Translated by a bear ! "some people leave cause they dont love you anymore, and some people leave cause they don't love themselves anymore" (reference to suicide)
I agree that Lara is able to give nothing but a magnificent performance. I am constantly surprised by the buildup in her vocals. Like waves, they rise, crash, recede, & rise again even more powerfully - unless she pivots to a softer, quieter delivery which becomes even more impressively & exquisitely overwhelming. She is simply the best. Thank you for this reaction.
It is a song about someone who wants to end his life, she’s talking to someone who wants to leave this life for good, there is an error in the translation of what she’s saying in the beginning, it’s not « because they don’t love each other anymore » it’s « because they don’t love themselves anymore »
This is one of my favorite Lara songs, it has every element I could ask for and then some. Others have already corrected the intro, which is critical to understanding the song. It's not about a break up, it's about suicide. Her musical, lyrical and melody skills shine so bright on such a dark, difficult subject. This album and concert were her comeback after her time in America left her so broken she became suicidal. I think it's arguably her best album. This whole concert is a beautiful love fest between her and her fans, which you will see in the incredible video of Je T'aime, a must react video that is different from every other video you will ever react to. The other one that's a must see for any reactor is Tango. You will see what she can really do from a seated position! It's extraordinary! Thank you for another wonderful Lara reaction. There's no other reactor who's such an equal to Lara's talent. My only complaint is the chosen video. I would always put quality of video over having a translation, every time. Thank you for reacting to this performance, it deserves a lot more attention than it gets.
Yep that crack when the drums hit is annoying in this video I think for most Lara live concerts the versions of the channel Music Evolution are the best ones Except for From Lara with Love which Macadamia has done the best job
This song gets me every time. One of many favourits from her. Amazing performance. So much emotions. Thank you for a great video again. Cheers from a finn in Sweden.
A very heartfully sad song of our Beautiful Queen... She said on a interview that she wrote this song talking about herself, experiencing a hard time ❤
HI Sir Hairless ❤ Really love your reactions to Lara ❤ Pleace keep them coming, there are so many more ❤ It applies to the entire Neu concert that when black and white clips are shown, it is in slow motion, so not in real time with the actual timing of the music ❤ This song is actually about suicide, which Lara herself had had thoughts about when she wrote the song 😢 Another of the songs I really love from Lara is Göttingen (French) Here from her TLFM concert Live concert TLFM (fantastic) ua-cam.com/video/Ne4cBSdaOD8/v-deo.html&ab_channel=keysushi1 Or Lara with full head voice (and just piano (Pier Gremand)) Please notice that Lara only opens her eyes once and yet you (I) feel a deep connection. Else it Lara Fabian - I guess i loved you ( Live 4K - Un Regard 9 / 2006 ) ua-cam.com/video/eP21wTw6Jho/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MUSICEVOLUTION Or legendary performance from Lara, where she is very sensual bordering on erotic (sitting on a chair) Please notice Lara's last note, which merges with the guitar, so you can't hear when Lara ends and the guitar continues Lara Fabian - Dites-Moi Pourquoi Je L'aime (Lara uusing sensualiti) ua-cam.com/video/-85T-iR7dfc/v-deo.html Love Lara ❤ Love from Denmark ❤
This is the first time I watch this video and I agree that it’s another admirable performance by Lara; thank you very much for your also admirable analysis!🙏Based on what she said before starting the song, I understood the meaning of the lyrics as something much darker and deeper than “trials and tribulations” in a romantic relationship… in fact, I interpreted as a song about the total lack of motivation to keep going with life… a pretty heavy topic that Lara managed to cathartically translate into a poignant and beautiful musical performance🤍As Nietzsche once said, and I tend to agree: “Without music, life would be a mistake.”🎶
Yeah as others have commented she was apparently suicidal around this time after her return from America Very sad Shoutout to Nietzsche for the most accurate statement of all time 🎶
Hello Mr. Lara, a queen on stage, and above all she is loved by her audience. The proof is in watching the "je t'aime" from the same concert which is surely the most beautiful moment of a concert that I have ever seen 🙏
Amazing reaction video!!! Great balance between music knowledge/techniques/theory and permormance interpretation. Always glad to watch you!!! Please have a look at her performance in Yentl. That is an experience 360!!! ✌🏼
Thank you for this video, Sir Hairless. I love your Lara reactions so much. 🤎 This song is extremely emotional and raw and your analysis is, as always, perfection.
hello from France Mr Hairless ! I wanted to comment two points but one was already done : the translation of the second sentence. Pity it's wrongly translated because I believe many have missed the meaning of the song. Second, when you say that singing in French adds more effects because of the prononciation, that couldn't be done in English : I think that's because we have no stresses anywhere in our sentences or words as you do in English, we are able to stress whatever syllable wherever we want and then give the feeling we intended in an easier way. But that's only my thought, no scientific proof 😉😂. Thank you for a great réaction as usual. Take care 🙏🏻🇫🇷 PS: Lara sang while sitting on a chair during her very sensual song "Tango" ua-cam.com/video/9p1UrKzYti0/v-deo.htmlsi=NbydkLb2MiD9pR5_
Nice reaction to another beautiful Lara song and performance. As mentioned I'd really like to see your reaction to Yentel Medley performed live at the Molson Center in Montreal with her parents in attendence.
Very happy to have you revisit Lara. I know you have a suggestion of mine on your to do list (Comme Ils Dissent from her En Toute Intimite concert). I will go further and suggest you simply react to the whole concert! I may have mentioned that it is my favourite. Thank you once again.
This concert is simply amazing! Acoustic and intimate. Just a piano, a couple of violins, a cello and Lara’s stunning voice. No wonder why it is fans’ and Lara’s (herself) favourite as well.
Thank you for your passionating analysis on this heartbreaking song of our queen Lara ❤ Because of a small mistranslation, one doesn't understand immediately that this song is about suicide (some people leave us because they don't love themselves anymore) but Lara's interpretation leaves no room for doubt.
Bravo Sir H! Great review and reaction of this sad song! Many thanks for your superb analysis of Lara's emotional performance - brilliant as always! 💔👌🙏

Many reasons: copyright being the main one. That's why I offer a timestamp to skip ahead to for those who don't want to hear my thoughts ☺ If I play the whole song and then comment, and then the video gets blocked or taken down after publication - what's the point of putting time and effort into making the video? I also play clips usually for 1-2minutes at a time, which is risky as it is. For copyright infringement, it's recommended to have clips of no longer than 20-30seconds, as most other reactors do Unfortunately for us reactors, the public aren't aware of the numerous copyright complications (which is fine, I was the same until I started the channel). I know it's easy to complain about things people do but there's nearly always a reason; a 'method to the madness' You might also be interested to know that I have no say/power over any ads you get in this video, nor do I see any ad revenue from them, and therefore this video. Just like the vast majority of my videos, I see nothing financially from them. So I'm making them for the love of it and to keep viewers happy 🎵 There are thousands of reactors out there, and I'm sure some do play the clips in their entirety, so they'd be better suited for you. If you want to hear the song in full, I'd recommend watching the original video which I always link in the description. My videos are long in length compared to the songs, and I have analysis in the title, and I include a timestamp to try and avoid these comments complaining about pauses And finally, there is no objective 'better'. In your view, yes it would be better to play in full, but I've received thousands of comments stating otherwise. It's impossible to please everyone, so I need to go with the majority favour on a lot of things. (I even did a poll about this exact thing months ago to see what my viewers thought) Thanks for stopping by, and hopefully this answers some of your questions 🙏
“Parce qu’ils ne nous aiment plus” means because they don’t love us anymore “Parce qu’ils ne s’aiment plus” mean because they don’t love themselves anymore.
Helloo, I love your analyses Videos. I got into your channel with the Acappela reactions. These days I've been really into a band called Polyphia. It would be amazing to see your thoughts on it. Kisses from Brazil
I always love your thoughts, because you're so spot on, but I don't agree with you that there's something "teasing" in this. To me it's just a journey in the musical landscape of the song and how it's perfomed. What I mean is that the intention is not to "tease"... just take me as a listener along, the emotions. But I still love and respect your knowledge and thoughts. 🙏❤️
Thank you! Please, could you check out Swedish rock/metal singer Tommy Johansson and his cover of The Winner Takes It All? He's got an incredible voice and plays all instruments himself. If you prefer a x-mas song, try his Ave Maria. 😉 Greetings from Germany! subscribed ✔️
Vielen Dank, Iris! 🙏 Really appreciate it While I don't receive direct requests via SuperThanks, I have seen Tommy Johansson commented several times before and he is actually on my list (which is large and ever-growing), so hopefully one day we'll get round to his stuff!📋
A song by Lara which, to my knowledge, has not received any reaction on youtube Wrongly forgotten in my opinion ua-cam.com/video/yZ6zYoq7pjM/v-deo.htmlsi=Y5BzNnli415PfJBo
I don't think you're right about the French language. You probably aren't familiar with poetry. What's the point of having nice sounding words to express desperation ? That's why English is a soup & French is a meal

It's another great power ballad of Lara. She's so good in this kind of songs.
As for this concert (which I believe was actually recorded in 2001) it's quite quintessential Lara, as it marked her comeback to Europe after her north american adventure "failed" because of the Sony boycott
The album presented here "Nue" is one her best IMO
When you mentioned this was your first reaction to this concert I was surprised since I thought you had already done the famous "emotional performance" of Je T'Aime which is from this show as well.
That is arguably her biggest french hit song and it's usually reacted here because of something special that happens

I don't know if you have heard the song Europa, the singer is Monica Naranjo. She is a beast!! Any of her songs are fantastic.
“Parce qu’ils ne nous aiment plus” means because they don’t love us anymore
“Parce qu’ils ne s’aiment plus” mean because they don’t love themselves anymore.
It is a pity that the translation is so bad. She was suicidal after all the contract issues in the US. The words say so much.
She also had her heart broken.

Thank you! Please, could you check out Swedish rock/metal singer Tommy Johansson and his cover of The Winner Takes It All? He's got an incredible voice and plays all instruments himself. If you prefer a x-mas song, try his Ave Maria. 😉

Vielen Dank, Iris! 🙏 Really appreciate it
While I don't receive direct requests via SuperThanks, I have seen Tommy Johansson commented several times before and he is actually on my list (which is large and ever-growing), so hopefully one day we'll get round to his stuff!📋
🇨🇦 Pity about that guitarist being blind ! 😜 🇨🇦
A song by Lara which, to my knowledge, has not received any reaction on youtube
Wrongly forgotten in my opinion

If you haven't heard Paolo Nutini - Iron Sky (Abbey Road Live Sessions), please react. It's really good!

That's why English is a soup & French is a meal
That's fine 😊
