Great guide. I didn’t realize I could teleport from anywhere in the map. I thought you had to be on a waypoint to teleport as that’s how most games are.
Glad you enjoyed it! Tbh, some things have changed since I made the guide. I would recommend this video as a more current resource: ua-cam.com/video/HlwfQFjQC_s/v-deo.html
There are a couple things that are out of date *cough cough, grimoires*, but I'm glad you found it helpful! I might do one in the future, depending on interest and how much value I think I can add
Very good Video. I just started playing and this really helps. I didn't know about the key mechanic and was really scared by the map event because in my first run I got absolutely destroyed during the defense phase. Guess I have to give it a try again
Depending the houses can be hard, especially with some spawns. I didn't talk about this in the video, but the straw house is often the hardest to defend since enemies come from all directions (at least with the wood and stone quest, they're a little funneled). It's also tricky, because some enemies are harder to defeat as certain characters. I've lost the run several times to Treants + Spiders Nightmares during the event. I think you'll gradually get more comfortable in the fight as you have more experiences with it, but it might be difficult. There are other strategies for beating the game: if you watch some of my older videos, I have some Nightmare runs where I don't take the sidequest at all. But whatever you enjoy most!
Also, let me know if there are specific things you struggle with (camps, enemies, pathing, etc.) and I can potentially make content to cover those as well. Helping the new player experience is really important for the game, and I'd love to make a difference.
@@Frebr33ze I have to go through your videos step by step before I ask for anything specific (I declare you as my guide for this game). But I want to give some compliments to your editing style and the way you structure your video topics. It is compact, gives all the valuable information you want to get as a player and it is entertaining at the same time. In april when the new update is released, I surely can come up with new questions
I'm getting started and have a lot to learn, but it's good to know that the fundamental structure and information density are working for you! For informational videos, I generally prefer people have to pause and think than skip over content-light segments. I look forward to hearing more from you down the road as you explore :)
Yes! If you're using keyboard/mouse, you can press tab and mouse over everything and see a tooltip. I'm not certain what the controls would be for controller, but I imagine you can find them in your options/settings menu
@greyhound4639 not anymore, grimoires got updated (I ran through most of the changes here: ua-cam.com/video/2wnDtiJwMYo/v-deo.html). I think the best pathing guide right now is probably this one: ua-cam.com/video/HlwfQFjQC_s/v-deo.html
For me wjite lady is easy and i cant beat ghould guy mini boss :( Well actyally i can but its very long fight :S No Idea how it supposed to be killed fast :|
That's funny, it's the opposite for me! What hero do you generally play? My strat against the ghoul mini-boss is to rush in, dodge the spit attack with my dash, use an intangible ability for his bite, and kite when I see him picking up a rock. However, I generally do tank some damage anyway. I play a lot of Scarlet, so I try to have wolf form for mini-bosses, since the life steal and the intangible frames help a lot for those fights. The biggest thing is to try to stun him quickly and don't let his staggerbar regenerate, because the damage reduction is so high with it up. I also try to take this mini-boss very late in the chapter, which means I might just have higher stats when I face him compared to you. Here are some examples of how I handle this fight (these are a little sloppy tbh, but work): 15:55 in this video: ua-cam.com/video/lu3POnPldPY/v-deo.html 26:05 in this video: ua-cam.com/video/dU4shs_Ci0I/v-deo.html
Haha that is the most flattering comment I've ever gotten on a video! I don't have a chapter 2 tutorial in the works just yet, and it will probably be a couple weeks before I can wrap up my WIP to pivot to it, but if there's enough interest, I can possibly prioritize it
What were you looking for? I'll probably release more videos to help new players, and if there are specific aspects of the game you're having more trouble with, I could incorporate your feedback into them
@@jamiehurricaneWhat kinds of enemies or camps shut you down when you tried it out? And and just for my benefit, have you played titles like Hades, Vampire Survivors, or other Roguelikes like Risk of Rain (1 or 2) or Gunfire Reborn before?
Fwiw, Ravenswatch (particularly at higher difficulties) is kind of the Dark Souls of the recent wave of top-down roguelikes, and frankly for a lot of players, the difficulty is part of the draw. That said, part of the reason I started making videos is to try to bring down the barrier to entry.
Learned some good stuff! Not a lot of good RW content right now so this channel was nice to find
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very informative video
Glad you think so!

It actually used to be that way, but they changed it based on player feedback 🤷♂
Thanks for the guide

Huh I did my first run last night and didn’t realize I needed to kill the tentacles. I just attacked the center part of the boss until he died lol
Haha if it works it works
Is there a way to check my abilities and talents in a run?
Yes! If you're using keyboard/mouse, you can press tab and mouse over everything and see a tooltip. I'm not certain what the controls would be for controller, but I imagine you can find them in your options/settings menu
Is this guide up to date? I'm not getting the option for talent rarity from grimoires anymore.

Doesn't help at all. You assume a high level of game knowledge.
What were you looking for? I'll probably release more videos to help new players, and if there are specific aspects of the game you're having more trouble with, I could incorporate your feedback into them
@Frebr33ze put it this way, I watched your video, bought the game, mashed buttons 15 minutes then got a refund.
