    Nice info. Most complain about the bolt and cheek rest issues. Thanks for showing how to get the bolt in/out for cleaning. If more people saw this they would buy it... Sweet rifel!

      It wouldn't definitely be nice to get it out easier, but it doesn't have to be a deal breaker. Thanks for watching!

      I talked with Magpul today and they said purchase a no rise cheek rest. The stock comes with a .250 rise cheek rest. This would eliminate pulling the cheek rest to remove bolt.

    Very (!) Good video without a lot of fanfare or stumbling over words, unlike some videos that have the narrator saying "um" about every third word it seemed. THOSE videos have me shutting them down RFN and moving on.
    I don't care if it is the ONLY video on the subject.
    Thanks again.

      This went on my dad’s 30-06 and he has really enjoyed the stock. It is his hunting rifle and he finds it a lot more comfortable and enjoyable to shoot now.

    I have had the same problem with screws being too short. When I ordered extended screws they are way to long. I've talked to MAGPUL a couple of times about this and they will give you the correct length needed but, they don't sell them Brownell does. I ordered two differnet part numbers from Brownell just in case and sure enough one set is way too long. Waiting for the other to come in to see if they fit before I get out the file. Good luck

      We ended up getting the correct length and everything went together smooth with the right size action screws.

      It seems to be a common problem when using an aftermarket stock.

    You were sure putting some pressure on that torque before it clicked. 60 inch pounds is 5 foot pounds which isn't much.

    Impressive stock design. I am thinking of purchasing this stock for my Rem 700ADL 06. However, I have two concerns; 1- is this stock heavy enough (as original) to withstand the recoil, not to mention a drop? 2- does it come for the ADL, (no door or opening at bottom).? I see your father's is also an ADL, no bottom plate door. Please be as explicit as possible ,thank you.. John
    (Oh, you said this color is "sniper gray"..?

    Wonderful older 700.
    Does your rear sight mess with your scope?
    Great upgrade

      No, it’s so out of focus that you don’t have to worry about it.

    Nice video, Do you think a conversion of Remington 783 300 win mag for stock magpul will work, and what would be needed thanks

      I don't know a lot about the 783, but I believe it takes a different stock than the 700 rifles.

    What's the weight difference between the new stock and the original?

    I have the same exact rifle and stock. I purchased the longer action screws from brownells and they are both TOO long. I'm just going to cut them down to size, did you guys have to do the same? Or are there different sets of long action screws that Brownell's sells?

    • @AdventureColorado
      @AdventureColorado  2 роки тому

      I didn't have to trim these screws, but it's not uncommon for them to come a little long and have to be trimmed to the appropriate length.

      The long action should work with you 7mm Remington Magnum, you will need to use Magpul’s magnum long action magazines. bit.ly/3ijaAP4

    Can I use The Hunter 700L with my Remington 700 ADL 243?

    • @AdventureColorado
      @AdventureColorado  4 роки тому

      A 243 Win rifle would be short action, so you would want to use the Hunter SA, here is a link to the short action at Brownells: alnk.to/cHEAvIB

    What happened to the other screw in the middle of the wood stock? It's not used on the new stock?

    • @AdventureColorado
      @AdventureColorado  3 роки тому

      The ADL stock had two action screws and a third to hold the trigger guard. Since we switched to a detachable magazine bottom metal, we only needed the two action screws. The trigger guard is part of it and it spans the entire length.

    Why do people cycle live ammo in their rifle in their house with the firing pin still in the rifle?
