I had completely forgotten True Instinct existed. It's just never really seemed like an option to take against anything. Thx for the great overview, take care.
@@torpor8652 haha same, when it pops up with something else my brain only processes 1 option, think I took it for nightmare completion and never touched it again
@@jupo. yeah probably the most fun attack build in the game with Aladdin right behind, feels great when you have adrenaline and slash flurry hitting 5 attacks in under a second
@@GutoGerbase Explosive rush use to be her best talent, especially when murderous intent filled all of the combo points with energy, explosive rush is still a good take if you’re going the special build to have two ways to proc everything but not as crazy as it used to be
@@darekztvnu5789 yeah completely agree the upgrade should be damage based not stack based, there’s also times in combat as werewolf where you don’t have an attack opportunity and the stacks fall off mid combat, feels really bad. I also think if you use a 3 combo point power it should give you 3 stacks
One other thing I really like about On the Hunt is that Marked is as big of a damage amp as Vulnerability, but On the Hunt is the only way to get Marked, whereas Vulnerability can be applied a couple of different ways (through allies' abilities, Ring of Dispel, Armor Break, etc.). It doesn't have AoE, but has a decent base duration (4 seconds base, with +2 per upgrade) and will switch to new targets after eliminating the current target. By comparison, Armor Break does have AoE, but has a shorter base duration and worse upgrade scaling (3 seconds base, +1 per level). On the Hunt isn't quite as good against groups of enemies as Armor Break, but really shines against tanky enemies, like mini-bosses/chapter bosses. Bottom line, getting Marked is a little rarer than getting Vulnerability, so head to head, I'd take Marked, and outside of that, it's better single-target. Armor Break is better multi-target, but On the Hunt is still okay against groups. Enjoyed the video, thanks for putting this together!
Oh yeah that's a great point, in co-op with someone like Pied Piper or Aladdin On the Hunt is the way to go as you already have vulnerable covered. And it's cool that your co-op parteners also get the damage buff, really helpful in boss fights. Also great to see you here! Your channel has done a lot for me (and the community) in understanding things like damage, damage reduction, and statuses. I find myself linking your channel as a reply to a lot of comments asking about things like that
I actually envisioned those videos as resources for new and learning players that would retain relevance for a while, so it's good to hear they're still useful! I'm also really happy to see the growth of your channel: one of the reasons I got into UA-cam was because I felt Ravenswatch ought to have a bigger following, but there was hardly anyone making content (particularly after OhDough moved on to other games). New players need a little taste of the community and a place to ask their questions, and when the game launches, I expect you're going to be a great resource for them. Thanks for being so consistent!
Scarlet is the only character I haven't won with on NM mode. I've made it to last boss three different times and died every time cause I got stuck in an animation and the boss did it's one hit kill. So I'm waiting for the update in hopes they finally change the transformation to instant like her starting talent. It seems like she transforms every time I got the boss staggered and I lose 4 seconds of primo dmg. Knowing the way the devs like to nerf everything, they will probably increase the transformation time, lol.
@@reboot3332 haha hopefully not 🤞And it’s programmed to have her transform the second you get the boss to half health which is pretty annoying because that tends to be during damage phases. I wish they had a better solution for that because it does feel bad
Regarding the bleed/burn she has..it does tick heals with the wolf defense effect on/black lotus..and vorpal blade can make the dots nice for finishing off trash..still not super worth..but whatever lol
Burn and ignite are weird, they scale with attack so I guess that it'd make sense they get black lotus, but yeah evisceration is weird, feels like they had the concept for bleed with carmilla and realized she was the only character with it and threw it on to scarlet. I'm hoping they rework devourer to also add some bleed effect so it can proc with evisceration
Both depending on the build, shotgun and roar are good for stagger and roar can clear camps when positioned well, shotgun also can get a lot of shards in chapter 3 from gargoyles. The fog cloud is amazing for co-op and the bite can be helpful aginst purple jinns or birds but overall i agree that her ults are pretty underwhelming
I am surprised you are ranking Short Wick so low. Especially early game, if you are playing a Special build, it makes camps so much easier.. Also it helps a lot with breaking gargoyles. and as I understand it stacks additively with Raven's Beak though I may be wrong.
@@Paulorrrrrr oh yeah that’s true it doesn’t get the diminishing returns that taking multiple raven beaks does so that’s a big benefit. It’s more so that I’d prefer things like pyromania, explosive rush, and armor break prior to it cause you can play around the bomb stun a bit with her defense
do you have anything about how stats work? is hard for me to understand the value that attack vitality crit and armor have on the game and what should i prioritize
Damage (sword) is one to one on damage boost so 60 would be 60% more damage calculated on all of your sources of damage (this is why golden egg stacked up tends to be better than something like ace of spades), 1 vitality is one health at level one and multiplied by 10% for each level you have, crit damage is 1.5x damage plus any added crit damage from talents or grimoires + any crit chance you have over 100%, and I recommend this video for understanding armor (in short armor does more for you at the lower amounts and has diminishing returns as you start to pass 50+ armor). Sorry for loading up this comment Frebr33ze has done a lot of good work covering things like damage and crit and how they interact ua-cam.com/video/3fiHs5bY34I/v-deo.htmlsi=1peeMLr2msrmo4QJ
