threw Marty against it during their fight. That's probably why the episode ends on that shot.
I thinks that broken tail light shows us that Rust dont care about his Truck or the broken light. He has other important Things to do over the Years. So he dont have Time to fix it.
@@Mirage_-ls4gf it's more of a metaphor. he left it that way because his relationship with Hart is still broken (when they had their fight that light ended up broken, representing their entire partnership falling apart). he still needs to fix things with Hart, so he won't repair the light until so.

I think Marty talked up Rust during the 2012 interview because he regrets how he cheated on Maggie and directed his anger at Rust. Not so fun fact. The woman that has the multiple SIDS cases I think was based on a true story of a woman named Mary Beth Tinning who was doing the same thing to her kids. It only became apparent when she had adopted a young boy and he ended up dying of SIDS initially, but there was evidence of abuse that went unnoticed in the beginning. It's a sad case and I would be surprised if there wasn't some inspiration for that scene from it.

Season 2 didn't fail. You said yourself how grand season 1 was and it's true, but it was impossible to live up to that. If you don't compare it to the first one, the second season is great tv. Also the how is not cancelled. They are already working on a new season.
I never took Marty putting down his his gun and badge before the fight as something he did so he didn't go too far. To me it was simply because you want to fight as loose as possible. You don't want to fight with heavy weight or with a tie on so you can be choked, etc. I don't think of Marty as a hot head though. Other than the shooting of Reggie Ladue, his temper never really got out of control. It was always like a controlled rage or calculated.
There is a lot going on that you will be clued in early in the next episode but the timeline has caught up to current. There is really nothing else going on other than here we are at this moment.
Watching this season for the third time now through your eyes and, yes, it's fucking awesome. Simple as that. Can I suggest you check The Leftovers? It kinda has the same vibe, though it's quite different.
So that scene where he tells that child killing psycho chick to kill herself was probably the most brutally honest moment in television history for me lol. He just come right out with it, essentially saying. Your life will be hell from here on out. Might as well end it. . . .dark, but fair
I've always felt that he said that to her to make sure, at the end, she knew he wasn't on her side and had never been on her side. In order to get the confession he had to appear sympathetic. But once he had the confession he removed even that "lifeline" of sympathy because he was actually disgusted by her and her crime.

3. Re-animator it’s great.I highly recommend.(no confusing order to watch in)
Season 1 of true detective was so grand, that the 2nd season they tried too hard and failed miserably. It was awful. 3rd season was just ok. Good acting and cool ideas for the characters, but the show was canceled for a reason. They set the bar too high on season 1. Nothing could match it
Season 2 didn't fail.
He definitely put his stuff up so he wouldn’t kill rust out of rage
There is a lot going on that you will be clued in early in the next episode but the timeline has caught up to current. There is really nothing else going on other than here we are at this moment.
Daniel made me laugh so hard at 13:41
Another series to consider: 1st season of The Amerikans- about 1980’s spy family.
When Marty and Rust visit Dora Lange mother they see pictures of men in horses with animal faces. Clue
Just like Tony Montana. There's no lying in Cole.
Watching this season for the third time now through your eyes and, yes, it's fucking awesome. Simple as that.
Can I suggest you check The Leftovers? It kinda has the same vibe, though it's quite different.
Yes! ... Up before midnight ... Thank you!
Thanks guys .
You guys should react to the TV series Banshee.
We have already met the shiny scars man...
You got to wonder, who the hell names their kid Rust?
To be fair his real name is “Rustin” not much better though lol
well, go back to the first episode, remember Rust did not want to know his wife and family. It will hit a little more with Maggie using him.
This first season of true detective is the best as opposed to the rest of the franchise.
If you don’t do season two, please do season three.
The last episodes are amazing
I hate the fact that she used Rust and no one calls her on it except him.
SIDS can happen twice. And has.
