RIP 360. Fallout 3, GTA 4, Mass Effect Trilogy, Dark Souls 1+2, MK9, SF4, Arkham Asylum and City, Borderlands, Gears, Portal 2, Oblivion, Skyrim... so many great games on this console.
So many memories for me, so many games over so many years, I had a ps3 as well, but there was something special about 360 for me, thanks for watching Slurms!

The E models aren't as reliable as the original models with the Jasper motherboard from 2009 to 2010 and the S model with the Trinity motherboard from 2010 to July 2011.

My father still uses a 360, as that was one of the main consoles my family used during our childhood (we got to avoid the red ring of death due to getting the console later). A couple of days ago he asked if I could try to find any new controllers for it in store to replace the battle worn ones he still has while I was out shopping, but he'll have to order a replacement at some point.

RROD was horrible. I sent to Microsoft and got it back but it RROD'd again. Used the qtip trick to make it work for a while but it didn't last too long. Xbox 360 Elite lasted me as long as it needed to. Not sure if it still works now but it was a solid console.
I watched the microsoft made documentary about the red ring, and it's insane that they just ate that cost to replace EVERY SINGLE UNIT lol probably no other company in the world could do that

I still have my Xbox 360 S model with the Trinity motherboard (manufactured in early 2011) and it's still going strong. My first model was from 2007 with the Zephyr motherboard but it sadly succumbed to the red ring of death.
Yes, I own a PS5 and a Switch as well but don't play those systems as much as my 360 since the 360 offers an expansive library worth of games with quality single player and multiplayer gameplay.

I just bought an Xbox 360 S off eBay today and I plan on using it to play games that aren’t backwards compatible on my one s, I never had a 360 since I had a Wii that is still going strong to this day. Only times I would play on the 360 were when I was at a relatives house or the display demos at stores

This is my favorite console and I've had 4 die as a kid so I'm sitting on 4 that I still use on occasion I figure 4 consoles will last my remaining lifespan lol

I just bought a Xenon manufactured in December 2005, but it still looks and works great. I’m hoping that if a Xenon can live this long without RROD, it can go another twenty years, lol. I got it for a steal so I couldn’t pass it up, Xenon or not.
Question ...are the games going away if you already bought them?... or Is it possible to buy all the games before they close the marketplace.
The digital games I have purchased, are suppose to be re downloadable for the foreseeable future, even after the 360 store closes. The other 2 I have on disc, I will hang onto those for now, incase they are made backwards compatible I the future. Rainslick and Dishwasher are unfortuanitly not playable on xbox series s/x even though they are digital. Licensing or something from what I read, which sucks.
