The SRAW always re-fixates to your last position when you die while in ADS. It's just not that often that all the stars align and the missile has the space to turn around without hitting anything, the time to make it back, and actually manages to hit anyone dumb enough to still be standing on a fresh enemy corpse. However this guy was into that teabag like it was his full-time job...
+Michael Hagood Think about logic, A .50cal sniper has a bigger barrel and takes longer to lad and has more power, a .50cal on a tank has a smaller barrel but to make up for damage it uses speed unlike the sniper.
AlexPlayz Lol wut? They both use the .50 BMG round, and barrel lengths vary model to model but they are generally pretty similar. Your comment has no point, I understand it's for balance reasons, but we aren't talking about that. Realistically rate of fire makes no difference. A semi-auto .50 sniper or a full-auto .50 HMG. It's the same bullet at roughly the same velocity so no matter what, if it hits you, you're gonna have a bad time.
Dude, that is how railguns work. They shoot projectiles with electromagnetic force instead of ignition. So pretty much, every time you kill someone with the railgun pickup you're just punching a huge hole through them
Well, you're going to need ignition of some kind to get the projectile going. Maybe a piston, but that would take up too much room, and it would be easier to have a regular primer and explosive. Why? Well because even if the project was in between the rails, flicking the switch isn't going to get it moving. The sabot has just completed the circuit, now to take advantage of the magnetic field, the projectile is going to need a boost before the rails will actually move it.
Mattias Byheden When you send a current through a rail, the sabot completes the circuit, to take advantage of the magnetic force on this small scale, the rounds need to be explosively injected.
I think the "railgun" is technically a gauss gun, btw. Also, that's not a normal shell being loaded, it's a pointy, single piece of metal with no primer or propellant, like a sabot round without the sabot.
Gauss guns don't *really* exist, it's more of a buzzword, in reality, what everyone calls a Gauss gun is a Coilgun. If they say it's a Railgun, it's a Railgun, without seeing it's internals, there is no way to otherwise classify it. Either way, Coilguns and Railguns both operate under the same basic principle, electromagnets used to launch a projectile. This does a decent job of explaining the differences www.skepticink.com/smilodonsretreat/2014/04/08/railguns-vs-coilguns/
***** I'm aware of the difference, gauss gun just sound cooler. Railguns launch the projectile of a bracket being accelerated along a rail. The bracket then comes to a stop and the projectile keeps moving.
But commentaries are way better than streams I remember them old bad company 2 days where he would upload 30 minute gameplays commentated that was like an instant orgasm streams are too long and he often times doesnt evens say anything
I don't think you know what a Gauss gun really is, please go do some research (Spoiler alert, a Gauss gun is a Coilgun, and it wouldn't need a "normal shell").
That SRAW shot. Ultimate Karma. And people, The Rorsch X1 has 8 rounds to start off (I think, I haven't had the opportunity to pick up a copy of the game yet) the 50 cal has much more ammo than that. Not only that it is a semi automatic rifle, and it doesn't need the charge. If you are an Usopp 2.0 and you can hit every shot, you can effortlessly rack up more kills than with the Railgun. The Rorsch X1 is probably more balanced than anything else in the game. Trading massive power for extremely hindering requirements to utilize that power. I'm sorry but if you somehow get caught in CQC with the Rorsch in hand you *will* have to switch weapons, and chances are you won't be able to get that weapon out in time (unless your opponent is a terrible shot) and you will not be able to get off a shot with the Rorsch in time (Again; unless your opponent is a crap shot) and if you miss, you're fucked (Unless your opponent is absolute shit) :/
sir kibble- neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd
The idea of a rifle-sized railgun firing conical-bullet-shaped rounds completely makes sense. It's just shaped like a bullet, not actually a bullet. It's probably a Tungsten alloy projectile. I felt the need to comment on this because for some reason Badger's remark on the projectile fired by the railgun really bothered me for no apparent reason.
HD Gaming530 lol if you have a big metal object in the shape of a bullet. And you put very strong electromagnets in a certain "shape", and you turn em on it will act like a gun. Only no recoil should be present
Depending on the amount of force exerted by the actual launching of the projectile via electromagnetism, I could see that having a decent amount of recoil. The only real-life examples of a railgun firing that I've ever seen though are the videos displaying test footage of one. I haven't actually experienced the use of one in person. I doubt there are many people who can legitimately claim to have been around when one was used.
the rocket came back because some part of the guy that killed you was in front of your launcher at the exact moment you died, so the rocket came back. The only real luck is that he stayed in that place.
Thinking about it, I think they're fine. I mean think about it in real life. Being hit by a .50 cal round rips through the body should be a 1 shot. I doubt they would make an animation of it tearing one of your limbs off and your character still alive. The rail gun.... Come on! A gun using super magnets to fire a projectile at around mach 5-10 should definitely kill you. Especially in maps as big as battlefield. If the maps were hundreds of miles long then people can complain about it. 0;
Railguns work by electricity running pass rails throughout the barrel, which in turn propels the dart forward because its like a powerful magnet. Hence the name "rail gun" . SOBOT rounds work in a similar way but instead of electricity it uses the normal gun powder. Sobot rounds for tanks dont need explosives because the momentum and velocity it is traveling at is so great that it just slices through armor like a bullet vs butter.
In between the two parallel rails, both of the magnetic fields due to the rails pointing in the same direction and make a stronger magnetic field. This magnetic field then pushes on the projectile with the current running through it to propel it out of the railgun. The projectile can be anything as long as it fits in between the parallel rails, so if a bullet can fit it will shoot.
How Rail Gun's work is that it will shoot the primer which will launch the bullet a bit, and then along the barrel there is electromagnet's which turn on then off extremely fast as the bullet travels past them, which launches the bullet faster and faster until it leaves the barrel, launching the bullet and a very very fast FPS (I believe around 6000 FPS but I'm not sure). The primer is there to send the bullet through the barrel, that's it

for those who don't play battlefield or any source engine games with rpgs, the reason WHY it came back, was because the weapon he used (the SRAW) heads in the direction your crosshair's at, more specifically, the closest thing to you in the middle of your screen, in which the teebager was in the middle of the death cam, and since the rocket was still deployed, it though he was still aiming, hence the U-turn and, then BOOM. basically, the mechanics of the gun's projectile worked post-death...
This is the first Badger video i remember watching, i might have seen some before, but I vividly laughing my ass of on this video all this time ago. I am here in rememberence, and hence it shalt be known that BF4 came back, with might, delivered by thy BF2042.
So railgun’s can have a primer, the railgun part is the barrel which has a magnetic field that pulls the bullet and allows the bullet to speed up in the barrel.
I do like the fast that the railgun has instant bullet travel, and you can not necessarily get kills, but it can still knock a helicopter out of the sky.
I haven't played CTE, so forgive me if this is obvious in those servers, but when Badger is playing on the Final Stand maps, his mini-map is much larger than usual, while the rest of his HUD remains the normal size. Is that one of the HUD customization options being added?
10 років тому
Yep you can change the HUD size in individual parts... Check Chris' Battlenonsense videos and they will explain everything going on on CTE :)
I don't think DICE would overlook something like railguns not needing a casing or powder charge. I think it's intentional, it has a small powder charge that gives the projectile a running start, where the rails then accelerate it to its full velocity. It's a lot more efficient than having the rails "pull" it from a standing position and probably helps with the power consumption problems these types of systems would have. They're using it on the current naval cannons being researched. It's called 'pre-injecting' or something.
What looks to be the problem with the RORSCH to me is that it seems to do way too much damage to air vehicles, considering how fast the 'bullet' travels.
My theory on that GOAT SRAW shot is that since you were aiming it when you died it kept you on that. Your body also does a 10/10 spin flip and must have fallen pointing directly on the spot where the guy was teabagging. That would explain the boomerang effect. Such an epic karma is a bitch homegril though. I love it.
I'll agree with badger here. Although i will admit that the stupidly high bullet velocity means that you don't have to factor in bullet drop or any kind of lead on a target unless they're in a heli or something, which could be considered potentially OP
A railgun can fire any type of metal depending on its size so of you were to shove a bullet in a railgun it would shoot all of the bullet and leave nothing left also the sniper bullet that was in that railgun would also grow so hot it would melt steel

Rail guns work by accelerating a projectile via magnets that is kick-started by a charge So if that bullet was made of steel or had a steel jacket, or other steel parts it would work.
The m82 does fairly well against light armor like transport jeeps, etc. and super great against ground forces like you said. But the "railgun" shoots a 62 cal round that is charged by EM thus is kind of like the m82 but no really.
The Rorsch feels more like an anti-vehicle weapon in my eyes. Sure, it has some serious destructive power against personnel, but the long rechamber is akin to that of a rocket launcher or anti-tank rifle, and does not let you take out enemies in rapid succession, like a sniper rifle would.
